Food truck in Kapa'a. The truck is back from the road so when you find the group of food trucks, park and walk towards the ocean. There are no blinking lights or frills, just a blue menu taped to the truck and an open window. There was no line when I arrived. The gentleman who helped me was pleasant and helpful. I ordered the fish and chips, an extra tartar sauce, a can of passion orange juice and a side of the homemade habanero sauce. By the time I was done ordering and paying, an impressive line of tourists had formed behind me. I made use of the hand sanitizer and went to sit and wait. There are picnic benches across from the truck with ample seating. The area is kept clean. The sun was shining bright and a the breeze from the ocean was extremely relaxing. My food took about 10 minutes, he walked the food out personally instead of screaming from the window which I appreciated. I took the food and drink back to my car so I could listen to my book while I ate my lunch. The plate contained 5 battered and fried pieces of fish (mahi?) Andy who they were seasoned, crispy and golden brown, served over a large portion of crisp French fries. 2 tartar sauces, a ketchup and the anticipated habanero hot sauce. The fish was moist and flaky on the inside and tasted fresh. Absolutely delicious. The hot sauce.... The homemade habanero sauce should be bottled and sold. It starts off mild to allow your food to shine on its own then creeps in with the perfect amount of heat. Paired with the tartar sauce or ketchup (I alternated every bite) changed the profile in a way that no hot sauce I've ever eaten has allowed. There was no cloying aftertaste, no overpowering vinegar scent, the heat was not intense, but it was there in the background complimenting everything it touched. I am in Kauai several times a month and will definitely keep Tony's Catch in the rotation. read more

The restaurant that we had planned on visiting for lunch was closed for a staff day, so we checked on yelp for restaurants near us. It was the high review on Yelp that led us to check out Tony's. We are grateful that the other restaurant was closed! This food truck had some of the best fish and chips that we've had in a long time. The fish was fresh and the fries were crispy. The hand made tartar sauce was delicious. Plenty of tables with umbrellas are available. The food truck is right next to the beach. There are other food trucks nearby, but this was the one that was the most popular. The service was great - friendly and fast! read more

This is in a food truck zone and Tony's was the most popping place in the area. My Fish Tacos were perfect and the Carne Asada Fries were delicious, as well. Crispy & flavorful! Omg!! Best fish tacos we have ever had!!! They were so good looking, we gobbled them up and forgot to take a picture. Lol For $17 you get two large pieces of crispy beer-battered Mahi -mahi tacos topped with pineapple-cilantro slaw and cream sauce. They are served with homemade pinto beans and rice. The beans were amazing!!! The Mahi-mahi was fresh and cooked to perfection. DON'T FORGET to ask for the habanero hot sauce for $1. It's not too hot and it was soooooo delicious on the tacos. I had this place bookmarked prior to our visit to Kauai and my aunt actually sent me an Instagram post claiming this is the Number 1 Food Truck in the United States in 2025. So I HAD to go! There are several other trucks located here and there's ample seating available. It's just off the beach so if there aren't any tables, just grab a seat by the ocean! Service was great! I was helped right away and they bring the food to your table with utensils and napkins. I had to get the Zicatela-style fish tacos since that is their claim to fame. They did not disappoint. This place was delicious. We got the poke bowl with spicy tuna with rice. We dug in so quickly, we got a photo of our bowl half eaten (sorry!) This place was surrounded by other food trucks drawing a steady crowd. They had 6 shaded picnic tables for their customers on a sandy parking spot over looking the ocean. Great tacos and tostada. The fish and shrimp are nicely fried, and the ahi is grilled to be perfectly tender with a delicious crust. Went there three times while on Kauai for the weekend, it was that good. The green salsa on the fish tacos is more vinegar-y, while the pink salsa on the shrimp tacos is more like what I'm used to in Southern California. Next time, I want to try the fish tacos with the shrimp salsa. A little pricey for the quantity of food. There is a parking lot with plenty of space and lots of outdoor seating. read more

An amazing spot to pick up some great food and chill by the beach! The fried fish tacos were absolutely amazing and it came with some great rice and beans! They even had amazing habanero salsa! Cesar was super cool and ultra friendly! Had some good conversations, we went when it was near closing time but he was ultra chill and welcoming regardless! Definitely something to look into for gluten friendly options because they even knew to ask the severity of the sensitivity to determine if cross contamination would be a problem. Tony's Catch is in a little food truck spot near the ocean. You can sit at the picnic tables, with umbrellas, to wait for your meal, which is fine because it's a great view! The service was very friendly, and surprising for a food truck because normally you'd get your own food, clean up, and no one would check on you. Here at Tony's Catch they bring out your meal, check on you to see how everything is, and offer to collect your trash. We ordered fish tacos, the carne adds fries and the fish tostadas. I am not a seafood eater so I can't speak to how those meals were, but the words "epic" and "awesome" were used by my husband regarding the tostadas! And there was definitely enough to share, the portions were very generous. I enjoyed my carne asada fries very much. The tasted fresh and light due to the delicious toppings! Oh, geez! What a great find - thank you yelpers! Based on reviews we decided to stop by for lunch. We normally share something but just couldn't narrow down what we wanted so ended up ordering the fish tacos which we ate there and the socal burrito which is coming back with us to our condo to eat for dinner. Caesar was manning the truck today - super friendly! He took our order and told me it would take about ten minutes which it did. We grabbed a spot at one of the picnic tables overlooking the beach. He brought our food out to us when it was ready and came back to check on us a little bit later. Fish tacos were amazing - Wowser! So fresh and the avocado sauce on top is delicious.
