Everything was just ok. Nothing special and typical Kauai expensive pricing. If you love coffee it's a pass. In drip they in offered light roast when we were there, if I wanted tea I'd order tea. Espresso was just ok. Fine in a pinch but honestly I'd rather got to Java Kai, coffee is roasted darker and tastes richer. Food was better.
Coffee in Hawaii just hits different. We were in Kauai for a week long vacation and I tried to hit as many local Coffee spots as possible. They were all great, but I think this was my favorite. I came here twice. I love a hazelnut latte, so I ordered their version which is called The Queen. It's a hazelnut latte with some coconut added. It was amazing. Hit the spot and got my day started right. I always order my coffee hot too. I know iced coffee is more popular, but my boomerish self has to have hot coffee. Service was pretty quick despite being busy. I'll definitely make sure to return here on my next trip to Kauai.
Was hoping to order maffles, but they were out. So we ordered the breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. The burrito was ok, probably would not order that again (and not the end of the world, but there were pieces of eggshells in our burritos), but we both thought breakfast sandwich was delicious! Definitely would recommend it. Coffee was fine. Not the best. Iced coffee tasted a little watered down, so wish it had more of a bitter stronger taste of coffee. Overall, friendly staff and service was great, so I rated a 4 stars.
We had the Almond Roca cold brew and iced Honey Maple latte. Friendliest service! Recommend going early in case they run out!
A small coffee shop located in Old Koloa Town, Ali'i Coffee is a great starting point to exploring the area. They have some great options for caffeine boosts and serve breakfast all day! I ordered an iced Anahola Honey, which is a latte sweetened with local honey. If you enjoy the taste of honey, you'll agree that this drink hits the spot. The honey flavor is not subtle at all and although it's sweet, I didn't think it was too much. Service was relatively fast but if there's a long line, feel free to take a break in the seating area to the right of the counter. There's also free water refill stations too!
Staff was super friendly. I got an iced mocha which was really good. also tasted their mango matcha which was not bad. Would definitely go again.
They have indoor seating, a covered patio and bistro seats out in the sun. All the seating options for all the weather or moods. The people making coffee are darlings. We all loved our drinks. I ordered an ube cappuccino that came out neither foamy nor purple but whatever it was it was delish. Great flavor to the coffee. My sister's iced mocha was great. The matcha was also a great flavor.
Service was good, the barista was by herself so she definitely hustled to keep the line moving. She was still very friendly and helpful despite how busy she was, which I appreciated a lot. What i also liked was that they had interesting signature beverages. I ordered the taro ube and really liked it. It wasn't too sweet, it was quite light and refreshing, actually, so I really enjoyed it. Would recommend and come back again!
Great spot with easy access and a few outdoor seating. We ordered the Iced Chai Tea Latte w/ oatmilk and the Iced Taro Ube w/ oatmilk. I came for the Taro Ube and was disappointed. I thought it would be sweet. It tasted like dirt actually haha. Don't mean to be rude. The Chai Tea Latte was good and would order that again. Maybe it was just made poorly. Delicious coffee, efficient and friendly service, and tasty food. Love the variety of latte flavors. The turkey avocado was nice and toasted with tasty veggies and mayo topping. There's outdoor seating and some that is covered as well.
If you're looking for a morning/lunch sweet treat; food and/or drinks, look no further. Ali'i Coffee is a small coffee shop with friendly staff, quite a few options on their menu and its approved by kids as well (mine and I've seen other families with kids trying out their sweet treats for breakfast). There are also a few savory breakfast/lunch quick eat options as well. Had to try their taro ube latte...super rich in color, flavor and sweetness made it feel like you were drinking a dessert. A couple of sips and it was done. I also ordered the Prince Latte (caramel & sea salt). This drink had more of a stronger coffee flavor which is what I was looking for. We shared the Maffles (mochi waffles) and the kids devoured it and left me one bite. As some of the others have mentioned, it is a bit expensive but it is the going rate for "signature" coffee's in the SF Bay Area. The counter to view the menu and place your order is covered and there's a small area inside if you wanted to sit down and eat/drink. Bonus; bring your water bottle and they have a filtered water station right outside to fill your bottle.

