Why write a review when the coffee shop is so good and already has 4.9 stars? Well... because I want to make sure I remember to come back here next time I visit! All the cold-foam matchas are excellent. The avocado toast is excellent! The people are very nice and quick. The coffee's are really good too. The only negative I can give this place is that since it is popular, lots of people know about it and it can get busy... but still TOTALLY WORTH IT! Sucks that we only discovered this place on our last day, would have come daily had we known. This was my second favorite coffee shop on the island! The roast is smooth and not overly acidic. The syrups are perfectly sweet and not overpowering. The toast selections alone are 5 Star! We enjoyed: -Hawaiian Vanilla Latte - half sweet was the perfect balance -Americano with steamed cream - Kauai Latte-- Maybe I don't know what I'm looking for in a Mac nut syrup but I didn't notice any unique flavors...but it was still delish. But let's talk about the TOAST! They all looked SO GOOD. I narrowed it down to two: the avocado toast deluxe or the eggy toast. The eggy toast is more like an egg salad. Even though I think any time of day is a good time for egg salad, I went with the deluxe because microgreens and pickled red onions have a hold on me. While I've had variations of this toast at home and in my hometown, I've never tried it with chili. My lips were burning a bit, so if you are a sissy with heat, you might want to opt for no or reduced sauce. I left with no regrets...except that I should have come sooner than our last day on Kauai...and I should have grabbed an eggy toast to go! read more

My son frequents this place regularly on his trips to Lihue and refuses to do breakfast anywhere else. The line was short when we stopped by! We did have to wait outside for a bit since the inside is small but the line moved super fast. I love that the menu isn't too overwhelming with options but that each option is so good that it's hard to pick just one. There's food items on the menu but also a fridge to the right when you walk in with premade sweets like mango pudding (it was so good. Pictured below. The perfect amount of sweetness) I ended up getting two coffees since I didn't know if I'd be in town to try more options any time soon. I didn't regret it. Both coffees were amazing. The Hawaiian vanilla latte tasted like coffee with a perfect hint of sweetness. For me though.... I'm a sweets girl. It can ALWAYS be sweeter... which is where the matcha came in. It was perfect!!! The sweetness, the lavender flavor, and the cold foam here? WOW. Lavender can sometimes be so over powering in drinks but they hit it right on the nail. We easily found a table outside and waited for them to call us over the loud speaker to collect our drinks. Overall beautiful location, great food and drinks, very kind staff. 10/10 if I'm ever in town again I will definitely make my way back down to Kind Koffee! read more

Had to grab some coffee here before leaving this morning. Staff are welcoming and friendly. I ordered the Aloha latte (coconut and macnut syrup, two shots of espresso and milk) BOMB. This is probably the best coffee I've had on the island. From all the ones I've tasted here this is the one that has that coffee punch where others taste watered down. I also ordered the Avocado toast deluxe-DELICIOUS (avocado and egg smashed with lime, garlic salt, pepper topped with pickle onions, sprouts, goat cheese, and crunchy chili oil drizzled on top of a sourdough)! Freaking awesome. All the flavors went together so well. Prices are good too. Always have a great experience at Kind Coffee! Parking is easy to find nearby, and in close walking distance. The different toast options they have as well as matcha options are delicious. I loved the Ube Matcha with coconut milk. The ambiance is more of a quick in and out place, with most of the time the mornings being quite busy but they are fully staffed and get you your coffee quickly for how busy it is. The girls working there are super sweet and nice to chat with. It makes a difference when you are swinging by for a quick coffee. read more

