Stopped by to get something light & refreshing to drink while passing through Anahola. They have a whole menu of food but decided to get some lemonade to beat the heat. Locally made lemonade with an array of different flavors. I got "peles juice" made with strawberry & li hing mui. It was perfect & made to order. Staff was friendly & welcoming. I would love to come back to try some food to support this local business. read more

Da Melting Pot was the perfect unexpected find. I was standing in Anahola Marketplace sweating while waiting for my Lyft to the airport when I spotted the truck and decided to grab something cold. I ordered the Pele's Juice, a strawberry lemonade with li hing mui, and it absolutely hit the spot. It was refreshing, balanced, and exactly what I needed on a hot Kauaʻi afternoon. I was very disappointed with my "local fish and chips" plate. The fish did NOT taste like fish, my grandparents and I both thought that it tasted like chicken. While the breading and fries "chips" were good enough, I wanted the taste of fresh fish, which was sorely lacking in this dish. The shrimp have amazing flavor, but not splitting the back made it almost impossible to eat that dish. I'm glad "service with a smile" is just a suggestion. read more

Da Melting Pot was one of my favorite meals during my trip to Kauai. In the area, there were many different food trucks and this one caught my attention. They had a variety of different options, ranging from burgers to fresh seafood. The lady at the food truck was kind to me and answered any questions I had about the food. She described the Fish of the Day as fresh white fish which I cannot remember the name of. I was drawn to their Fish of the Day and Spicy Garlic Shrimp, so I ordered the Seafood Combo to try both! The Spicy Garlic Shrimp was filled with a lot of garlic, which I mixed into my rice. The shrimp was super fresh and juicy. The Fish of the Day was lightly fried to perfection, and I was blown away. Their homemade tartar sauce complemented the fish very well. On top of that, the portion size was beyond what I expected. Excited to finally make our way to this establishment, and wasn't terribly impressed by it. For some reason, the garlic shrimp was bland and lacked flavor...really disappointing. The burger was okay, at best, I was looking forward to a fresh Wailua beef patty but it was like a hockey puck. The young lady, perhaps was just having an off day and the lemonade was also lacking in the flavor dept. The service was great and the young lady was kind and helpful. We had the garlic shrimp and Ahu katsu. Both dishes were really excellent. The garlic shrimp probably better than alot of the shrimp trucks in Oahu. Prices were reasonable. Overall would return again if we are ever in the area. There is an area with shaded tables nearby where you can eat with a really good scenic view. 5/5!!! read more

Amazing spot for lunch! Happy to see that they had a vegetarian option with the taro burger, which was amazing - the sweet soy sauce and sriracha aioli were perfect on it. Other orders in our group were the ahi katsu, cheeseburger, and the fish of da day and everyone walked away happy. Will happily come back next time we're in Kapaa. read more

Truly one of the best meals I've had while visiting and I will definitely be coming back here again! Their menu had specials of the day, burgers, shrimp, fried fish, loco moco, and ahi katsu. Loved their Kauai garlic butter shrimp here. They open the shell of the shrimp on the sides which allowed a lot of the flavor to marinate the meat! It was so good! Salad on there wasn't necessary , i would have wish they had put a Mac salad instead. Definitely would recommend ! read more

My girlfriend and I have been wanting to go here for a couple of months. They are closed on the weekends so it's been a challenge but it was worth the wait. We got the cowgirl and the Teri bacon blue cheese burgers and they were maybe the best burgers we've ever had. The hamburger tasted like fish. Was juicy but not good at all. Wouldn't recommend for anyone who comes here. There was NO pickles and all the worker had was the house sauce which was also not good. Blud didn't have any ketchup either. Customer service was also terrible. It was outside the ambiance was fine. read more

It's crazy that the service could be worse than the food here. Every question we asked about the menu was rudely or not even answered by the staff member Brandi. She was so short and did not want to be serving customers. After receiving our food we asked for ketchup and she rudely responded "why do you need ketchup?" How does someone treat a customer like that? To top it off the food wasn't good at all. The fish was so fishy tasting-- not fresh at all. The crab sandwich had no meat. All bread. One of the best meals we had on the island thus far tbh, the burger was loaded with toppings but a proper bun to meat ratio, so good, we got the cowgirl. Don't let the prices dissuade you! The food is excellent and you get good portions. We had the Kauai shrimp and the fish of the day. Both come with salad and rice. The owner is very nice and she makes sure you know what you're ordering- I told her I wanted the lemon butter with my fish of the day and she said "are you sure?" I said "why?" And she told me that panko-fried was the better preparation for the fish. Silly me- I thought I was selecting the dipping sauce so I quickly corrected myself and told her I definitely wanted the panko-fried style. Anyway, my wife liked her Kauai shrimp so much that we came back the next day and ordered the same dishes except, this time, she went for the Lava shrimp plate which is the spicier version read more

Overall, don't regret trying this as it satisfied my loco moco craving, but I probably wouldn't drive 45min out of my way to get it.
