Extremely friendly staff, that was nice. I like that there are pictures of the food in front of the truck so you know what you are ordering. I ordered the pineapple chicken bbq and the side of protein for garlic steak. It was delicious, not overcooked and the rice was not overpowering with garlic. The side of corn was also refreshing. I would recommend.. at first I thought the portion could be bigger, but once I finished I realized it was a good portion size

    Brazilian plate - chicken

While I got poke for lunch nearby, my husband decided to get lunch from Da Fazenda. He got the Brazilian plate with chicken, and Pineapple Mint juice. He loved his lunch, the chicken tasted great, all the accompaniments were good, the salsa very fresh. We loved the juice, refreshing on a warm day.

De-constructed on a small plate? Yikes!
    Adam B.

Pretty simple food. Price feels a bit high for what your getting in the end. Wasn't thrilled to see that the food arrives "de-constructed" which is terrible on the single use paper plate. Flavar was different, but Im not lining up for it. Service was friendly person to person wise. Another food truck on Kauai, so pretty nice place to eat some food if the weather provides.

Delicious Brazilian food truck in Hanalei with great people and wonderful menu choices!

The food was delicious! I ended up eating here twice during my stay. There's so much to choose from so if you're anything like me and want to try a little of everything, I recommend going with the combo. It comes with your choice of protein, the fricasse, rice, beans, one pao de queijo and a salad. Say yes to the hot sauce it's flavorful and has a nice kick to it. It comes in a small container on the side. The shrimp was one of my favorite bites. I still think about it. The creamed corn brought me back to childhood in Haïti. It reminded me of a dish I grew up eating called soufflé de maïs. The pineapple mint juice is an absolute must. It is so refreshing and not too sweet. The pao de queijo is best hot. I also tried the moqueca (not pictured). It was okay but didn't stand out like the other dishes I tried. The team was super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in Hanalei. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Parking was not an issue and there was plenty of outdoor seating if you want to eat on the lot.

i'm giving this review with having very little experience with brazilian food-- mostly just judging based on flavors. Food was seriously lack salt/sodium. it's funny because i was thinking that with my food and then my husband goes "mine needs more salt" which i completely agreed. either that or more seasoning. the other reason i'm only giving it 3 stars is because the fish in my fish stew was quite dry, which was unfortunate. friendly staff. slow to get food but it was very busy on a sarueday at 1:00. sadly, a lot of the other food trucks in thr area were closed for lunch. overall, not a bad option but there are better around.

Very tasty - tried three different meals. Great beach food to go. A little pricier than other food trucks.

We'll definitely be back earlier next time. The wife who took our order was very patient while we looked over the menu since we missed out on the Benedict . From the time we ordered, it took about 25 minutes for the food to be ready . We ordered the burrito , which was really hearty and filling. I ended up sharing it with my husband. There were lots of eggs and the salsa verde that came with it was pretty good, though it could've used a little salt . The meat pieces were on the smaller side, and I think I found one piece of Portuguese sausage. We also tried the pork verde sandwich , which was really flavorful . The chips and country potato sticks were a bit overdone for my taste, but I really liked the garlic aioli . It paired well with both the country potatoes and the burrito and tied everything together nicely. Ambiance was casual and very Kauai, with covered picnic tables and the local chickens wandering around while we waited Overall, a solid breakfast stop with friendly service and we're looking forward to coming back early next time to try the eggs Benedict

Service was accommodating and attentive while we navigated the menu; they offered recommendation as well which we really appreciated it. To drink, I ordered the cold brew with mac milk. It was refreshing! Not too creamy if that's not your style. Also not too sweet - which I really liked. Friend ordered the banana bread which was good but not stand-out. To eat, we split a garlic shrimp plate, breakfast burrito, and churro French toast. The garlic shrimp was my pick and it was seasoned well. Some parts of the shrimp were a little too mushy but overall good. The best thing on that plate was the mac salad! The breakfast burrito was good but even better with the salsa provided. The star was truly the churro French toast - which is less of a French toast and more like a fried donut? Nonetheless, the sauce/cream it came with was divine and paired amazing with the cinnamon-y crispiness of the bread. A cute little spot in Hanalei worth trying if you find yourself along the north shore for brunch.

My husband found them on-line and from the moment of initial contact, Carla was amazing to work with. Our wedding was a destination wedding with the reception in the backyard of a large house that our family rented. We had about 24 guests including us, which seemed like a lot for a destination wedding. We had a wedding 'coordinator' to help us with the planning but to be honest, she wasn't great. Carla offered suggestions and per positive and joyful demeanor was such a pleasure to work with. The food.... This was to die for. Chef Eric is truly talented and the passion for what he does is reflected in his cooking. They came into the house, worked in the smaller kitchen, and kept bringing out food that was delicious. It has been over 6 months since our wedding and our guests still talk about how wonderful the food was. My mother in law, the one that rented the house, also still talks about how they came in, cooked, cleaned up and left and you never would have known someone was working in the kitchen. We had appetizers, salads, finger foods, small main dishes and a cupcake tower all by Chef Eric. Chef Eric and Carla are locals and community helpers. There was plenty of food left over from our reception and instead of throwing it away, they donated the food to a local charity which I was very touched by. If there is any question as to whether to book them, do it. You will be just as amazed as my husband and I were.

Foodland is a Hawaiian original, founded in Honolulu on 1948 as Hawaii's first modern supermarket, and continues to be owned by the founder's family. It has 31 locations across the islands, but only one is still open in Kauai (the Lihue location closed during Covid). It's kinda hidden, so would need to explicitly look for it. It's a medium size supermarket. The poke station and hot deli are located together with the same associates manning both. It was busy and crowded around that area, so important to pull a number and wait. Once my number was called, got seven different items and the associate was patient. My wife doesn't like poke, so made herself a hot lunchbox for a good price (one Korean chicken drumstick at $2.50 each; cheddar cheese tots $2.79 for 0.31 lbs; one corn cob $1.29) while I made a deconstructed poke bowl ($3.38 for 2 scoops of white rice; chili garlic crunch ahi $4.80 for 0.30 lbs; Poke fresh ahi hawaiian style $11.56 for 0.34 lbs; california style ahi $4.80 for 0.30 lbs). My favorite was the California style, with the avocado. It reminds me of the taste of a California roll.
