Breakfast burritos here are the most affordable on this side of the island, they taste good as well. You can pick the meat; we chose Portuguese sausage (because you are in Hawaii). The salsa was solid; lots of egg in the burritos, it wasn't just filler potatoes. I got the mocha and it was delicious. My husband tried the cold brew and he didn't like it. I tried it as well and it was just okay. I loved that the mocha came in a mason jar and we returned it before we left. This is my second favorite coffee truck on the island. We had better luck with the coffee trucks than the coffee shops. Service was super friendly and helpful. read more

This place was so cute. Sadly, I only got to come here once. It's located in the same center as Tiki Tacos. I wanted to try them out after our lunch, but they weren't open. So we stopped by another morning. They offer walk up service or even drive thru. Both are clearly marked with signs in the parking lot. There's seating on the other side of the truck next to the street. I had really wanted to try their golden milk latte since I've sadly been off coffee for a while. I was talking to the gal taking my order about matcha and while they don't have it, she recommended a couple local places that did. She gave me a slight discount on my order for giving her a shaka! The golden milk latte was delicious. I ordered it with coconut milk. I should have asked for a little bit of honey to make it a little sweeter, but otherwise, it was perfect and a delicious start to my day! Definitely recommend trying this place out! read more

Amazing experience at Positive Coffee. Owner is very kind and service was very fast. Family got iced mochas and flat whites and everyone enjoyed their coffee. My iced mocha was not too sweet with natural cacao notes. There is shaded outdoor seating which is not difficult to get. Convenient location, located right off Kuhio Highway, perfect stop if going from one side of the island to another. I highly recommend this spot! read more

This coffee truck is amazingly great. My husband and I checked out their coffee. Husband had the regular drip coffee, black. I had the mocha. Both very good. The next day we made it a point to go back to try the da Jerry. It's a cold brew blend, served in a mason jar, with scoops of vanilla ice cream. Very delicious. Another pre-hike breakfast brought us here, and there are so many good vibes coming out of this truck it's hard not to smile. We had great coffee, a delicious breakfast burrito with chile salsa, and overnight oats with blueberries and banana. And, despite the fact that it's a food truck, they have a "drive thru" area that seemed to be popular with locals, as observed while we were waiting. Oh, and don't forget your Shaka discount. I have a late review for this sweet spot! I had such a great experience at this coffee spot about a year or so ago and was passing thru town and remembered the wonderful experience I had here. I was having a rough day and the sweetheart gal who works here was just such a ray of sunrise and immediately put a smile on my face. I appreciate the kindness and positive energy - so thank you to the sweet girl working here! This place has great energy and ambiance, thanks to the wonderful employee. I enjoyed the Golden Milk Latte (I believe with oak milk ?). There was no line at the drive thru and service was quick and kind. Next time I am in town in the morning I'll surely stop by! read more

Unbelievably friendly and passionate about their menu!! I got the Iced Mocha (they use local cacao!) sweetened with vanilla instead of agave. Best coffee I've ever had!!! We honestly understand that mistakes happen however my husband was literally standing at the front of the line when you walked out to set up the cones. We were at your business before you had even arrived. We actually came the day beforehand but you were not open according to your hours posted online. We were standing at the front of the line, right by the doors where the line starts before the other family even got out of their car. Had you acknowledged us and asked us to wait im sure we would have gladly waited however to be passed over in the manner was very upsetting. In example: If I pull into the parking lot to your business and others are standing in line does that mean that I get to cut in front of them if I have an excursion? We found a new local business. Touched down yesterday from Az. This was our first full day in Hawaii and we stopped here at Positive Coffee for a better cup of coffee than our resort could offer. MAN did we hit the lottery. Not only are the drinks absolutely delicious but the customer service left nothing to be desired. Don't tout yourself for being the only drive thru coffee and not tend to the people in the car. Waited over 15 minutes for the person to get everyone in the walk up line before still not even coming to our car window. People who got in line after we pulled up were asked for their order before we decided to drive away. Awful oblivious service. read more

