    Pork belly baos

Great happy hour 5:00-8:00. Pork belly bao's were delicious, as was the garlic soy edamame. Mandoo was ok-meh, was soft and soggy, don't order. Great tasting Mai tai's and a pretty good beer selection. Minus 1 star for the young guy server, who clearly didn't want to be there, low energy and no smiles!

This was the best "brewery" food I've EVER had. It wasn't just your normal brewery menu. It was a craft food menu made with love. Everything on this menu sounded amazing. We had a hard time deciding. Our lovely waitress helped us decide out of the things we wanted to try based on her faves. We got crab wings ( LIKE WHAT, never heard of these before), loco moco, & fish burger. My husband and I were making food noises the entire time and we had to order a second round of the crab wings. We also got beer/cider and it was delish. They had a bunch of open doors between inside and outside. We sat outside and it was lovely. highly recommend!

Located mauka side of the main road. Small parking lot. Various seating options available: indoor, outdoor, sofa and bar tops. Drinks are decent prices.

This place is amazing! It's right off the main highway and it has ample parking. Surrounded by tons of other eateries, this place stood out because it was so busy on a Monday! We were seated and served quickly. Our server was friendly and helpful. We conveniently ended up there at happy hour and the menu was great. The soft shell crab is incredible. I wish I had ordered more. It was so juicy and flavorful. We also got the pork belly bao which was good and a nice side salad to complement. Drink wise, they have plenty of options and a great happy hour selection. The coconut mule was delicious and not too sweet, and my husband enjoyed his beer. We were so happy with the experience. We would definitely come back before leaving.

Mahi Mahi fresh fish platter with pot stickers.

Staying across the street at Worldmark and had to come here for dinner this evening. Had the mahi mahi fish platter which was cooked perfectly with great seasonings. The fish was paired with a macaroni salad with a little wasabi kick and also a side of rice. A great choice. Wife enjoyed a beef slider and a side of pot stickers which were also very good. Overall great atmosphere and very friendly staff and a local band playing in the background.

Stopped in for lunch and was happy to find a restaurant with nice open air seating, along with outside tables. There's also a full bar inside. I'd give the food and drinks more like 3 1/2 stars, rather than 3. It was pretty good but not awesome. We arrived during happy hour and took advantage of the slightly reduced food and drink prices. I had the small order of Loco Moco, which was decent. The gravy had a nice flavor and it was done well. But, I also tried the Loco Moco fries and found that I liked those even more! They were like having Poutine fries, but Hawaiian style! Our server was friendly, he explained happy hour, and made beer recommendations when asked. I'd most likely stop here again to try more items if I was in the area.

Stopped off here on our way to Princeville shortly after getting off the plane and it did not disappoint! Lots of fresh air and breezes in a nice, open space, and the service was fast and friendly. Get the wings with Garlic Soy sauce! Belle of the ball, and everything else we tried was tasty as well.

We have been in the island for days looking for a place that offered a variety of draft beers. While bike riding on the 'Off The Beaten Path' bike trail we came across Taps and Hops Eatery. Was perfect since we were so thirsty from the bike ride. The place has an amazing selection of draft and bottled beer. 12oz and 16oz available. We ordered the Salted Cabbage appetizer and it is surprisingly delicious. Had a hamburger and Loco Moco. Food was good, not too small and not too big. At the end of our meal I was able to speak with the owner and thank him for providing draft beers. Very comfortable place and atmosphere.

They also had a live band playing, which created a fun atmosphere and it looked like a lot of people were really enjoying themselves. If you're just looking for a quiet place to sit and eat, though, it can get a bit loud, nothing against the live music, just something to keep in mind depending on what kind of dining experience you're looking for. The ahi nachos were a bit disappointing for us. The ahi itself was fresh and tasted great, but the "nachos" were actually more like fried wontons instead of traditional nacho chips, which felt a little odd and just wasn't really our thing. It would've helped if that was disclosed on the menu or if the server gave a quick heads up beforehand so expectations were clearer. On the positive side, the Tempura Ahi Bites were our favorite dish out of everything we ordered, definitely the standout item for us. The rib plate was also decent with satisfying portions overall.

My wife and I specifically came to the area to sample their beers and try their food, and found the beer to good/great while the food was OK. It opens at 11 on weekdays, and we arrived soon after, so found street parking easily. We were some of the first customers, and our choice of inside seating. The building is two stories, with the upstairs being used as an arcade (classic 80's pinball machines). The large bar is the center of the downstairs, and they sell shop memorabilia as well. Tried a 4 sampler flight (no discount for flight, just sum of the 5 oz beers chosen). Their most popular is the Lilikoi, which we had just tried at a restaurant a couple days before, so we skipped that. Instead we got: Chupa lager (Mexican cerveza which was refreshing), Wheat (which was my least favorite...kinda flat/limp with little flavor), Alaka'I Stout (my favorite, creamy and almost chocolatey), and a Sour with calamansi (which my wife liked the best, I thought it tasted like a shandy). As for food, we got two entrees. My wife got the Kalua Pork Sandwich ($22): pretty much all pulled pork sandwiches are called Kalua in Hawaii, no matter how it is made. That being said, this version was OK with the fries being very good (similar to Five Guys fries, fried in peanut oil maybe). I had my favorite: Loco Moco ($22) which was well prepared, and the white rice was good. But the beef patty was mediocre (tasted like a standard preformed food service patty from frozen...it wouldn't have stood out in a burger). The one egg was cooked well and I really liked the homemade gravy. There is a 3% credit card surcharge, and Toast is the payment processor.

We ate here our first night of the trip and had an amazing time. I wish I remembered our bartenders name but she was amazing and such a good vibe. We first went to monkeypod while in Maui, and I fell in love with their jalapeno mashed potatoes so I knew I had to get an order of that, and it was good as I remembered! Other things we ate that we enjoyed were the cast iron shrimp. Great flavor, the only problem is that it comes with like 4-5 shrimp, and they aren't large shrimp. Wish this dish came with more shrimp. The cheeseburger was good but not great. If you are craving a burger, this one definitely will satisfy that craving though. The catch of the day tacos were surprisingly good. The bulgogi tacos were solid but I'd opt for the fresh fish tacos instead. For dessert we tried their banana cream pie since it was popular. This one I didn't get the hype though, just an average piece of banana cream pie. For drinks, the mai tai is definitely the way to go. That lilikoi foam, so darn good! We definitely threw back a couple of these and enjoyed every sip. Overall, considering there aren't a ton of options in the area, this spot is great if you are looking to satisfy multiple different cravings. Our server informed us that it had been off and on for the past week, but went down since Friday. Not good for only being open for a year. They only had appetizers and salads, along with their bar, which offers a wide range of beers and wine by the glass, along with cocktails. Since we were technically "working", that had to wait for another time. Our server, Erin, was so nice and apologetic, even tho it wasn't her fault. For obvious reasons it was fairly slow, for a normal Sunday lunch crowd. Since we were pressed for time, we ended up just ordering a couple of appetizers; the sausage bites and chicken. They were both tempura style battered, and served with sauce or mustard on the side. The sausage had a slight spice to it, which was nice, and it was served piping hot pot of the fryer. A fork would've been nice, but they were small enough to eat by hand, but be careful, because they're pretty tough to bite thru. The chicken bites were smaller and easier to handle, although they were a bit dry, so the ranch furikake dipping sauce helped. We were out within 20 minutes, so very fast, and I'm hoping the griddle gets repaired soon, so I can try their burgers.
