A bus turned in to coffee shop. The gals here were very nice and helpful. One of them realized that I didn't like my coffee and asked if I needed it to be sweeter without me saying anything. The coffee price is a little steep, but I thought it was pretty good. I got my iced and didn't taste any sourness to it. I've noticed at other places, when you get an iced coffee, there's a hint of sourness. Parking here was not an issue as it's shared with other establishments. I'm not sure of the time we went, but I did noticed Kauai not being busy at all. Compare to the last 2 times I've been here, this 3rd time, it hasn't been busy. Which I enjoyed. read more

Cute food truck that serves coffee, tea, and bagels. I ordered an iced matcha ($8). The menu says it's ceremonial grade. It was unsweetened, which isn't bad but I did wish I ordered it with a little syrup. There's a few chairs outside to sit and wait. A small line formed to wait for your order, so I do think this is a popular spot! read more

This was the second coffee shop we visited while in Kauai and ended up being so close to where we were staying. A converted bus now serving up some great coffee. It was the first place I had a macadamia nut latte and was delicious. You could tell it was a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, but the staff was quick to take orders. My drink took maybe five minutes to come out and the iced macadamia nut latte had the perfect amount of sweetness. I was worried it might be too sweet, but it was just the right amount. We ended up coming here a few times throughout our trip! read more

Cutest coffee truck ever! They are right in a parking lot so very easy parking available. I got their matcha latte with soy milk, and it was so good! I usually make my own matcha these days but I was very happy with theirs. Strong matcha taste, no bitterness! Super smooth to drink Will definitely stop by again when I'm in town. read more

I was afraid to leave a review because I've seen previous customers berated when leaving honey feedback and accused to not being paying customers. However, it is important to leave an honest review. Expensive (almost $7 for a cortado which averages around $4), slow, and now good. Avoid at all costs. Go to nanea or trilogy. Or just have the coffee at holey grail next door instead. read more

My favorite latte I had on the island during my stay. I got an iced latte with the housemade macadamia nut milk and it was delicious with the subtle hints of mac nut. Service is positive and drinks are made to order so may take some time if there is a line but I loved the outdoor patio seating. Taking off a star due to the prices not being listed as you end up paying over $8 for a latte. Definitely worth a try to treat yourself to a quality drink from Mokihana. *UPDATE* Okay wow came back and discovered it's 3.25 for the additional Mac nut milk. Seriously insane soo proceed with caution. read more

Such a cute coffee/breakfast place on the island of Kauai. Had a little higher expectations although. Menu is very limited but right to the point. Coffee items, teas, breakfast sandwiches, bagels & limited pastries. Price points are a little high for the quality. Ordered two breakfast sandwiches, iced tea, & a matcha for almost $50. Definitely better places on the island to spend that amount on breakfast. The breakfast sandwich was good, just a bit messy. Matcha was okay, a bit watery. Definitely more of a traditional matcha flavor vs sweet which I enjoyed. Service was friendly and very short wait times. We were told about this place by one of the workers, Jake, while on a sunset dinner cruise. The vibe and aesthetic is so cute and feels very authentic. I got the shaken espresso, which was absolutely delicious! Probably the best espresso I had on my time on Kauai. The Sunrise Sammy bagel sandwich was a great choice for breakfast. Met a couple on our Capt Andy's cruise who work here, Jake and Cheyenne, who spoke super highly of the espresso at Mokihana. I love lighter roasts and was excited to try out a new spot, so my friend and I made sure to stop by. I got an iced Holy Cacao latte - SO good!! The cacao blend was rich and satisfying, and not super sweet at all which I prefer. I also got the garden isle bagel. Hummus and pesto on a bagel?? GAME CHANGER. So delicious!!! The parking can be a little limited sometimes, but their service is really quick. They also have cute merchandise in store.

After placing our order, the order came out pretty quickly considering the place was packed. I got the Lava Flow (pineapple juice, coconut milk, haupia foam, strawberry puree) - also added li hing mui powder IYKYK. The flavor was light, fresh & not overly sweet. The texture of the shave ice wasn't the softest shave ice I've ever had but not a big deal. It was still the best thing for such a hot day in Kauai & hit the spot! They also have cute merchandise available & even an OG classic shave ice maker on display. I will say this is my first time coming to a shave ice place & not being able to customize my order & choose specific flavors, but I guess that helps ensure the combinations they do offer on their unique menu are optimal. Overall, I will definitely be back especially since the staff was so friendly!

We ordered the Ube and regretted not getting it with ice cream or "snow capped." But the flavor was still good! With that being said, the operations hit a few snags. The staff is really young and not super efficient. They were chatting quite a bit and I could tell it was slowing the process down. Seating is also limited during peak hours, so prepare to take it outside if necessary. For the experience, it's worth it. For the price and the wait? I'd probably skip next time.

Wishing Well in Hanalei - good fluffy ice and really flavorful natural syrups; downside is it's very crowded (always!) and pretty basic 4. JoJo's in Hanalei - this is a standard shave ice place; ice was a bit compact and icy, but the syrup was plentiful (maybe too much, if you can believe that, for our one visit) and the ice cream was both generous and good 5. Hee Fat in Kapaa - great flavors but the syrup was light coverage, and the ice cream seemed gummy/freezer burned, ice was decent texture; used to be our favorite in Kauai in years past, but it hasn't kept up with other places and maybe the quality has gone down hill 6. It just didn't feel as balanced or as fresh as the bowl we had before. I still think it's worth checking out because the people working here are genuinely wonderful. Now, once I got to the front, the servers were really friendly and kind, and the food was great. But time your visit so you don't spend 45 minutes waiting around.

The fried Spam musubi was so good that I'm not sure I can eat musubi any other way now. I also thought the truffle tater tots were an odd choice to offer at first, but they ended up being some of the best tots I've ever had, and the portion was generous. The spicy mayo poke was fresh and flavorful, making the whole plate a pretty solid value. This is one spot I'll definitely be coming back to every time I come back.
