OMG! So my best lettuce wrap experience is at Carthy Circle, DCA. Finally- something that compares to the Vietnamese Tacos. This is Ono. Oh Mai- as well - fresh. Mahalo for 50% off for locals today (due to hurricane). Mahalo!
Dinner here was pretty underwhelming considering the pricing. My husband ordered the blackened fettuccine alfredo and the chicken was slightly overcooked. The alfredo sauce was also not spectacular. I ordered the mahi mahi sandwich, and the fries were overcooked. The fish itself was okay, but the burger felt like it was lacking something. I did appreciate the service and their attention to allergies.
Nice spot at the Shops at Kukui'ula! Our server was sooo sweet and funny hahaha. I really enjoyed the kung pao lettuce wraps with crispy tofu - the sauce was sweet, salty, and flavorful and the tofu was well cooked :) The poke was also delicious and fresh. The prices were a bit steep, but the food was good. Would come back for lunch the next time I'm in the area.
Food was amazing. The lettuce wrap starter was so good and felt like a good sized amount. The fresh catch fish sandwich was also great. The mahi was cooked perfectly and the slaw on top was refreshing. The fries were good too. The poke bowl was excellent and would return for it again. The only thing that lacked here was service. A different waiter had to take our order because ours wouldn't come around and we were out of water for 90% of our meal. Wouldn't make us not come back!
This was a fantastic meal! We had reservations and were seated right away. It was a casual but cozy atmosphere and a great place for families. For drinks we had the Mai Thai and the pina colada, both of which were the best drinks we've had so far on the island! Their Mai Thai has a guava foam on top. Delish! For our entrees we got the macadamia crusted mahi (amazing). I subbed the rice for the garlic mashed potatoes and it was delish. The island poke bowls were beautifully presented and also delicious, as well as the dragon bowls. The whole family loved our meal here. We definitely want to go back again! The prices are steep but for what you get, it's worth it.
First time here and it was pretty good. Busy resort-area restaurant feel, so there are a lot of tourists. Eclectic American fare, ranging from salads and burgers to pasta and steak, plus sushi and Asian-inspired appetizers. They have an extensive drink and cocktail menu in which I did not partake, but it's there. I opted for the blackened chicken Alfredo (full size), which was pretty hearty. There are tons of fried bacon in here, which makes it a little more indulgent, so be warned if heavy cream and Parmesan is already a lot for you. The kung pao chicken lettuce wrap is the unheralded star here, in my opinion. Sushi is okay, but there are other places in the Poipu area who don't specialize in sushi that make better sushi. Server gave us forks to eat the sushi, which I thought was odd. Pretty good restaurant with a nice, busy feel and good staff. The overhead music can be a little loud at times, but the option of outdoor seating can lessen the clamor.
Drinks 5/5 The mai tai & non-alcoholic oh mai guava both had amazing guava foam Food 3.5/5 fine, not memorable. I had the dragon bowl and dynamite crunch roll. My husband liked his burger. Service 4/5 Overall, a nice dinner. I'd only come back for drinks.
Drink was really good and strong music was nice and my server was sweet she was really on top of it great place
We stopped by this place the first night we got to Kauai. Walked around the shopping center and saw there happy hour and there was room at the bar. And we are sure glad we there. I have to start with Seth the bartender. A class act and a genius behind the bar. Super nice... open to make anything... and made sure we were always taken care of. What a great guy and a true blessing to any customer who comes up to the bar area. Good variety of drinks available. And with Seth anything is possible. Food was good. Happy Hour menu has some good options. We got the gyoza and roll. Both were OUTSTANDING. Highly recommend. The ambiance is awesome. Great decor and lighting. Very welcoming. Plenty of staff around. This place was so awesome we visited two more times during our stay on the island. My wife loved the Poke. My only complaint is the pricing. Some of the items are pretty high. Two examples is we ordered the full size salad and I asked if they gave me the smaller salad because the portion size was not that much for the price. The other example is the quesadilla for $28. That seems quite ridiculous. But again, I will come back next time I am on the island. This place is great.
Love the happy hour and the staff at this establishment. The vibe is friendly and laid back and the staff is top notch. Came by to check up on us frequently and they do it with a smile. Could have asked for a better experience! The Mai Tai is very well made as well as the poke & chips. Stop by if you're in the Poipu area.
Not a bad option to grab dinner if you're staying on the south side of Kauai. But I think if you're getting poke it should be from a hole in the wall or foodland. Restaurant poke just doesn't compare. Everything else was solid, although a little pricey. Food: 4/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 4:5 Marcels foodie score: 4.1/5
The service was lackadaisical. Server looked and sounded like she didn't want to be there. What drew us in was the chicken wings advertised on the happy hour menu. After being seated, we were told they don't do chicken wings anymore. Then take it off your menu! How hard is that? Very disappointing. So we got one of everything on the happy hour menu. Sushi was great. Poke and chips was flavorless and the chips were stale. Pot stickers were decent and the fries with aoili was great. Ordered a cheeseburger ($29!) to split and it was actually pretty good - nice and juicy but not worth that price. I wouldn't go again.
A really solid stop for drinks and snacks with a decent happy hour. We popped in here around 4:30 on a weekday and were able to get seated right away, it definitely filled up by the time we left so a reservation might be wise if you're coming at a later time. We grabbed the famous mai tai with guava foam. The foam itself was really delicious although the mai tai itself was definitely on the sweet end. We ordered the dragon roll, poke, and potstickers from the happy hour menu. Service was super slow and we probably waited about 45 minutes for food, but once it arrived all the dishes were super tasty, the postickers were spicy the but favorite dish overall.
Scotty Browns in Poipu was a surprising highlight of our trip! The Spicy Jalapeño Margaritas really set the tone for the meal. It perfectly prepared! Every dish knocked the flavors out of the park - the dynamite crunch roll, blackened chicken cowboy salad, and the Hollywood burger are three must-orders. Special shoutout to the truffle fries and aioli. Those were impossible to stop eating! Incredible drinks, great vibes, great food. We loved everything about our meal and would definitely go back again! read more

