As we strolled into town to try another restaurant, we could smell, and visibly see the sheer amount of people waiting to be sat down, or get their order from the side window. This place was POPPIN'. I ordered online as I sat in the restaurant next door, knowing it could take some time. You can BYO pizza, but I went with custom pizza that spoke to me from the menu. The Garlicky White Devil. This pizza did not disappoint. Even after having a meal next door, I still ate 2 slices. It was light, thin, crispy, and the flavor smacked you upside the head. Why does arugula go so well with pizza? I Don't know, it just does. This is a must next time we come in. I feel like this hot spot is so popular because of the location and all the pizza lovers who want to change it up from the delish seafood options. We came for dinner and hospitality was above par, we were seated immediately, and food came out very fast. The kids were provided coloring pages to keep them busy while we waited. We love pineapple on our pizza so adding that was a nice touch, the dough was soft and chewy. Everything we ordered didn't disappoint and even though they do get busy with telephone orders coming through, walk-in's they do not make you feel rushed at all. I was walking around Koloa looking for a place to eat when the smell from Koloa Pizza pulled me in -- and I'm glad it did. The place has a relaxed, laid-back vibe that fits perfectly with the town. They have a rotating craft beer menu (and honestly, beer and pizza just belong together). Our upbeat, friendly server helped me pick one, and she definitely steered me in the right direction. We started with a Caesar salad and then shared the Southside Supreme Pizza. The salad was fresh, though a little heavy on the lemon juice for my taste. When the pizza arrived, I figured we'd be taking some home -- but that didn't happen. We finished the whole thing. The pizza was delicious. The crust was thin and light, perfect for two people to share. The sauce-to-topping ratio was spot on, and nothing slid off when you picked up a slice -- always a good sign. When our server came to clear the empty pan, I joked, "We didn't like that at all," and she laughed, "Do you want to try again?" I did find the place a little pricey but Kauai is touristy and prices tend to be higher than what I am accustomed to. As we left, I noticed people waiting for tables -- and it was easy to see why. This is a solid spot for thin-crust pizza--not the chewy Neapolitan style. The servings are generous; we ordered three pizzas for three adults and two kids, which was way too much food. Friday, 8/01/2025 - We decided to eat at KoLoa Pizza Kitchen & Bar. It's located in a little strip mall. Address is 5408 Koloa Rd, Koloa, HI 96756. We kept smelling this really good food/pizza smell and tried them. Parking is limited. Unless there's more somewhere else, I'm not sure. But we only saw a row of parking spaces in the front of the store. Then I saw people parked across the street in the dirt, off the street, too. Upon arrival... Pros 1) hostess will seat you. She was very nice. 2) there were seating inside, on the back patio, and I saw a bar. 3) there was a little corner where a man was playing music and singing. He's pretty good. Nice entertainment. 4) they provided water and water tasted great. No funky or odd taste to it. They did provide lemon when I asked for it. 5) our server was very nice. 6) table had a jar of pepper flakes and parmesan cheese, utensils, & napkins. Table was clean. 7) our pizza and bbq chicken wings were great! Tasted really good. Thin pizza crust with the perfect crispy crunch. Not overly breaded. Love it! 8) there is one bathroom for women and one for men. Women's bathroom was cutely decorated. 9) Cons 1) parking was hard to find. 2) our poor waitress was so busy. I can see her running around trying to service all her tables. But we ran out of water and she wasn't able to check on us. We had to ask someone else cleaning another table across from us for more water. She says ok, but never came back. So I saw our server and waved her down letting her know we needed water. After a while, she finally came and refilled our water. They may have been short staff. IDK. But I don't fault her. She looked very busy. We were thirsty for a while tho. ;) Conclusion We all loved this restaurant. Staffs were very nice. They have lots of tables to get seated at. They have a bar if you want to drink. They have indoor and back patio seating. There is singing entertainment. The man that was singing the day we went, sang well and played music well. Pizza and BBQ chicken wings were good. We went with our kids for dinner and got seated right away which was a nice surprise because it was busy! We got two specialty pizzas and split them so we could try different kinds. The BBQ one was delicious, as was their Margherita & Pepperoni. My favorite was their mushroom with the goat cheese and truffle oil though--delicious!! My daughter got a mocktail pina colada and that was a fun treat for her but it was pricey ($12). All in all though we loved it! It's on the expensive side but it was good pizza! read more

