I have had pizza in many places over the years, including some of New York best and I can honestly say this was one of the most memorable pizzas that I've eaten. The amazing part is that after the first few bites it almost stops feeling like "just pizza" and starts feeling like fine dining. Every ingredient is exceptional. You can actually taste each one individually, the mushrooms, sausage, peppers, onions and pepperoni. Nothing overpowers anything else. Instead, every bite is perfectly balanced, and each ingredient brings its own incredible flavor to the pizza. And then there's the crust. Absolutely phenomenal Crispy, light and flavorful. You can tell the person making this pizza truly cares about the quality. This isn't one of the best pizzas I've ever had. It's one of the best dining experiences. We've waited forever to get JP's; never seems like the right time. Finally got it and the wait was worth it. Pizza is my favorite food and this pizza did not disappoint. Friendly service and my order was ready when they said it would be. We got the garlic knots (maybe they are called this?) and I could have ate 39 more! Everything was so delicious! I almost hesitate to review this place because it is so good and I want to have it all to myself, but JP's Pizza deserves all the hype!! This pizza is in my top three ever of my entire life. It is a hole in the wall between Hanapepe and Waimea. Do not let the location fool you. This Pizza is out of this world!!! We went two times in a four day span, and it was our last meal on the island it was that good. They are open limited hours, so please check the Instagram for updated dates and times. The service we had from Chad was hospitality at its finest. He was very helpful with ordering and we enjoyed our conversation with him while we were waiting on our pizza. You can call in your Pizza. We ordered both times at the window and received our order in less than 15 minutes. We used the picnic benches outside to enjoy our meal. The white pizza is absolutely fantastic with the fresh basil, but the shining star is the crust. The crust on the pizza and the garlic knots is just phenomenal. The sauce that comes with the garlic knots you can tell is homemade and it is very flavorful. Seriously, I could not recommend this place enough. It is excellent, extraordinary, fabulous, any other adjective that you could think of that means wonderful. Give them a try if you're on Kauai. read more

Best Pizza I've had in a really long time. We ordered the supreme and it was hot and flavorful with a nice crispy crust. Service was excellent, providing us with waiting options as the pizza was being prepared. I want to go again before we head back home but I doubt I'll be able to. It's an unassuming place in a vet quiet, older storefront. But dang it i want more! Good thing I have a couple slices left i can reheat for breakfast. Hands down the best NY hand tossed pizza on island. Tastes just like an east coast pie (and it even passes the flop test). Best pizza I've had in a long time!! My family & I had just finished a Napali coast boat tour so we decided to stop by for some pizza. We have the classic pepperoni pizza & it was certainly delicious! The man taking our order was extremely kind. Pizza was made fresh to order & only took about 10-15 minutes for us to receive our food. Granted there were no parties in front of us. The pizza place is in a small shopping center (about 3 shops) with benches to sit (only outdoor seating) & a quiet atmosphere. 10/10! read more

My husband and I finished a pie in the rental... while still parked! I'm quite particular when it comes to trying out pizza. However, we came to this pizza place after seeing the outstanding reviews online. Had to drive a long distance from the hotel but 100% worth it. The white pie was truly remarkable. The owner of the restaurant greeting us at the window was super nice and told us the entire story behind the restaurant and the chef. This helped give us some background into how amazing the pizza is. The ambience was pretty much all outdoors. There are a few other mom and pop pizza places on the island. Most try too hard with too many toppings or their pizzas are plain gross. JP's Pizza is the right balance of ingredients and their pies are nothing but quality. My first time here I wanted to try the pepperoni and one of the fancier pies, but there was no way I was gonna buy two large pies for myself. Lo and behold, you can make half/half pizzas here! I got the pepperoni and white pizza. I asked for the pepperoni slightly crispy, which made it extra delicious. The mozzarella on the white pizza is much lighter and slightly saltier than regular mozzarella. All of this together with their wonderful pizza crust (which is more like a brioche) is epicurean goodness. Service is wonderful too! The owner and his family run the place, take good care of every customer and will honestly explain what each product is like. There's nowhere to dine in, but they have some tables and chairs on a makeshift patio. It rarely rains in Kaumakani, so pull up a chair under the west side Kauai sky and enjoy. read more
