One of the best spots at the resort to relax, enjoy the views, sip great drinks, and listen to live music. We stopped by a few times during our trip for drinks and appetizers and it was always a great time. The cocktails are delicious, the wine list is solid, and food was tasty. I love that the live music changes nightly and that Fridays feature hula dancers, which is such a fun touch. We never had to wait too long for a seat, but I recommend arriving just before 5:00pm if you want a front-row view of the music. The sunset is phenomenal from both inside and the patio, with beautiful panoramic ocean views.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice and romantic- good for a light lunch or dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tapas are the main deal with food but tasty. Ate here twice once for lunch another for dinner. The ribs are tasty, mini tacos and sliders are great. Cocktails are tasty too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Can't remember everything we had but listening to live music and drinks outside, well- can't beat the atmosphere. Beautiful![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came for drinks and pupu's. Did not disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had a great table accompanied with some live music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Kelsi, our server, was awesome. Perfectly attentive and helpful with any menu questions and recs. All of the plates were good. Standouts were the poke bowl, hamachi sliders, oysters, and ono sashimi

    the delicious crème brûlée

I went here for dinner yesterday and it was slightly crowded. About a 5 minute wait for a table. I also got a burger, which was average in quality. The food did take a while to come though. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was seated outdoors and it was a little cold, but there were fire pits outside giving warmth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got the crème brûlée for dessert and it took a while to come, but it was amazing. It took around 1.5 hours at this place. The views made it better

Mid food but a view that can't be beat Food here is quite mediocre. Their chicken wings were way too saucy. The tempura paradise roll was a deep fried sushi roll basically. The hawaiian fresh fish was yummy, but nothing particularly special (especially for $50). [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, the view of the beach is phenomenal and the live music was excellent as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you are staying at the hotel, this is a fine option but no reason to go out of your way to come here

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, Seaview Terrace works really well if you're here for sunset drinks and a lineup of shareable bites rather than a super formal dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Between the view, the breeze, and the food being better than expected for a hotel terrace spot, it's a place worth hitting at least once while you're on property.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Check into the hotel in the evening and was looking to grab some dinner before bed. The other restaurants all required reservation and this place took walk-ins. They have live music/entertainment every night til about 9pm. We were seated outside and had good service. Server was friendly and checked in regularly. We ordered a Truffle Burger, Ahi Poke, Keiki Pasta with red sauce and 2 cocktails (Sea Dragon and an Old Fashioned). Food was good, no complaints. The drinks were below average, tasted more watered down and lacked flavor. Would return.

If you want a place to eat, drink and enjoy the fabulous ocean view, this is the place to be. It is great for couples who are seeking romance and suitable for family to enjoy good times together. Food in the hotel is consistently good, the same goes for Seaview Terrance. I ordered the Grand Hyatt Salad and added the shrimp. It was amazing. Seafood never goes wrong in Hawaii.

Fantastic place! We typically prefer non-hotel restaurants while on vacation, but this was restaurant was fabulous! We walked into the restaurant with no reservations and they were so accommodating. The view was beautiful and the live music was just setting up as we were seated. The musician turned out to be a wonderful young man playing the guitar and singing awesome songs. Very entertaining. The menu had a great selection for our family. We even had one family member who has dietary restrictions and the chef was very accommodating with his needs. Plus, his meal was delicious despite the limited items and spices he can eat. The rest of the party ordered the fish of the day (ono), truffle burger and mentaiko pasta. For cocktails, we ordered the skinny pina, cucumber elderflower collins, classic manhattan and lemonade. We were too full to order dessert but continued to enjoy the wonderful live music. There is plenty of parking, but if you prefer valet since the restaurant is part of the Grand Hyatt, it is available.

I'll be complaining to management about the horrible view ;)

A Five star review, for a TEN star View! Yes, this place has a view that NEVER gets old. Center stage in the Grand Hyatt's Kauai Resort, this is the place that you will want to have your coffee, light breakfast, or read your favorite book every morning that you wake up in Poipu. Check out my pictures below and tell me I'm wrong, Waiting..... See, I told you so. I mean if dictionary's had pictures next to each definition, I'm willing to bet that next to the word "Paradise", they are probably going to use the Seaview Terrace's picture in my review to show you what paradise actually looks like. Well if they don't, shame on them, cause this view is absolutely, positively, picture perfect! So, now that we've established that this place has a mediocre view... ;) Let's talk about the reason we really wake up early to get our front row seat... The most important meal of the Day... (Hint, it's not breakfast)... COFFEE!!!! Yes, those Folgers Coffee people had it right. (Sing it if you know it) "The best part of waking up"... IYKYK =) (comment if you know the ending) Funny thing is, if you know this catchy song from those commercials in the 90's, there is a high probability you don't know what this acronym means and are googling as we speak what 'IYKYK' stands for. Haha, just sayin. ;) Ok back to paradise... For those of you fortunate to come to Kauai, and lucky enough to be a guest of the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, consider yourself blessed to be able to enjoy the views Seaview Terrace offers each morning. My recommendation is the ham & cheese croissant, a hard boiled egg, a banana, and an iced island coconut latte to start your morning off right. Cause at the end of the day, you're on vacation... Live. It. Up. Bring a book, grab the newspaper, kick your feet up and enjoy the amazing view.

Drift is now our mandatory revisit when in Kauai. Star 1- clean. Every visible surface, glass, seat and table were clean Star 2- the food was spectacular. I had the Cali Reuben sandwich. It was fantastic. My wife had the Cobb Salad. It was perfect! Star 3- we are not typically "specialty drink" drinkers. The list was introduced to us by the owner who explained every drink was made with top shelf spirits, fresh juices and fruit, and was something they had found, enjoyed, and recreated to serve. Their love for balance and presentation shown through. We tried 4 of their creations and LOVED all of them. Star 4- Environment, the back area is relaxing, beautiful, is on island time. Very enjoyable. Don't rush, just enjoy. Star 5- Owners, kind, warm, and they care about the items brought to the table. Star 6- the whole package. Great value, this is now added as a top stop when in Kauai for us
