Pastries looks SO good but we're honestly kind of disappointing. I tried the thyme, blueberry and cheese scone - as well as the banana walnut chocolate bread and wasn't a fan of either. The bread was oddly dry and thick - and the scone was salty. I tried a seasonal drink (honey butter corn latte, half sweet) and it was decent. I thought it didn't taste very much like corn but I really liked the beans they use. Workers were friendly and welcoming without being pushy.

ordered this seasonal drink -- hazelnut praline latte -- i got it less sweet and thought it was really yummy! service was quick too. it wasn't too sweet and had an authentic, homemade hazelnut flavor, not like the torani coffee syrup most cafes sell. i always think the prices here are a bit steep but they're consistent and i like that their flavors are made in house

This is place is breaking the law by false advertising

I like the food and drinks but the service leaves room for significant improvement. They have a sign up advertising 'happy hour, 10 am to 11 am, buy one cookie get one free'. My daughter was excited so we came the next day at 1030, only to be told the offer expired - yet it's still on the wall with no expiration dates. I advised the manager, (Winfrey?), that they are falsely advertising, which is breaking federal and state laws and that he should honor the advertised deal until the sign is removed. Winfrey said he couldn't do that, that the sign is up as a decoration, and I should voice my concerns to the owner, but he would not give me a contact. No email address listed on the website either. As a Maman regular, I am unimpressed and concerned with the service and integrity of this place.

It's a very small interior, just a few tables and very claustrophobic. I placed an order at the counter for a caprese sandwich. It took about 15 minutes for them to make it because there were two orders before mine. There's nowhere to wait for your food order. No matter where you wait, you're in the way. The caprese was warm, cut in two, tasted really fresh and incredible, and felt like a good value despite the $14 price tag. The pastry selection was pretty decent, and everything looked fresh and neatly arranged. The cashier seemed like she hated her job. If you wanna see some happy employees, go to Tatte!

Cute little coffee shop and bakery with a variety of yummy treats and beverages options. Arrived and was greeted and helped promptly. I ordered a cappuccino and their famous chocolate cookie. Both were delicious! Perfect place to sit and relax and unwind with yummy treats!

Wow what a cute little cafe. The coffee was really good. I got a caramel latte with oat milk. I didn't like that there was an up charge for milk alternative though. The cashier had the typical gen z stare kind of service. There was more personality from the barista. The Nutella beignet was filling and not overly sweet. I definitely will be coming back.

Besides the prices (which I'm sure are pretty much standard for DC, I'm just unused to the exorbitant prices here as a tourist) I have zero complaints. I got the everything croissant sandwich and it was divine. You can definitely taste the quality in each ingredient, especially the salmon, and the flavors mesh together beautifully. It's also clearly freshly made which just makes it a practically perfect croissant sammie. Also grabbed the cinnamon bun kouign maman as an impulse purchase and did not regret it at all. I went late in the day so I didn't expect it to be very fresh, but it was still soft and flaky which was a sweet surprise. You can taste the buttery richness but you can't feel it -- wildly delicious. The decor is a bit gaudy, but they pull it together nicely and the muted colors make it much less offensive to the eye and probably a very chill environment to do some work in. But the dishes are the star of the show anyway so I would suggest sitting down and eating there just to get a look at some of their gorgeous plates!

The Katie and hot chocolate were delicious and the costumer service was great! The workers were very helpful and quick to serve us our food.

Wow wowee wow wow wow. Just 2 reviews but this place deserves the 5 star rating! We came here yesterday morning for pastries and they did not disappoint. We got an apple jam cupcake with chai frosting, ham and cheese croissant, like this croissant cylinder with vanilla cream on top, as well as a small coffee. Everything was wonderful and tasty. We returned again today after trying out un je ne sais quois and being thoroughly disappointed by their stale selection. This time we got 2 pistachio croissants to go (a popular item they said), a square croissant, and a cream filled croissant, and a honeycomb croissant. Can't wait to try them out!!!! Also, apparently saints get their pastries here? Tmi but I asked a customer that was leaving the shop if they had a pad and they didn't but lived nearby and ran back across the street to give me some. I guess you are what you eat cuz she is so good. Shout out to the kind young lady with the curly hair who helped out a woman in need!

didn't know it was petite when i walked in... but got the overnight oats & honeycomb latte! sad it was premade & the seeds in the latte were kinda weird. but it was a fine experience, would love to give it another try.

Love their vegan options (croissants, carrot cake, etc)! Pretty good coffee and matcha lattes too. The prices are pretty standard for coffee shops/bakeries of this kind. This particular location is small, and only really has seating outside, compared to other Maman spots like Navy Yard. I've found the service to be friendly at all locations. Overall I'm glad this chain expanded to DC!

Was in DC and wanted to get some pastries and noticed that there is now a petite maman near Dupont?! The place is definitely more of a pickup and go but they do have a small amount of seating both inside and outside. When I got inside, I was captivated by the pistachio croissant holiday tree. I asked the person working what it was and he was unsure and there was also no sign around it saying what it was and what was inside (which I thought was a little odd). He was able to ask another worker and then when I heard pistachio croissant, I decided I wanted to get it. The croissant was delicious but this is definitely a pastry I would share/split with someone. The croissant itself is flaky and soft and the inside is filled with pistachio cream. I wished that the cream had a bit more pistachio flavor but it seemed to have a bit of an almond flavor as well which kind of over powered the pistachio flavor. Overall, would like to come back to try some other pastries as they have a WIDE selection and also their coffee!!

