If you have not had their smoothie you are missing out!!! We had one every day of our trip.

Tried the Father's Day special--steak and eggs with a potato pancake and corn muffin. Although I requested medium, the steak was well done. I was informed that the steaks are pre-cooked, and what I received was considered medium. Friend ordered the Local Boy Platter; the hashbrowns were crunchy and tasty. Service was average, but the casual ambiance made for a comfortable meal. When I arrived around 7:08 AM, there was a line, though a separate line for takeout and coffee orders helped keep things organized.

My best friend recommended this for brunch!! We went out of our way to eat here and so glad we did!! Located in a mini-strip mall with ample of parking. There was a line but it was quick. Customers place their orders and find their own seating. Wait staff delivered your order. The Green Smoothie was so deliciously refreshing!! Wanted more. Could not taste the flavor of Macadamia in the coffee but it was still a good brew. Strong. Kalaheo had one of the best Moco Loco compared to the other Hawaiian Islands. Patty and gravy well seasoned. Best brown rice as not overcooked, tender, and fluffy. Kahili Breakfast was delicious with plenty of Portuguese sausage. Very tasty!! Would definitely recommend and go back if in Kauai again.

RIP OFF!! This place charged us $2.50 to split our meal, meaning cut in half and put on separate plates. That is absolutely insane! We didn't need that if it was going to be an extra charge. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until I was handed my receipt because THEY DON'T TELL YOU. The guy who took our order was rude and wouldn't reverse the charge. My guy and I split the Kahlua Pulled Port Sammich. It was bland and disappointing. Fries had some flavor, but they were dripping oil. They definitely cheated us on the amount of fries we got as well because looking at other people's plates, they got way more than we did. AVOID!!

Outstanding customer service from the moment we walked in to place our order at the cashier. Perfect coffee mocha served immediately! Best vegetarian eggs Benedict ever! Crispy fresh veggies with PERFECTLY POACHED eggs! Chef's kiss! Crispy hash browns were savory heaven adding perfect texture to every bite. Beautiful outdoor breezy seating! My friend ordered Pancake, said it was fluffy goodness, drizzled with perfectly delicious maple syrup!

Spectacular local place! The coffee was amazing, highly recommend the spiced chai. The food was so good and perfect portions for breakfast. The waitstaff was so friendly and did an amazing job of making us feel welcome! This is a must try place when in Kauai.

Oh my gosh one of our favorite places in Kauai ! The coffee is amazing but the food.... Oh my! We had danishes, eggs Benedict, pork & rice. The patio is adorable and the staff were SO friendly & welcoming. I bought a coffee mug so I have a reminder of our time there. 5 cafe!

Omg best food in Kauai! Awesome breakfast/ brunch spot. Food was amazing, service is fast, staff is friendly. The owner John was a super nice guy. You order at the counter then grab a seat and your food is delivered. All of our food and shakes were delicious! Great spot.

    Grilled Fresh Ahi special

A small gem worth going back to when we arrived too late on the first try, we enjoyed our lunch in the deck very much (despite traffic noise). I had the lunch special of Fresh Grilled Ahi on a buttered flatbread with melted shredded cheese, black bean corn salsa, chipotle aioli, lettuce and tomato. For my side I chose plain fries. With iced tea, it was a perfect lunch! You order inside, and the items are brought to your table. I found access quite easy with my Walker. And the restroom was spotless.

Kahili breakfast (I order with light onions) really good.

Tried the Kahili breakfast. Right amount of everything! Must get corn muffin with crispy hash-brown. Always get French toast. Share it and pace yourself. I can eat it all but need to avoid food coma.

Great counter service breakfast spot! We had some great breakfast sandwiches before a hike. The patio is lovely for sitting outside. Service was friendly and pretty quick. Coffee was great with a full espresso/coffee drink menu. Nice bathrooms for paying customers too!

Kahili breakfast with potatoes and griddled corn muffin!

