I spoke to a friendly salesperson(not sure if she was the owner?) about the recent storms, how the island has recovered and what was affected. It was nice to get a local's take on it versus the national news channels. The island is resilient and so are its residents. It was nice to see tourists even this time of year when it's much more rainy and cooler. This shop has a variety of spices on one side and different houseware, gifts, jewelry, candles and knick-knacks a tourist can find. You can also order online as they offer shipping to the mainland. The area has quaint shops and restaurants so it's easy to just cross the small street and pop into other specialty boutiques.
