Beautiful scenery within the restaurant! Seated shortly after arrival but stuck with a waitress who also has a large party. It went downhill from there. Our cocktails were average, not very memorable. My Seafood risotto was probably the highlight with Lobster, shrimp, fish, and shiitake mushrooms but my daughter's teriyaki grilled chicken was dry. Wish I could have said something better about the experience.

Above all, this is a tourist spot with halfway decent food at prices that would scare you off if you weren't on vacation; paired with amazing service and some of the nicest servers. Inside screams "I'm on vacation on a tropical island" with the decor, the server uniforms, and the overall vibe. Nothing wrong with that. But definitely something to consider if you're looking for some food in the area. Food is decent. The Prime rib is cooked proper. The sides were just OK. The Maui onion soup was good, nothing spectacular. The pie was the best part of the meal for me. Overall, its going to be a hefty bill, and I wouldn't deter you from trying. But I wouldn't want to come back here the next time I'm in the area.

We enjoyed our dinner here! However, it was very pricey, so be prepared ahead of time. For a party of 4 or more you can expect to pay well over $200, with entrees costing around $50 a person give or take. That being said, the food was delicious. Our drinks were all very tasty too. My macadamia nut crusted fish was perfectly cooked and one of the best meals I've had so far. The owner was there that night and was very sweet. Our service was great as well. The ambiance is very fun--traditional Tiki Bar. We were happy and had a good time here. The only thing is the stiff price point l, which is the one draw back. For the price you pay, you would expect to pay that for more fine dining verses a family dinner out.

The butter for the rolls and muffins almost made it a 5. The rolls and muffins by themselves are a must have. As well as the onion soup! The lack of star was the price to portion ratio for most of the dinner. Fish duo, seven spice ahi and vegan ravioli were the main dishes. The first two were the ones lacking in portions compared to price. The last was lacking in flavor and suffered from very over cooked pasta. Probably an off night there but sauce needed more flavor too. Staff super friendly! Music vibes nice, ambiance also great. Pro tip, skip the looooong wait and try and sit at the bar for a full menu experience.

The food was 5 star. Everything we ate was literally amazing. The Calamari was cooked perfectly, seasoned just right and was so good. The bread was good, the taro rolls were a little crusty on the bottom like they'd be sitting out awhile, they tasted good though. The banana mac nut muffins were outstanding. So good. I had the Marlin which was Mac Nut Crusted with rice and a capers sauce. Omg - amazing. A perfect dish. Equal to or better than the best meal i've had on this trip. My wife had the 12oz prime rib, medium rare. Also done perfectly. I had a few bites, tasted just right, so good. Great execution. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5? The service wasn't up to TS Restaurant standards. Our server didn't come to our table for quite awhile. Another server finally got us water and apologized. We ordered our appetizers, it seemed like a long time before they came, as it was with our drinks. About the time our food came, our server got a big table. She seemed overwhelmed and we barely saw her again. We had to get a manager to run our check to pay. Btw- we did not get mad or throw a fit. We were just ready to leave and didn't want to dine and dash. Still a great night overall.

I give it 5 stars but I have to add the one thing I did not like at all. It was the seafood risotto. The half lobster tail was fine. The pieces of sword fish was very good. I did not like that it only came with two pieces of shrimp. I feel like it needed more. It just didn't have enough for the amount of risotto. Every else was extremely good. The coconut mojito is a MUST try! The service was good. I thought the bartender was specifically good. We sat at their tiki bar for 30 to 45 minutes until our seats were ready. The bartender was attentive and fun even though it was very busy. The ambiance was very nice but not formal. More like a cozy casual with a fun outdoor Hawaiian feel.

We came here for dinner, they had a live singer near the bar. Open air dining throughout the restaurant, which did make it a little bit chilly on a windy evening. The best part of the dinner was that the service was excellent . shout out to Ruby who was sweet and attentive. Otherwise we found the food largely mediocre. The kale salad was so depressingly small that at first I thought it was a split plate. Poke stack was pretty good, it came with an insufficient amount of chips (4), so thank you Ruby for bringing us more! The Maui Onion soup tasted like it came out of a can - just a flat salty flavor; my husband loves French onion soups, and this just wasn't flavorful at all . I did enjoy the Panko and nut crusted fish. Ruby had advised switching the fish that it generally comes with with their mahi-mahi, which was a good tip. The fish was tender with a perfect amount of light crusting . Comes with soft rice pilaf and nicely flavored roasted carrots. Always appreciate a Keiki menu - the kids enjoyed their chicken Enjoyed my red wine as well

The food quality and price you pay don't align. I had the Panko & Mac Nut Crusted fish with Macadamia nut & parmesan, herbed rice pilaf. The fish was only breaded in panko. Nothing special. A new macadamia nuts were on top as decoration. NOT MACADAMIA NUT CRUSTED AS LISTED. The rice could have been out of a microwave package for a hat it's worth. No nuts in there either as listed and nothing special. Fish was still good no matter the crust. I could tell it was good quality. My husband had the fish duo which was really good fish too. But same boring rice. No single veggie on the plate. So basically you pay 45$ for a fish and rice. Calamari were basic, nothing special. We also had the ahi appetizer. It was very sweet glazed. It was fine. If you like your ahi with sweet marinate you'll like it. Overall beautiful ambiance & love music. We had a reservation and got seated right away. Due to the food & price we would not come back though. You defiantly pay for it being a tourist spot. It's a really big restaurant, lots of people and louder atmosphere.

