Loved everything we ordered at Village Burger - definitely one of the best burgers I've had. 10/10 meal! We ordered online and the food was ready by the time we got there - easy pick up. Tried: double burger, Wagyu burger and truffle fries with surf dip Loved: every thing. The surf dip was unique, the truffle fries were perfectly crisp and tasty, the Wagyu burger had a perfect char and fantastic flavor. read more

Fresh, hearty, flavorful. What can beat a locally raised beef patty and Truffle Fries?! One of our fav burger spots in Waimea. Located inside the food court at Parker ranch shopping center. There are a few tables in the restaurant but also a bigger area to sit in the food court. Lighting isn't too bright inside the food court area. read more

This place was recommended by a friend and we give it a 4.5/5! We ordered the Hawaiian island beef burger! My husband added a fried egg and I added mushrooms! We got a plain burgers for our girls to share and they even cut it in half for us. It's the little things! We also got regular fries and parm fries! 10/10!!!! The fresh garlic in the parm fries made it extra delicious! The staff is kind and were apologetic when they were sold out of the lamb burgers. Next time we will just have to go earlier!! There's picnic tables out front, a few high chairs inside or you can sit in the food court area - tons of tables! read more

We went for lunch on Sunday and mid line, the girl announces they are stopping orders for 10 minutes because they were behind. Mind you it was 3 teenagers working but not moving fast so duh, of course your going to be behind! My daughter wanted a plain cheeseburger....took 30 minutes to get after our order and everything was soggy and flavorless. What a waste of time! Maybe this place needs adult supervision. read more

Worth a Trip from the Mainland ! Waimea Hawaii (Big Island ) Home of the World famous Parker Ranch has a Burger and Fries you will remember. Grass fed Beef ground in house daily with the perfect mix of fresh chuck and brisket. " What a true burger aspires to be " and I would be remiss if I did not tell you the fries matched up to this robust delicious burger. Locally sourced is a theme for Village Burger. I opted for the Bacon Double Cheeseburger and fries. And I will be back ! Ono ! read more

Enjoy one of the best burgers on the Big Island with the roosters at this laidback shopping center in Waimea.

Look- the burger is tasty. It truly is... But look at our pic. Do you think this is a well-behaved burger or not? I get so annoyed at a hand-held entree you can't actually enjoy using your hands, i.e. way too uncooperative and sloppy to be fully enjoyed... everything falling out everywhere. Thye make a good milkshake though, so 4 stars for them overall... read more

Ordered five hamburgers and sides on the mobile app today. We ordered medium to medium rare on the burgers and all of them came out rare to raw. Our tentative pick up time was 1232, we were standing in their pick up line for 20 minutes beyond that until finally somebody asked what we were waiting for. We never heard them call our name or a number. The french fries are called. The burgers were cold. It almost looked like they just threw the hamburgers in the bag. I believe in supporting local small businesses, but this is $100 waste of money. I will not be coming back anytime soon. I would recommend everybody go to Waimea Butcher, big Island brewhouse or McDonald's in lieu of this place. read more

Delicious, fresh burger! Made to order, no antibiotics, no hormones. Good service and cute eating area!

Came here because this place is listed as one of the top eight burger places in the USA, per USAtoday. I ordered a Hawai'i Island Beef Burger with caramelized onions, as well as a side of fries with wasabi mayo dip. When you order it, they ask how you want your patty cooked. I got mine medium rare. The beef patty itself was 11/10, probably the best beef patty I've ever had. It was very juicy, fresh, flavorful, and thick. The rest of the burger was still good but did not stand out. I didn't have any sauce in my burger besides mayo, so the taste of the burger relied entirely on the beef patty (which some may prefer). The caramelized onions didn't seem to have any flavor, even when I ate them alone. The wasabi mayo was very faint in wasabi-flavor. It was like hearing someone yelling "wasabi" 200 feet away as you're eating fries dipped in the wasabi mayo. The fries were good as well but nothing special. Overall, I enjoyed my burger and would recommend you give it a try! But maybe add more toppings to it to make it stand out more and avoid the 60-minute onions and wasabi mayo dip. We came on a Tuesday late morning. Parking in the plaza lot was plentiful at the time. read more