This is our second time here and we ate all of our food before we had a chance to take a picture. I eat plant based; the vegan options from the Viva Vegan Wrap to the Nut butter sandwich were so delicious! And the prices are reasonable. My husband had the Portuguese sausage wrap and he says it is "comfort food to the max". Some of the best he's had. The coffee is amazingly smooth and well done. You just don't ever find all this in one place! It can be a bit of a wait but keep in mind it's an awesome couple running the truck and they stay true to their name "Positive Coffee". We ordered the passion fruit, coconut, and 1 plain/non filled. We ended up ordering another coconut and a chocolate one as it was fresh out of the back. We also ordered 2 coffees. Coffees were good, but we really came for the malasadas and they did not disappoint. The staff was lovely, helpful, made great recs and friendly. There are a couple of tables inside so we sat and enjoyed them while talking with a few locals about how wonderful the Bakeshop is. Highly recommend coming early & we will definitely be back on our next trip to Kauai!!

We did the mushroom, onion, and Swiss. Highly recommended if you are a mushroom lover. Definitely recommended if you are a croissant fan like me. There were so many other pastries we could buy, but our stomach was only so full. They do run out so I recommend coming here early.

But let's talk about the TOAST! They all looked SO GOOD. I narrowed it down to two: the avocado toast deluxe or the eggy toast. The eggy toast is more like an egg salad. Even though I think any time of day is a good time for egg salad, I went with the deluxe because microgreens and pickled red onions have a hold on me. While I've had variations of this toast at home and in my hometown, I've never tried it with chili. My lips were burning a bit, so if you are a sissy with heat, you might want to opt for no or reduced sauce. I left with no regrets...except that I should have come sooner than our last day on Kauai...and I should have grabbed an eggy toast to go!

We stopped by on a Tuesday around 8:30AM and got our pick of malasadas to try out! Kauai Bakery is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of ample parking, making it very easy to stop by and grab some delicious pastries. Service is like your typical bakery, you pick what you would like and they get it to you so you can stuff your face immediately after purchase. Ambiance is cozy with plenty of pastries to pick from in the large display case. We got 4 flavors of Malasadas for $16, which is $4 per doughnut, which I think is a decent price for the size and heft. The flavors we sampled were Lilikoi, Coconut, and Guava - out of these flavors, the coconut one was my personal favorite! The flavor was exactly what I would want anything coconut cream flavor should taste, creamy texture with a pleasant coconut taste that didn't taste artificial at all. It captured the floral background taste that is missing from a lot of coconut desserts that makes coconut so pleasing to eat! The Lilikoi one was my next favorite, it had a slight tartness and a more subtly pronounced flavor - I think I was looking for something stronger personally. Lastly was the guava one, which actually tasted a bit artificial and didn't have a pronounced flavor at all, which was unfortunate. Despite this critique, I would still glady inhale 2 or 3 of them because the dough was really pillowy and really enjoyable to eat. I think that the pastries here (at least the malasadas) are very solid and priced competitively vs most things here on Kauai. I would totally come back to get several more of the malasadas as well as try the other pastry options on the menu. Stop by and give this bakery a try if you are in the area!

We got there around 6:30am and there were many choices of pastries. We chose a few different flavored malasadas and coffee. The malasadas tasted good but I wasn't blown away. I wish they were served warm. Staff are very nice and friendly. Store super clean and cutely decorated.

The pudding was just a tiny bit greasy but the flavor was great and not overly sweet--I still ate the whole cup by myself in one quick sitting, yum! I would have loved more bananas in the pudding, but I did like how they were cut up into small pieces so the focus stayed on the pudding. Service was friendly and they had a whole tray of banana pudding ready to go. I got a banana matcha and a bagel sandwich while my friend got a banana bread and black coffee with coconut syrup. My portion was $21 for the matcha and the sandwich. I thought the matcha was decent! The banana flavor is a syrup and it reminds me of the banana candies. The matcha wasn't too milky. The bagel sandwich lacked flavor for me. I might just be too used to salt but I did find that the egg portion wasn't super flavorful. I did appreciate that the bagel was quite soft. Overall, it was alright! There is plenty of free parking in the area. The lines can get long even at 7 am on the week day.
