It was super refreshing, flavorful, and perfect for the island vibes. They offer two sizes, and I went with the smaller one, which was honestly perfect. It comes in the cutest reusable glass bottle, and they let you return it (washed) for store credit -- such a great eco-friendly touch! But honestly, it's also such a cute souvenir that you might want to keep it. The shop itself also carries a variety of other items, so I'll definitely be coming back to explore more during our trip. The location is great too -- there's plenty of street parking and a nearby parking lot, and it's surrounded by other cute shops and foodie spots, making it a great place to walk around and explore. Overall, such a refreshing and aesthetic spot -- highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

He mentioned there's no sweetness to it, so definitely get this one if you're looking for something more of a healthy greens juice choice. Amazing combination of flavors, huge portion. Highly recommend for any coffee/chocolate/cinnamon fan; tasted kinda like an iced mocha with a hint of banana! Very balanced and not at all too sweet Wife got a coconut to drink - super refreshing. They cut up the coconut to eat the flesh after she finished! What a gem, will definitely return the next time I'm in Hawaii. Only regret is not trying more things.

The peanut butter and coconut chunks definitely added heft. I loved the texture of the coconut chunks that added a chunky bite, whereas the granola added a light crisp. The textures were really fun to eat. The açai base wasn't overly sweet - Cons: aside from banana, any other fruit is additional $2.50, which is pretty pricey. In total, my bowl came to $20. It was unfortunate that the soursop wasn't fruit chunks, but instead a puree In addition to the standard menu, today they had a special bowl with assorted fruit on top, yum. It took a few minutes to put our order in. The owner had friends visiting her when no customers were waiting to order or for their order, which seems like the norm in Hawaii, nice and laid back. One of her friends accidentally knocked over a pole sign, which hit the car parked next to her establishment. Overall, it was nice to try this place out but I don't think I'd go back again. I can't remember exactly which poke varieties we got, but I believe one was their shoyu poke and the other was a spicy ahi. Regardless, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. This is exactly the kind of mom-and-pop spot I love finding while traveling. No frills, just friendly people serving great food at reasonable prices. The poke was fresh, the karaage was flavorful, and the lau lau was tender and comforting. The staff was welcoming, the portions were generous, and the prices were fair, especially considering the quality of the food. There are plenty of places to eat on Kauai, but spots like this are what make a trip memorable. We'll definitely be back the next time we're on the island.

They also have cute merchandise available & even an OG classic shave ice maker on display. I will say this is my first time coming to a shave ice place & not being able to customize my order & choose specific flavors, but I guess that helps ensure the combinations they do offer on their unique menu are optimal. But it both hasn't kept up with some of the more creative offerings at other shave ice places, and the quality was lower on our most recent trip (June 2026). Here are the rankings of the shave ice places from our last trip: Kauai Shave Ice Rankings 2026 1. (Tied) North Shore Bowls in Kilauea - very enjoyable and creative pre-designed flavor combos, nice fluffy ice, good ice cream, flavorful syrups 1. (Tied) Wailua Shave Ice - very enjoyable and creative pre-designed flavor combos, delicious toppings, very good ice texture and ice cream; too light on the syrup for one of our two trips 3. Wishing Well in Hanalei - good fluffy ice and really flavorful natural syrups; downside is it's very crowded (always!) and pretty basic 4. JoJo's in Hanalei - this is a standard shave ice place; ice was a bit compact and icy, but the syrup was plentiful (maybe too much, if you can believe that, for our one visit) and the ice cream was both generous and good 5. Hee Fat in Kapaa - great flavors but the syrup was light coverage, and the ice cream seemed gummy/freezer burned, ice was decent texture; used to be our favorite in Kauai in years past, but it hasn't kept up with other places and maybe the quality has gone down hill 6. Honu Shave Ice in Kapaa - syrup was very light, almost nonexistent on one of our shave ices, ice was clumpy/chunky, ice cream was really minimal, flavors were decent
