After reading the great reviews we drove from popui to the food truck in Waimea. I ordered the Da Bearrito which was a burrito filled with homemade chorizo, crispy potatoes, and scrambled eggs. The chorizo tasted great. My only problem is that I thought the chorizo overwhelmed the other ingredients in the burrito. As I ate the burrito all I could taste was the chorizo. Stoked for another new food truck for da west side. Their loco Moco is the best on the island! The gravy full of flavor, the meat had nice char, and the portion was so big! We stopped here after a morning hike around Waimea Canyon and WOW are we glad we did! My husband ordered to loco moco and I got Da Boujee Breakfast. No coffee to order, but they directed us to a delicious coffee spot just behind their place while we waited for our food. Back to the food....do not pass up Da Boujee Breakfast! When I say this was one of the best things I've ever eaten, I'm not kidding! The flavor profile was next level and I've been thinking about having one again ever since. I shared my compliments to the owner and she was so sweet and humble. As we were finishing up, she brought us out a free piece of apple cake and a sticker. Good overall. Definitely a great place to stop when you're on your way to Waimea Valley. Although the food was really good, I would not agree with some of the other posters as the best thing on the island. It was definitely good food and hearty portions though. There were four of us and we had four different things: club, BLT, Ahi salad (which was NOT the Ahi special as stated by others) and the smash burger. Don't skip this special little Waimea food truck. They had something to satisfy all 5 of our travelers, which is hard to do. We had loco moco, boujee flatbread, grilled cheese, and quesadillas, and our group ate in silence as everyone devoured their dishes. The flatbread was so tasty with crispy prosciutto, mushrooms, arugula and balsamic drizzle. Every last crumb was eaten, and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. I don't eat meat often but had a bite of the smash burger as it was surprisingly better than my order lol! We had the Bearwich, which was absolutely delicious! Everything tastes so fresh. The best part of this food truck is the people working in it! They are so kind and friendly. If you're a dog lover, you're going to want to stop here! They have the cutest pups hanging about to love on while you have breakfast or lunch. I read a few comments, and everything sounded great. I'm thoroughly biased because I grew up here, and most of my favorite places to eat are long gone. When I got to the window of this good looking food truck, I wasn't surprised to be greeted with a great smile and welcoming, "Hi, and what can I get for you today?" I asked her opinion on which meal she would recommend, the Smashburger or Loco Moco? She genuinely replied,"Oh wow that's a hard one!" So I got both. I had it to go because I wanted to be comfortable at home before I ate this. And it was well worth the wait! I couldn't finish half the Loco moco plate which was pretty big. Big Homemade patties and lots of good brown gravy and onions. I've had a few of these before at sit down restaurants on Oahu, but this one blows them away! I finally tried the smashburger with cheese and fries and it just made me smile to know West Kauai has a spot that I know I can count on for a great meal!