A cute, tiny little coffee shop with no indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor seating. It was located down the street from where we were staying, so we stopped by after a morning run by the coast. They have a pretty small selection, but they've got all the basics. I grabbed a strawberry matcha which was more strawberry than matcha, but still good and refreshing! I was tempted to grab some food for breakfast but decided to save my stomach, but all the photos of their food look so good! Overall, great spot to stop by for some quick coffee and snacks, and you can even walk over to enjoy everything by the water. Staff was friendly too. This was hands down THE BEST coffee shop we tried on the island! My (very picky) fiancé tried the Hawaiian Vanilla Latte and was hooked, we came back every day for it! I tried many of the matcha flavors and you can't go wrong! They were all delicious, I highly recommend the banana matcha, and the strawberry matcha was the best I've had. Came to Kauai for work and wanted to try the banana matcha and then get myself a coffee for work since I had an early start the next day. I got a Kauai latte. Service was great. They were kind and very efficient. Ordered and didn't wait long at all. It's a small shop inside, but there is seating outside. I liked the banana matcha. But I think it was the situation I was in where I asked for the Kauai latte to not have ice and I would put ice later. I just stuck it in the fridge. The coffee was my saving grace the next morning. I'm fortunate enough to visit Kauai many times a year, but this was my first time going to Kind Koffee and they DEFINITELY live up to their name. I ordered a Dirty Iced Latte and the Deluxe Avocado Toast. Both were delicious. However, right when I sat down with my latte, I completely spilled the whole thing over myself, the table, and all of my belongings; complete disaster. I went inside to get a towel and napkins to clean up my mess-after giving me a towel, the very Kind woman behind the counter offered to remake my drink. Popular, small coffee shop! We woke up early due to jetlag and were walking around the area and noticed people lining up even before they opened at 7AM. Not sure if they were tourists or locals but the coffee must have been good if there were this many people already. There aren't any indoor seats, just outdoor ones, but everyone had the same idea of ordering to-go. Despite the long line, the wait times were pretty short. I ordered the Kauai Latte which was flavored with a salted macadamia nut latte syrup. When I asked for light ice, they filled the extra space with more milk. I really liked this coffee because of how obvious the macadamia flavor was. It's not really sweet and maybe it's because of the additional milk but that nut flavor really shined through. They also have breakfast and dessert items too! If you're visiting for awhile, ask for the stamp card which makes your 10th drink free. read more

This was some of the best coffee I had on any of the islands I visited during my recent interisland Hawaii trip. The coffee shop is a hole in the wall with little space inside but ample outdoor seating. It's close to the cruise ship port for those of you looking for something other than your onboard Starbucks. They had a local roasted macadamia flavor I tried and it was absolutely delicious in my latte. The espresso is so delicious and smooth as well. I wish I had more time in Kauai to stop by again before we headed out. read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Was on vacation for 8 days and I came here almost everyday! Tried every speciality coffee, favorite was the aloha latte! Tried both avocado toasts, homemade jam with their toast and the eggy smash. All so delicious! I am sad to be leaving this place! Service was always great as well from the young girl at the register. Love this place! It's walkable from our hotel (Royal Sonesta) and the coffee is good and made with love. We also ordered the acai bowl both here and at the Banana bakery closeby. Our personal preference was the acas bowl here! It was So good and felt full of pleasant surprises. My sister also tried the ube matcha iced drink and loved it. I am a cappuccino girl and added a touch of homemade vanilla to it. The acai bowl was really good - great icy texture with fresh fruit, granola, honey, mac nuts, and peanut butter. One of the better acai bowls that I've had for sure! The dragonfruit lilikoi lemonade was also a refreshing caffeine-free drink. The perfect mix of floral, sweet, and sour. It's a small spot inside but has ample outdoor seating. Decided to try out a new coffee spot in Lihue! It's in the Anchor Cove shopping center right near the cruise port and the Royal Sonesta/Marriott, so easy to get to from both. It's a little walk in shop, with covered outdoor seating. The girl who took my order was super sweet and offered suggestions! I went with a large iced Dirty Latte for today's trip. I'm normally a hot coffee kind of girl, but I was warm, and the sweet worker suggested it iced. It was very good, I'll definitely be back to try something else soon! She said their Hawaiian Vanilla Latte was very popular and I saw a lot of people picking up matchas! I didn't try any food on this visit, but they have some toasts and açaí bowls!