Unfortunately, the location in DC has permanently closed and we were still very much in the mood for some pastries... my cousin who is French has previously sang the praises of this Lil French pastry shop, so of course I had to give it a try. I am so happy that I did because I truly believe that I have stumbled upon my new favorite pastry shop in the area! Upon walking in the smell of croissants and almonds and sweet, sweet delicacies filled my nostrils. I basically became the human version of Remy from ratatouille inhaling a delicious bouillabaisse simmering on the stove top for hours....seeing colors and flavors so bright and intoxicating I simply had to have it I walked in and my eyes were instantly attracted to so many delicious options from classics like Palmiers and Napoleons to some unique flavor combos I've never tried before combined like raspberry and pistachio. Of course, I decided to grab a little bit of everything to make an accurate assessment as a YELP Elite should!! My favorite hands-down was the Berry Millefuille. The way the pastry crumbled in my mouth with every bite, combined with the tart, fresh raspberries, and thick flavorful custard.... Was worth every penny. Honorable mentions go to the peach rosemary tart, which was so unique with the added botanical of rosemary with some fresh sweet peach slices on top and a very crunchy tart base. We all enjoyed everything we purchased! I also ordered one of their seasonal specialties, the rosemary latte with skim milk and iced. The flavors were so uniquely crafted to where you could taste everything but everything combined together for the perfect sip. The ladies who greeted us at the cash register were so patient, so kind, and so understanding of my excitement and difficulty deciding and they even helped me add on a little chocolate happy birthday rectangle to the pastry I purchased for my husband! Without a doubt, this is only the first of the many times I will visit the establishment. It was so authentic, so delicious and passed all the vibe checks even from the French side of the family. I was told I have to return when they first open to have a fresh croissant and a fresh baguette that is on par with what you would have in Paris. Even the items in the fridge were made in France and were delicious fruit nectars that were very unique- we purchased a passionfruit nectar that didn't even make it past the doors before we had completely inhaled it and purchased a lychee nectar for later. I am so excited to have learned about this establishment and believe me when I say you must run, not walk, to experience it for yourself. Note- The dine in area inside the establishment is limited to a couple small tables. Definitely not equipped for large parties and a couple outdoor seatings right outside.

The folks on this side were very sweet and helpful. When we went over to "Wired" to get our coffees, there were a bunch of *other* treats over there, which nobody told us about, so that was annoying because then we would have ordered way fewer items. So we got a couple more goodies here as well as our iced coffees and a hot cocoa for our kiddo. The folks on this side were unfriendly and uninterested in customer service ("Just checking in on our quiche...?";"Oh, we totally forgot. We'll put it in now."). We weren't impressed with most of our items though some were better than others. Unsurprisingly, the cupcakes were the best; we got the nutella and "unicorn" ones, and both were moist with excellent frostings. We especially appreciated the filling in the nutella. The chocolate chip cookie was terrible--our daughter, a cookie fiend, refused to have another bite of it. We liked the novelty of the "orange dream" shortcake. As for the other stuff, the spicy sausage biscuit was not spicy at all and had the consistency of rubber. The quiche that finally came out was too oily, but we all liked the decadent cinnamon roll. Bit of a mixed bag all around, so we're settling on three stars. We ourselves won't be back, but others might have a better experience on a different day.

I had absolutely no plans on buying or eating cake that day, but as a cake lover stuff happens. It was such a cute building the pastries had to be everything! It turned out to be the perfect stop. 1. The looks The building itself is so cute on the outside, and being a fan of the color pink, it instantly caught my attention. Inside, it feels less like a fast, high volume bakery and more like an intimate cake boutique. It gives small town where the owners know you by your first name. You can feel that real love was put into the space and the baking. Tasted like every ingredient was hand mixed, every cake hand frosted, and every cookie carefully hand scooped. They even served my slice of coconut cake on a real plate, which was such a cute, bourgeois touch that I loved. 2. Service The hospitality here is top-notch. On my first visit, yes you heard me! Lol! The gentleman Eric who rang me up was incredibly knowledgeable about all the different cookie and cake flavors. I ended up returning the very next day, and although he wasn't there, the other two staff members working which included Mikaela were absolutely delightful and so kind. The young lady told me her daughter loves the carrot cake as well and Mikaela said they started working there because they loved the patties so much! 3. The Cakes -Coconut Cake: This slice was so delicious, fluffy, and airy that it instantly reminded me of being a kid at holiday family meals with a fresh coconut cake on the table. -Carrot Cake: It was everything you want a carrot cake to be. It was nice and dense yet soft, with a pleasant texture from the added fruits. Definitely noticed pineapple bits! The cream cheese frosting wasn't overly thick and was so good you could eat it completely by itself. -Strawberry Cupcakes: I stole a small bite of my son's. unfortunately, this one was my least favorite. The frosting had a little chemical taste to it but it was a super cute cupcake. To answer your question, will I return? Absolutely! This is a very small bakery but, there were many ppl in line so I figured it would be pretty good. My friend got a coffee and also enjoyed that! This is the perfect place to stop by for a treat if you make it in time!
