Pure açaí goodness!! They use locally sourced açaí as well as açaí sourced from California. It was one of the best acai bowls on the island and definitely worth a try! We got the Monkey Business except without the powder cream (whey protein) and milk chocolate chips since I'm lactose intolerant. The fruit toppings were very fresh and flavorful, and they did not skimp on the peanut butter. The guy working (owner?) was also super friendly and informative. It is located in a small lot with other food trucks, like Shakalafel which is also worth a visit. There was plenty of patio seating available outside. Street parking may be limited and hard to find. This is the only acai bowl I tried in Kauai! Keiki size is $8. Regular size is $16. My mom and I each got a regular size and it was super filling. It felt like a full meal honestly. We probably could've split one. I ordered da westsider and she ordered monkey business. The staff is super friendly and explained how their bowls are Brazilian style. When you get to the bottom of the bowl, there's also protein powder. I personally like a slightly sweeter acai base and I wish there were more fruit toppings. I also love to mix bases in my acai bowls but this place just has classic acai. Monkey business has a good amount of protein with the peanut butter and protein powder at the bottom. There are picnic benches to sit and eat outside. read more

Strolled up after a long walk. Owner was on the phone. HOWEVER, he quickly apologized, and got his employee to help me immediately. He didn't have to do that, I would have waited but I thought it was cool that he did. The girl who helped me helped me choose a bowl that wasn't too sweet since that's what I asked for. Man this might be the best bowl I've ever had. Not too sweet Acai puree, fresh fruit, protein powder on the bottom?!? This was a cool experience! Was getting açaí everyday and this was the pick of the day. Brazilian açaí was yummy and has mousse inside. This is one of the best acai bowls I have ever had! Incredibly unique and the owner is insanely friendly to the point where he even helped me with the bus stop locations. He took the time to explain to me the difference between their Brazilian acai and traditional acai that I normally see, which comes from different preparation methods and the acai isn't sweetened. I tried their Sunkissed Lilikoi and it was delicious! The fruit was fresh and there was a perfect amount of all the flavors together, with nothing being overly sweet even with the honey. I loved the bit of cream powder they add to the bottom of the bowl as well. The owner told me it's to give a little something to the bottom of the bowl since most of the ingredients are on top and it did just that! I'm sad that I only tried this on my last day because I definitely would've come back for more! read more

This was SO good -- I had to come back the next day for it before I left for home. Renato is such a sweet guy which made the experience, lovely. You can tell they put heart into their product. Full transparency... I can't remember the last time I've had an açaí bowl, but this was very unique & I loved the creamy topping, with the branded cookie on top!