A popular new restaurant in Poipu whose limited menu produces quality dishes. - Not a special event place, it's more like elevated casual. - Dragon Bowl was very good. - Chicken tenders plate ( Think Raising Cane's) was a hit. - Poke Bowl was excellent. - The Kung Pao Chicken Lettuce Wraps could be shared for up to five people. - The chicken sandwich was HUGE. - While the food was good the service was in the weeds the entire time. At times service was non-existent. Apparently the bar was a bottleneck. Hopefully this improves over time. - Menu may not work for picky families. - Ahi burger was a bust. WAY TOO wet and tasted like mom's tuna fish sandwiches. read more
We reserved a table ahead of time in hopes of getting a decent spot. We were seated right away, but had probably the worst table in the restaurant right by the entrance which was disappointing. We were seated next to a couple with a child who screamed off and on and we thought about leaving right away, however we decided to stay and give it a try. Service was fine, prices were very steep, and the food was just ok but a bit bland. The Tuna Tataki for $50 was disappointing for what you get which was coconut rice and a very simple salad. In all honesty for what you spend here I'd go somewhere else next time! read more

We decided to make a last-minute reservation here for dinner. We were seated right away and had great service our appetizer, the dynamite crunch roll, was good but fell apart while we were trying to consume it. It was very good though. For dinner, my husband had the spicy crispy sandwich, which was huge. He said it was very good, but almost too much to eat. I had the Caesar salad, which was good. The croutons on it were fabulous! I enjoyed a pineapple king to drink. It was nice and strong. Give them a try if you're in Poipu and want a new place to eat. read more

Pretty yummy spot! The coconut shrimp and dynamite crunch roll were delicious. The slaw for the coconut shrimp was super yummy too, as it didn't taste like cilantro and I hate cilantro. The lilikoi Collins cocktail did not taste like lilikoi, and the spritz did not taste a ton like POG. The "famous cowboy salad" was OK but nothing to rave about, as was the shrimp salad. The poke bowl was great. The bartenders were pretty attentive, though they could have filled waters a little more often. It was a bit loud inside until a few tables cleared out, but overall good ambiance. Would return. read more

We decided to have a quick dinner before our departure to Maui the next morning. This was the BEST supper we had during our 5 nights...!!! Other places claim they have the "best" mai tais... they do not! Scotty B makes the ABSOLUTE BEST mai tais. We enjoyed the guava foam on . Accessible location, classy ambiance, and groovy atmosphere. Service by Tevake and team was impeccable. Looking forward to visiting the next time! read more