Surfing on the tele, woody open-rafter rooms, can accommodate large parties (call ahead) and take-out orders too. Can get a little loud and messy during peak mealtimes - that the only detracting factor. Especially good for happy hour, with discounted drink specials and often less crowded. Usually visit Koloa Pizza when we visit Kauai. This time it was disappointing. Notice the pizza, hardly any toppings in it. The server was amazing and gave us a little discount, but the bottom line is that the lack of toppings is concerning. The last time we had at least 3x the amount of toppings on it. It was pretty loud with a large party near us and they were pretty loud and we were not able to talk as the noice level was so high. The pizza was good, but not as good as the last time, could have been my frustration over the lack of toppings. As I mentioned we had a great server and she was attentive and very nice. The house made focaccia with sun-dried tomatoes and olives dipped into warm marinara sauce is always a winner too. Despite the fact that it's in a very touristy area, we still feel aloha service. Just order the garlicky white devil. I actually think this pizza might have changed my life. It certainly ranks in the top ten pizzas I've ever had. The garlic cloves are massive and the arugula on top is tossed in one of their speciality sauces. Every bite was a delight. We ordered three pizzas but this is the one my family finished the fastest and was fighting over eating. I'm not going to lie I didn't try the other two because I was too busy eating this one. We had a bbq pork and a pepperoni & pineapple pizza as well and I'm sure they were good too but this was the star. The location has expanded a bit in the last five years since we were here last - apparently it was bought by new owners. Had pleasant memories from coming here a couple years ago to grab pizzas but unfortunately our second experience was not the same. We ordered some takeout from here on a Saturday afternoon. The pizza hadn't been started when we arrived at the scheduled pick up time, but they got the order going in not too long. Too many reviewers here suffering from TBS (tourist-tastebud syndrome), as I call it. Where everything tastes amazing because you're in paradise, e.g cheeseburger in..., or in this case, pizza in. Read the next paragraph carefully... Avoid this place and instead pick up a couple pies at Costco or such in Lihue and keep it in the fridge of your condo or timeshare. Reheat as needed. We stopped at Koloa Pizza Kitchen and Bar after a long day in the sun with my family and it ended up being a great choice. I do not remember coming here before and it looks like it has been recently renovated because it felt fresh and updated inside. The staff was super welcoming and our server was awesome, always checking in on us, keeping waters filled, and making sure everything came out right. I ordered the Garlicky White Devil but asked if we could do it with red sauce instead of the white and they were able to accommodate easily. The pizza was excellent. The crust had the perfect crunch, the arugula, garlic, and caramelized onions worked so well together, and I liked that the onions still had a little bite to them instead of being overly soft. The house devil sauce added a nice kick without being overpowering and the red sauce itself was flavorful and balanced. I also ordered the Caesar salad which was classic and tasted great, good portion size too. We started with the focaccia bread strips and marinara which were awesome and kept my little niece happy. My parents got the barbecue pork pizza and my brother and sister in law had the margarita pizza. Everyone was happy with what they ordered and the portions were generous enough that we all had leftovers to enjoy the next day. The Greek salad was another win on the side. If I had to note one thing it would be the prices. The pizza and salads are a little more expensive than I expected, but being in Hawaii that is pretty normal and the portions and flavor make it worth it. Overall this was a really good dinner spot for us and it is definitely somewhere we will be coming back to on future trips to Kauai. I find myself going to KPK at least once a week. The staff are all so wonderful and welcoming. They have great pizza and salads; plus the bartenders definitely know how to whip up a cocktail you're sure to enjoy. My favorites are the chicken ceasar salad and hot honey pizza. I usually go by myself and find a seat at bar but I've taken my family when they visit and have never had to wait too long for a table. Plus the back lanai area is an adorable space for a somewhat outdoor dining area. Definitely recommend!! read more

I really enjoyed the wings but I am going to admit to being a hater of the pizza. The cheese texture was not what I'm familiar with and the crust reminded me of a frozen base you can add toppings to. It didn't sit well with our tummies. For over $30, I expected something crafted with a bit more quality. On the bright side, I enjoyed the salad. Going to Kauai we were never thinking let's look for some good pizza but when we stumbled onto Koloa Pizza when looking for a food truck across the street that was closed it became a happy change the of plans! It was about 5 on a Saturday night and we were seated right away on the deck under an amazing fan. Dustin came right over and got our drink order. He also told us all the pizzas are thin crust and one size (16") but you can half and half as long as the sauce is same (red or white). The Mai Tai was really good-5/5. Not too sweet and not too limey. The pizza was also great -5/5. The mushroom truffle with goat cheese gave me pause when we decided to do half and half bc it is usually too strong and gamey for my taste. But it was delicious with goat cheese that was creamy and mild and a perfect companion to the shrooms without overpowering. The garlic white devil was also good. Light and tasty with the arugula on top to get some greens. We ate the whole thing (sans some of the crusts)....and would do it again!! read more

Our waiter checked in on us a ton and refilled our water, drinks, etc. When we arrived, we were told it would be a 15 min wait - they took down our name and number so we could browse the shops nearby, which was so convenient. Food wise, we liked all three pizzas and both salads. I still think the crust isn't the best of crusts but the flavors of each pizza were great. Sorry.... It was such a disappointment. We've been here before, 10 years ago on our last trip and we made a point to come back for the Hawaiian slice that we were familiar with. Not only we couldn't get it by the slice to go, we waited nearly 30 min for a whole pie that was thin, cold, almost burnt on the edges. Tasted like it was made 3 days ago then tossed in the oven to warm it up. She looked at me cross when I asked for a "Hawaiian pizza"... so I settled for naming the toppings... ham was not one of them as they didn't have it. (What????) The pineapple seemed like it came out of a can, not sure if cheese was even on it.... the pepperoni was good. They were super busy, maybe dining in would have been better....