I knew I was going to order an island beef burger but also got the mushroom burger out of curiosity. Both were really great. Local beef and veggies made these artisanal burgers stand out. The mushroom patty is kinda fragile but really tasty. Wanted to order a loco moco but ran out at 11:23am. Couldn't wait 1 hr for rice to be ready so just got the keiki a keiki patty and fries. We all enjoyed our meal and ate it in the food court. read more

On the last day of our vacation we went to eat at the Parker Ranch Center. I chose a burger at Village Burger. The burger was good, filling and well done, but definitely not memorable. It wasn't long before I couldn't remember what was in my burger except the bun and the meat. But I was definitely full and would probably do it again if I needed a bite to eat if I was nearby. I can't say anything about the atmosphere in the cafe because our family ordered different food and we sat at tables outside of Village Burger. The burger was prepared quickly and the staff was nice. read more

This is such a gem of a spot. Fresh and local ingredients really elevate the food. While the burgers are delicious they are a little heavy (depending on what you put on them; I love to do bacon, farm fresh egg and jalapeños!) so I've recently been getting their fish burger which is equally delicious! The star for me are the milkshakes and fries! You can tell they use real potatoes and you can get truffle salt seasoning on them! It's located in a shopping center so there's also some cute shops to check out while you're there. And while there's no indoor seating at the restaurant it's connected to a food court that has ample indoor seating with a few outdoor options as well. Service is wonderful! Be aware that they make everything fresh/to order so it can take a little bit to get your food if it's busy but that's just because everything is fresh and piping hot! read more

While the burger was great! ,waiting for it too long wasn't. It's a food court area so its ambience is a regular eating establishment.

First time in the Big Island in a long time and we love to hit the local farmers markets where possible. Since we parked on the lot of the Parker Ranch shopping center and used the bathroom in there, it was time for lunch. Seeing the ahi burger on the menu here, I decided to give it a try. My mistake perhaps is not reading the menu because I expected a solid piece of tuna versus chopped. Especially when the cashier recommended that it be cooked medium. No fries included. Taste wise, the first thing I get is the sweetness from the pickled cucumber and spread. I didn't expect the burger to be fried either. The brioche bun maybe was old because it was crumbly on the edges and in the middle. Id like to try a regular burger next time as yelpers have good reviews, and the truffle fries. We sat outside at one of three tables on a nice day. I love people watching. Don't go inside to Domino's or get Burger King or McDonald's across the way. Give this place a try. Support the locals. read more

Solid burger joint at the entrance of the food court in Kamuela. No real seating at the actual spot, but there are tables inside the food court pavilion. This is a burger joint, so don't expect to order kalbi ribs here. Simple menu really. A few burgers to choose from, and you get to select different toppings. The sides are just fries with various dipping sauces. Got the Hawaii Big Island Beef Burger with some sweet onions, greens and mayo. Pretty decent sized burger with a thick patty. The patty was really meaty. Could've used a tad bit more flavor though. Nothing spectacular, just a solid burger. The fries are twice cooked, so they're extra crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - the way a fry is supposed to be. This is a mom and pop joint, so they don't have a large assembly line to put together your food; don't expect your burger to come out in 5 minutes. Took about 20 minutes or so on this mildly busy afternoon, but I didn't mind as I knew it would be a while. Was worth it I think. read more

I really want to like this recommend this place, but I just cannot. I have had the worst luck with ordering here. I tried ordering medium, the burger was red and bloody in the middle. I tried ordering medium well. Cooked all the way through, charred on the outside. The inconsistency kills this place for me. A real shame, since its such a great idea, and their fries are just wonderful. read more