WOW. This place surprised me big time. The food was amazing and I'm still dreaming about it. I had the #28 Dragon Bowl with crispy tofu (which they were able to accommodate all my food allergies while still making it taste delicious - a huge win!) and my friend loved her blackened chicken alfredo. Portion sizes were generous, the bartender customized my drink perfectly, and the manager even came by to chat. Service was A+ and the vibe was warm and welcoming. A new fave. You better believe I'll be telling everyone about this spot! read more
Great food and great service. We sat outside and enjoyed a terrific dinner. We started with the hand cut fries which were terrific and had a nice garlic aioli dipping sauce. I had a Paloma to drink (ok, two) and for my main I had the Super Crunch Salad (and added some blackened chicken), which was refreshing and awesome. This is a great salad covered with mango, avocado, nuts, wontons, and ginger dressing. After a long bike ride at the beach, this really hit the spot. Overall great experience. read more
We ate here 2 days ago and it was one of our best meals on the island! We didn't know what to order, but the waitress suggested the dumplings and poke bowl. I can't stop thinking about the dumplings! They were so tasty. The poke bowl was fabulous! Also the mai tai with guava foam was delicious! We are hoping to eat there again before we leave tomorrow, but sadly they're booked up. This new spot is a must eat at when on the island! read more

Stopped in SB's for lunch. I ordered the Dragon Bowl. A great bowl of different flavors and taste. Pic attached. Rice, vegetables, and you can add grilled chicken. Sat outside, a little rain, but still enjoyed our meal. read more

This restaurant's food is absolutely a 10/10!! I have celiac disease where I cannot have cross-contamination or eat gluten. Before booking our reservation, the manager said they could accommodate me and they curated a safe meal for me. I felt safe to eat here and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. With That being said, there were only a few things presented that they could accommodate me, and one I had asked about because I did not want a sandwich/burger. The drinks are amazing!! The mai tai with gauva cold foam is amazing! This place based on food is a 5/5 but i took a star off for the rudeness of the workers and feeling like my allergy/ chronic illness as a burden and like we were being difficult. It was a little off putting. I am not sure if we would come back or not, but the food and drinks are so good. read more

If you're torn and trying to decide between this spot, and the others nearby ---You need to eat here!!!! This was hands down my favorite eating spot all vacation. We loved the outside seating, and atmosphere. We ate here twice on our recent trip to Kauai. #1 staff was amazing!! #2 you'll want the key lime pie!!!! So many fun, and good choices! We loved the dumplings, French fries, Alfredo with blackened chicken and hands down the dragon bowl with chicken was our fav!! If you're an Aperol Spritz fan like me, don't skip the Kauai Spritz! Kauais version of it with POG. You won't be dissapointed. read more
First 3 star review incoming... Made a reservation for 7:30pm, arrived at 7:28 and was told our table wasn't ready since the restaurant was full and they couldn't give us a time. They said they would call us when a table opened up so we left and walked around. 10 minutes later, we got text saying our table was ready. First off, our server was great, making drink and food recommendations and trying to be timely on her service. No kids menu, lemonade wasn't available, along with the Maui Bikini Blonde Lager but we knew this restaurant is in its early stages so no big deal. Ended up having their pineapple mana wheat ale. Music/playlist was a "vibe" which I appreciated. I saw a lot of tables sitting around waiting for their food so I was a little worried... our food came out within 20 minutes of placing our order. Here's what we tried: Aloha Burger Ahi sandwich Blackened chicken Alfredo Classic chicken tenders Burger was solid, when asked how I wanted it cooked, I asked for Medium. It came out medium well/well done. Ahi sandwich I would pass on. You're paying for more bread than anything... even the slice of avocado was slightly bigger than the ahi. Chicken Alfredo was rich in flavors and the chicken remained moist. Chicken tenders were seasoned to give it a tiny bit of heat, which isn't bad but our order was a little over fried... batter didn't stay on the chicken with every bite. Fries on the hand, yum! Just needed a hit of more salt and they would've been perfect! Solid dining experience for any and all tourist who are visiting the island. Feels like an upbeat trendy spot that'll serve you that Mai tai you've been craving since you landed. For the price point though, take it for what it is. read more