4/5 stars because of the steep price and the dry/overcooked egg in my breakfast sandwich. Otherwise I thought service was friendly and fast, and I also thought my "local breakfast" sandwich was pretty good..just not for $20.. It had small circular slices of Portuguese sausage in the sandwich, but I don't feel like they added enough for the price. The croissant was pretty good, just a little over toasted. They went heavy with the mayo, which I'm not mad at since the egg was dry. The sandwich came with some chips as well. Seating is available outside and inside. It's located in an awesome shopping plaza that has plenty of food and shops. There's a parking lot for this shopping center as well with plenty of parking. read more
Not the friendliest vibes here. Not sure if it was an off day for their employees, but def not welcoming. Even when you ask a question, the female employee taking the order just has a resting not so nice face and just looks at you as if you're an idiot or you're not speaking English. Maybe it's the younger generation's way of customer service nowadays, but certainly not the best feeling. The barista was fine, although very limited interaction. Ordered the Matchaloha iced with oat milk sub, and literally tastes like iced oat milk with some matcha. It was unsweetened, and they didn't even give an option. Maybe I should've known?? It was not good at all. Their cold brew didn't taste like cold brew. Def not a must go place or a return to place. read more

My experience at Ali'i Coffee in Koloa, HI, was really good. I tried the mango matcha, and I enjoyed the combination of the sweet mango flavor with the earthy taste of the matcha. It was refreshing, flavorful, and a nice drink to have while enjoying the atmosphere. read more

Great place to start your day. Walk past Old Koloa Town to the Koloa Village and you'll find Ali'i Coffee. Walk up and order at the window. Friendly staff, and food & drinks come out quick. Plenty of seating in an indoor air-conditioned room, or outdoor on the patio. Breakfast burrito tasted great, and was filling. It went great with a cup of their coffee. My only regret was not trying them earlier in my trip. I found them on my last day but I'll be back. Go check 'em! read more
The taro ube latte was 10/10. So much flavor and depth, slightly sweetened, would come back for more. Breakfast croissant sandwich was average, very hearty and filling with a side of chips. Very slow service but hey, it's island time. read more
Good for a quick breakfast or lunch. Reasonably priced. * Turkey Avocado (on Croissant) -- Loved this sandwich. Turkey was tasty with fresh fixings of avocado, lettuce, tomato. Croissant was nice, light and flaky. * Tuna Melt -- Not my favorite tuna melt, but an ok effort. Tuna salad was pretty ordinary. Could have used more melty cheese and a better grill or toast on the sandwich, but the sourdough itself was nice and fresh. Order at the counter. Service was friendly, and food delivery was pretty quick. Ample seating in an indoor air-conditioned room, or outdoor on the patio. read more
Convenient find in cute plaza with a nice work space area with lots of plugs. The menu offered local Hawaiian choices for coffees, teas as well as breakfast. I tried the Ube latte and Hawaiian breakfast sandwich. The Ube latte was my favorite and had enough coffee and Ube flavor ratios. I also needed a place to work while we waited for our kids to finish up an excursion and this was perfect. read more
I visited Ali'i Coffee Co. in Kauai and had a great experience! Their menu is packed with creative and delicious options. I tried the Taro Ube Latte and The Prince - both were fantastic! The cold brew on tap is also a must-try. The staff here are super friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even better. Despite some mixed reviews about the espresso, I found everything I tried to be delicious! Overall, Ali'i Coffee Co. is a gem for coffee lovers. Great drinks, inviting atmosphere, and awesome service. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in Kauai! And yes, prices are expensive and I see that mentioned a lot but remember, everything in Hawaii is imported or requires a lot of effort and labor to grow. My daily go to stop for coffee during our trip! Tried a few of their coffees, but my go to favorite is the Anohola Honey. Perfectly sweet with a tasting blend of coffee and honey. Was enough to satisfy my craving. You have the option of either ice or hot and 12 oz or 16 oz. Each time I go to order in the morning, there are about 1-2 people in front of me. I wait for coffee for about 2-3 minutes though. Seats are mostly taken outside if its a bright sunny day, otherwise, it can be free. There is also seating available inside, but I find people that take those seats are there to work/study. read more
So lucky to have come across this kiosk at the Koloa outdoor marketplace. Haven't had this since my days on Oahu so it was great to come across them on Kauai. As usual, both employees working this day were absolutely patient and gracious and helpful. We ordered the taro Ube lattes and they were absolutely amazing and delicious. While they could probably taste a little stronger with the taro and the ube they still did not disappoint. This is a must stop for coffee if you're in this particular marketplace and shopping. read more

The açaí bowl with drizzled peanut butter was to die for! Crunchy and smooth, cold and sweet, it was the perfect combination of flavors and textures. Paired with a cold brew coffee for a refreshing breakfast! read more

Stopped for coffee before the beach, and this was on the way! I am a sucker for ube so when I saw it on the menu, I just had to get it. They accidentally made the drink with real milk, but remade the drink with oatmilk! My boyfriend got the caramel one and it was super tasty too! They have plenty of seating if you want to hang out while sipping on your coffee! read more

Best waffles on the island by far. We had the egg sandwiches too which are great. Service was pleasurable and the ambiance was cute. It is nestled in the middle if the little shopping area, so you can shop while food gets prepared. read more