A perfect place to fuel up on the way to Waimea Canyon!!! We thought we ate way too much but turns out the hike would take every bit of our energy. My husband had the Kahili breakfast and I ordered the loco moco, both paired with griddle corn muffins. If I were southern I'd be going "My word!" Both plates contained heaping portions of deliciousness. The corn muffin was halved and grilled, accentuating out the toasty corn flavor. His potatoes were topped with caramelized onions. My loco moco had the smoothest gravy; no soy sauce needed. Service was fast and friendly. Our empty plates were bused immediately. We also loved the relaxed family friendly ambiance. Many little kiddos (they provided booster seats). Unintrusive background music. We will be back!

Hi, heard it was closed for renovation again. If true, when will you reopen? Yelp shows you as open on Tuesday, however the voice message when calling states you are closed on Mon/Tuesday. Which is correct? Thank you!

My wife and I specifically came to the area to sample their beers and try their food, and found the beer to good/great while the food was OK. It opens at 11 on weekdays, and we arrived soon after, so found street parking easily. We were some of the first customers, and our choice of inside seating. The building is two stories, with the upstairs being used as an arcade (classic 80's pinball machines). The large bar is the center of the downstairs, and they sell shop memorabilia as well. Tried a 4 sampler flight (no discount for flight, just sum of the 5 oz beers chosen). Their most popular is the Lilikoi, which we had just tried at a restaurant a couple days before, so we skipped that. Instead we got: Chupa lager (Mexican cerveza which was refreshing), Wheat (which was my least favorite...kinda flat/limp with little flavor), Alaka'I Stout (my favorite, creamy and almost chocolatey), and a Sour with calamansi (which my wife liked the best, I thought it tasted like a shandy). As for food, we got two entrees. My wife got the Kalua Pork Sandwich ($22): pretty much all pulled pork sandwiches are called Kalua in Hawaii, no matter how it is made. That being said, this version was OK with the fries being very good (similar to Five Guys fries, fried in peanut oil maybe). I had my favorite: Loco Moco ($22) which was well prepared, and the white rice was good. But the beef patty was mediocre (tasted like a standard preformed food service patty from frozen...it wouldn't have stood out in a burger). The one egg was cooked well and I really liked the homemade gravy. There is a 3% credit card surcharge, and Toast is the payment processor.

We sat on the patio by the pool and luckily the umbrella was large enough to block the sun! The food all tasted great. The crab dip with 6 or 8 pieces of toasted focaccia was high quality with real crab not surimi. We ordered the flatbread with chicken instead of pork and it was also very good with a nice crispy crust and moist chicken chunks. The wedge salad was a large piece with crisp bacon, candied pecans, grape tomato halves and a tasty dressing. It only needed some red onion to make it perfect. The calamari were crispy but the portion size was too small and the pieces of calamari were too small so the ratio of crust to fish was too high.

We were told that the pupi portions were large and could easily be shared. This was true and we split the calamari and my husband found it to be too salty. We both had the fresh catch. He had ahi tuna and I had mancha which I was told was like halibut. It was thinner than halibut and reminded me of mahi-mahi. It was suggested to have it pan seared to make sure it was not overcooked. Well, it was a bit fry from being overcooked. I had a double portion of green vegetables which turned out to be 4 pieces of asparagus. My husband's ahi was served a bit more than seared and rare. His sides were 2 pieces of asparagus and a piece of carrot. In essence we each had a small piece of fish and a small portion of vegetables. This was a mediocre meal in a beautiful setting. They need to step up their game.

Inside the visitor center, there is a sampling table (choice of 4 coffee flavors), a gift shop, a small museum, and a cafe while the outside has a self-guided walking path. All are free to enter/use. Nothing in the retail store interested us, but we did share a coffee float ($5.99) made from two scoops of macadamia nut ice cream and Kauai cold brew. It took a bit of time for it to be made, but it was really, really good. Actually thought about getting another one while we walked the outside, but thought better of it. The outside walk takes about 25 minutes to complete, if stopping to read all signs (less than 10 signs) and actually admire each outdoor display. We came in late April, so the coffee plants still had their flower blooms which was a cool sight.
