Great Italian food! The pizza, the MB sandwich, and the Fish and Chips are wonderful!

Stopped by a couple times last month during our visit to Kauai since it was conveniently located next to the hotel we were at. Staff was friendly and we were able to watch the OKC vs. Denver game here. On separate occasions, we ordered the Greek Salad, Italian Chopped Salad, Lavaman Red Ale, Paradise Ube Cider, and Fried Calamari. The salads were pretty good and although the Fried Calamari wasn't as crunchy as I hoped it would be, the sriracha aioli was a nice touch. They have a wide variety of alcohol available and I was a big fan of the Paradise Ube Cider. I was a little bummed to hear this is only available in Hawaii but hopefully it'll make it's way to the mainland some day. BV's is a good choice if you're staying close by! read more

Very friendly and helpful server, he was great! Bartender was top notch as well. The boys came in for a bourbon and rum tasting, had lunch instead. They are right next door to Bobby V's, they must share the kitchen because the menu has plenty of Italian items from appetizers, salads, pasta, entrees, pizza's, sandwiches. The Italian chopped salad was delicious with a balsamic vinaigrette. We ordered a side of garlic cheese bread which came with a marinara dipping sauce. BLT's were tasty came with fresh fries. Pizzas are on point. Eggplant Parmesan looked tasty too! Great beer selection, amber ale was tasty. read more

The atmosphere... We have made this a regular stop each time we visit Kauai. The service truly embraces the Hawaiian spirit. Although we are visitors, we are embraced as locals. The drinks... The bourbon selection is exceptional! If you don't know what to order - try one of the flights. If you're not a bourbon aficionado, there are plenty of options to satisfy your cravings. My personal favorite - the "New Fashioned" which is sprinkled with amaretto bitters. read more

We tried to go to Bobby V's but they weren't open yet so they referred us here if we didn't want to wait. As soon as we walked in we were seated fairly quickly by a female waitress who was getting ready to leave for the day. My husband & I both had separately went to the rest room, and still sat there waiting to be talked to for at least 10 additional minutes before anyone even came to take our drink order. Then Isaiah our waiter came over to introduce himself, extremely checked out & clearly not wanting to be at work. We ordered an Ice Tea and quickly he told us they were out for the day So we both just ordered water and an appetizer of Spinach Dip. I then ordered Cheese Ravioli and Isaiah proceeded to laugh and say nope we are out of that too while looking everywhere else in the bar besides us while we are trying to order. Thank goodness they had pizza! Our water was never refilled. When it was time to leave. We paid the bill and our waiter was never to be seen again. My husband had to ask the Bartender if he had a bag for our to go containers and he directed us to go to the other side of the bar instead of providing customer Service. The bar was NOT busy at all and we were made to feel as if we were not wanted there! SAD!! We will NOT be going back! First Impressions are everything! read more

We now know how small the island restaurant industry is. This place is owned by the same negligent crew that owns Bobby V's pizza. On our way back to Princeville stopped in for a bourbon and noticed how disgusting the place was. Our sneakers were sticking to the floor as we walked in and you could smell the two day old booze in the air. Sat at the bar for five minutes, waiting to be acknowledged and saw the advertisements for their pizza place, and then it all made sense. This lack of service and cleanliness is definitely the owner's calling card. As we were realizing this, the other two people at the bar overheard and agreed told us they sent back their water glasses because they had lipstick on them. As much as I wanted a glass of bourbon, I said let's wait till we get back to our hotel and ran out of there. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday for drinks and pupus. Variety of seating situations, easily fit our group. Cozy indoor area with tables and bar seating. My party ordered a variety of alcoholic beverages to sample the menu, 50% of our Sri is tastes watered down. The pupus were decent. The bruschetta was strange, fresh tomatoes and onions with balsamic vinaigrette. read more

After a long flight we landed here. So happy we did. We enjoyed our meals and appreciated the happy hour discounts on drinks and appetizers. What made this visit special was the staff. The hostess and bartender were welcoming and friendly. Our waiter John had great drink and meal recommendations and gave these two weary travelers just the right amount of attention. Simply rude servers. There were 4 of us, stopped by while celebrating my brother's 50th birthday, and there was only one table that sat six. We sat at the table and we were asked to move outside in the heat. Just rude. There were no other patrons needing the table. (First come first serve, right?) I asked my family to leave but they gracefully stayed and spent lots of money. Not me, will not give them a dime of my money. read more

Great family run restaurant. The service, food and ambiance was amazing . Loved the Italian food and drinks .

We went there and no one helped us get to a table. We were waiting at the door to get seated for almost 15 minutes, but nobody cared. Even one of the customers noticed and notified them and still did not get helped. In the end we had no choice but to leave to place and never come back. We felt discriminated by the waiter read more

While exploring the island, we happened upon this shopping center and found BV's. The drinks were delicious and the service was unbeatable. We had the the La Donna Margarita and can't wait to come back for a tequila flight. read more

Friendly staff to start. Nice choices on the menu, you can order off of full menu or even the Italian joint next door (they own them both). I had a steak and it was very good. I wanted more, it was a bit small, but it worked. My wife's meal was fantastic too. Full bar so you can get about anything drink you want...except, and it must be a sin on the island...a DARK BEER! We've been here twice in the last two weeks! That's saying a lot since there are so many good choices nearby. The interior is very classy but casual enough for the island. Waitstaff is happy and helpful. read more

Comfortable establishment. Super loud and obnoxious group seated behind us so I appreciated the waiter recognizing that and offered to move us outside, which was far better. (Great waiter) Food was fair at best. Mahi, Italian shrimp, ravioli and salad. None were great. Literally everything was borderline average. We will be back to try the pizza, as that's what we saw locals eating. Otherwise, choose differently. Disappointed. read more

In Hawaii great Italian food is hard to find this was up there pretty good. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs. Said the meatballs were excellent and the sauce seemed to taste homemade I had fish and chips which is an Italian sorry but the quantities on both were large the fish I believe Was fresh and a ton of fries. Portions were larger than average service was fast, but our server was new and forgot a few things. My wife never did get any bread never been to an Italian restaurant having an Italian pasta dish where you didn't get bread and we did outside seating, which was OK read more

Well, it's our last meal on the island and we decided to try BV's ale house. The service started good. Fast at getting us our water and the calamari appetizer was quick, but that's where this place started to lose its luster. The calamari was reheated frozen. On to the fish and chips... Yeah, frozen and fried, not fresh. Both were barely warm so I'm thinking they were not even fried to order. Oh and when I asked for malt vinegar, I was given the oil and baslmic vinegar container. Not good. My advice is to go elsewhere, there are tons of better places on the island to spend the premium that food now costs on the island. read more

Ate here Oct 16, 2025...waiter was beyond rude...although he thought he was the coolest. Zero eye contact, mumbled, got the order wrong (we didn't dare return the food), literally tossed the to-go box at our table. Bill took a ridiculously long time to receive. Nice place. Good service. We go there a couple times a year and we've never had a bad experience.

We split an order of fish and chips. The fish was perfectly crisp on the outside and the fish was tender. The fries were some of the best I've had. Service was great, too. read more