Wow! Village burger was delicious. I was headed back from Kohala and decided to stop at Parker Ranch for lunch. Village Burger is located at the corner of the food court and served delicious burgers. I called in a phone order and good thing we did because the line was super long when we got there. I let the worker know that we had a phone order and she let me skip the line to pay. The workers were friendly and working hard to get all the orders fulfilled. We ordered a lamb and big island beef burger. A simple burger, but it was so juicy and delicious. The truffle fries were okay, nothing too special. There is lots of seating on the inside of the Parker Ranch food court area. read more

Came here before and it was good, but this time not so much. While the burger was cooked well, the service was slow and the bun was rather mushy. 30+ minutes for one burger and fries is rather excessive. Workers were more engaged in talking than getting food out promptly. Four workers in the back and one working on the food. It wasn't busy either so not sure what was going on. read more

Best burger in Waimea great shakes limited outside seating well worth the wait..... will definitely be back

I love burgers, but I am not hard to please. While in Waimea we stopped at the shopping center on a Saturday for lunch. After walking around the food court 3 of us opted for a burger at Village Burger. I ordered a burger deluxe and substituted the grilled onion for raw. All together we ordered three burger and two orders of fries and three drinks. I ordered mine done medium and it was perfectly medium and delicious. I loved the char and the flavor of the beef. The fries and buns were also good. My problem is that the beef patty was dwarfed by the bun. There was at least a quarter inch of bun surrounding the beef patty. I was also surprised that my total came out to $56. Tasty, but too pricey for me. read more

Stumbled upon this local grass fed hamburger joint in Kamuela, we were so impressed with the hamburger, nothing beats local grown and fed. Menu also has vegie options with locally grown hamakua mushrooms. A little bit for everyone on their menu. They also do shakes, but we weren't in the mood for shakes, but I'd definitely want to try one next time we are in Kamuela. Ordered the double cheese burger and Hamakua mushroom burger with truffle fries, nothing disappointed, all was so onolicious, the burger was so fresh you could tell the ground beef was not from the mainland and the mushrooms were also fresh and locally grown. The hand cut truffle fries were the winner, had alot of flavor that is stood out. Service was a wee bit delayed but none the less as soon as the cook was done he came to take our order. A great place to stop for local fed and grown beef versus fast food burgers. read more

Stumbled upon this place while looking for a quick bite in Waimea. I'm so glad that I did. From the first bite you can tell that the burgers are fresh. Their blend is quite good and it really shows. Note that they are cash-only. There is limited seating outside, and they seem to run out of certain items by 2pm. I ordered the last gorgonzola burger, and lo and behold there was a thick piece of gorgonzola cheese on top. Delicious. They cooked it to a perfect mid-rare. Double delicious. It was slightly on the greasy side, but that's how I like it anyway. I ordered the truffle fries but it was light on the truffle flavor. Couldn't have asked for more from a local burger joint! read more

Good stuff! It's all made to order - so it can take awhile to get your food (perhaps we should've called ahead to order?). I got the mushroom burger and LOVED it! I asked to add the balsamic braised onions that are listed on the lamb burger, and they were phenomenal - it made this burger extra umami-licious. We also got their special of loco moco, and it was pretty good. Not our most favorite on the island, but a good meal nonetheless. Don't skip on this mushroom burger, it's something special... read more

For real, the BEST burgers!!! You choose your protein (TWO handmade options for vegetarian- mushroom or taro burger... both housemade), toppings and sides. Brioche buns are locally made and so fantastic! I had the taro burger with sautéed mushrooms, Swiss and avocado- HOLY SHIT! Soooo delicious! My daughter had the beef burger with cheddar- made to perfection and seasoned perfectly. The Parmesan fries are like the best cheesy garlic bread, but ON FRIES!!!! ok- not sure why you haven't started driving here yet, but you should!