Keoki's paradise was absolutely terrific! The ambience is very lively and welcoming, and the open air dining is so unique with the amazing weather and nice humidity in Hawaii! The service was extremely pleasant and friendly as well and the food was outstanding! My personal favorite was the mocktails, because they were so cute and went really well with our meal. One flaw was the speed of which our food was delivered. We waited almost an hour and a half for our food, but I understand it was busy and we had a great time waiting! Will definitely be coming back and recommending!

DEC2025 Reservations were easy for dinner, parking was great since it was part of a shopping center area. Service was helpful with any questions we had. Unfortunately there was no live music for the night due to coinciding reservations for the space. Water refills infrequent since it was quite busy. Everything took a long while to come out. We had gotten a mai tai and guava daquiri for drinks. For food, my partner and I ordered the mushroom ravioli, maui onion soup, the mahi mahi keoki style, hoisin pork ribs, and guava chicken. The drinks were overly sweet, likely too much triple sec or mixer. The mushroom ravioli was decent but a overcooked and needed salt. The french onion soup just felt like it was missing something. The soup itself just seemed like broth and wasn't rich in the slightest. The cheese also wasn't melted either and bread an after thought. The hoisin pork ribs were decent flavorwise but chewy. Overall, a lot of things were inconsistently cooked between the both the chicken and the fish. Chicken ended up dry for different parts. The kimchi had a moderate kick to it and too spicy for some. Overall, pricey for what it is and there wasn't even ambiance to be had that night. There's certainly much better options available.

So so delicious. I had the seafood risotto and my husband had the Keoki's style baked fish. We shared a piece of the Hula pie. Incredible! Our server Sabrina was so friendly to us. Amazing atmosphere too! Definitely recommend this place.

Oh Keoki. You have my heart. Whenever we go visit Kauai, we make sure that we stop and eat here. This time we came for my daughter's bday celebration dinner. Our waitress was so kind, she was incredibly kind and warm. She didn't miss a beat and made sure she was there whenever we needed her. The food was delish, everything we had was top notch. I love the live music they have during the week, such great vibes, and sets the mood for any occasion. It's so spacious inside that you can come here for a romantic dinner and they strategically know where to place you, or here with family and we are with the crowd that's a little more vibrant. Something about Keoki's just keeps calling us back every time and for that I am grateful. And never ever leave without ordering the Hula pie

I wish I had gotten our server's name, but I remember she was from Florida. She was very lovely, attentive, and timely for all of our needs. I had the farmers omelet and my mom had the breakfast burrito. The eggs were perfectly fluffy in a way that I wish I could recreate. The potatoes were crispy and seasoned well. Our server recommended the hula pie and it did not disappoint. If I could have brought some home in my suitcase, I would have. The open seating area has phenomenal views and it's always great to have the chickens as table companions. I've also gotten takeout from here and had an easy experience. If there's ever a wait at Keoki's, it's definitely worth it.

Keoki's Paradise Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Keoki's Paradise

    Is there a keiki menu?

    Yes :-)

    Are RSVP required?

Yes, RSVP is required. Otherwise you’ll probably end up waiting for a table for a long time.

Do you have a happy hour? If so what days and hours?

Yes, specialty booze drinks and small plates offered mid-afternoon.

I'm in Seattle but my son is heading there in a week. Is there a way I can get him a gift certificate?

Yes! eGift cards are available at: https://tsrestaurants.securetree.com/Keoki-s-Paradise/Keoki-s-Paradise-eGift-Card/

Do you have to have a reservation?

No but you may be waiting a hour or two, so reservations are highly recomended, if you make them days in advance.

Can you hear the live music from the dining room or only from the Bamboo bar?

You can hear music throughout the restaurant

Is there still live music if it rains?

There may still be music because there are covered areas to accommodate the musicians even with rain.

Is happy hour only in the bar area?

When we were there in May we sat in the outdoor dining area and were able to have happy hour prices

I have a reservation for the dining room on a Monday at 6:30pm but I'd rather sit in the Bamboo Bar, I think. Does anyone know the average wait for the Bamboo Bar?

I think bar area is basically first come, first serve. I went there twice during happy hour (between 4-6ish) and was immediately seated in bamboo bar area.

Anyone try the twin lobster tail entre?

No but the ravioli was very good and the nachos (with pig) was very hefty. I'm sure the lobster is good.

The chicken had a nice flavor and was nice and hot when it was served. The food was good, but not worth waiting over an hour in my opinion. You can make your own judgments, depending on how much time you have. We stopped by Leong's in Coconut Marketplace on a Sunday, which may have had something to do with the service. Plus, Kauai is a very small island and I was not expecting big city service speeds. However, it did take over an hour for us to get our food. That seems long, even for a small restaurant on a small island. We got to the restaurant and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table; not an issue. Once we got seated, we got water and coffee very quickly; not an issue. But when a large table (that was seated since we got to the restaurant) got their food after we had been waiting for 30 minutes, we started to get a little worried. The whole restaurant experience lasted about an hour and a half, and only about 20 minutes of that was eating. There were only two human waitstaff (and one robot which seemed kind of cool but mostly like an inconvenience to the workers), so I can understand somewhat. We also may have felt more pressured because we had to be somewhere after lunch.

I had a double portion of green vegetables which turned out to be 4 pieces of asparagus. My husband's ahi was served a bit more than seared and rare. Black Cod has got to be one of the fattiest, tender, and delicious fish to ever swim the oceans. The sandwich was perfect. It was cracking on high notes, and was very, very annoying. I asked the server to please turn it down, and she did, and it still cracked. So management, get that fixed. Will most likely be back, as its the solo burger joint in the area, and it does NOT let you down!
