As a brewery fan, I knew I had to finally visit this spot having met the brewer Ben and tried their beer at various festivals. Thanks to a friend while visiting Kauai recently, he brought us here and we had the best time. The place is in Old Koloa Village, with a cozy open vibe, lots of windows, plus plenty of outdoor seating if you're visiting on a sunny day. The interior has a utilitarian feel, with a big bar, ordering area, and the brewhouse visible behind. They have a nice merch section to the right. Restrooms are shared with the complex outside. Ben showed us a fantastic time. We tried every beer on tap, and talked about each one as we went. He also was a fan of their smash burgers, and had us one of each made to try and share during our visit. It was great going down this guided tasting with a guy that's clearly proud of his work and beer. They have a bunch of different styles on a tap at any time, with light ones to very dark, and all the flavors you could want in between. The anniversary imperial stout was my favorite on this visit. They also have a limited food selection. We came here on a Friday night when they had a local band playing. Visited MAB twice on our recent visit to Kauai. Fun place to hang out and have a few beers. Taplist was decent, with multiple style options. (lagers, IPAs, Pale, wee heavy). Since my go to beer style is hazy IPAs, I ordered the Pineapple Xpress Hazy IPA (6% abv). Although it tasted like a hazy, look-wise, I wouldn't have considered this to be a hazy. But regardless, it was the best beer I had on the island. They offer 2 options; a sample or a pint. I do think they should offer a half pour or schooner option. (A little more than a tiny sampler glass). But all things considered, it's a fun spot. Great vibe. Lots of outdoor seating. Great location! Lots of shops nearby to walk to after a beer or 2! This is a reliable spot for a good meal. Since food options can be fairly limited around Kōloa, this was a good find (and we came back twice while staying in the area). The beer is good, there's a good selection. As any brewery, I wouldn't recommend the cocktails (from my experience ordering a margarita one time - wasn't my fav). That said, the food is actually pretty good. The shrimp tacos are great, fish tacos delicious (not a ton of fish on them but that seems consistent to everywhere). The taco salad was probably the overall favorite we had here, it's fresh and really good. The smash burger is average, probably wouldn't have that again but it's not bad either. This is a cute area and overall vibe - the nice thing too is they're open a bit later. The service is decently quick and overall good! Looking for a chill brewery to relax outside and grab some bites we found mucho aloha as a new spot to try. There was an extensive list of beer choices many with tropical inspiration. We dropped in on a Thursday which also had a margarita special for $13. We ordered fish tacos and the burger and grabbed a seat. The beer was solid but the margarita was one of the worst I have had in a while, an overly sour mix it didn't taste fresh at all. Our food came out pretty quickly. The fish tacos were very small and didn't have a lot of fish but had a tasty crema sauce. The burger was honestly really delicious with the sauce and spicy jalapeno topping, it was by far the highlight of the meal. Must try. Koloa town is a fun place to visit and has grown quite a bit just over the last few years. This brewhouse is located in a cool spot back from the road and has a lot of seating and a super chill vibe. You order at the bar and service is fast and friendly. The drinks and food are both great. The fish burrito was tasty and fresh. I have to spotlight the Mucholada. It is their version of a michelada and it's one of the best if not the best I've ever had. The michelada mix paired with the house blend of spices on the rim was 10/10. Add in the live music and it should be on your list when visiting the majestic south shore. There are 5 more places within a 2 minute walk you have to try, so make sure to visit Koloa town. There is plenty of parking so don't just pass through his town on your way down to poipu. read more

It was one of the only places that our son with a severe nut allergy could safely enjoy chicken tenders due to no cross contamination. The beer was super tasty and I really enjoyed their IPA on tap. We sat both inside and outside. Outside was comfortable at big picnic tables and perfect after our day of island exploring. The second trip we found ourselves at the only table available for the 4 of use which was inside, but it was as equally as comfortable. Service was extremely helpful and friendly. You order drinks and food at the counter. Drinks come out right away while food is brought out to the table. Water station is outside and help yourself. We really enjoyed our time there and made us feel like we were home (in Southern CA) but still in Kauai. We highly recommend. read more
