Came to the Carabella's pizza food truck on Saturday evening when visiting Kaua'i. The town of Kapa'a does a farmers market type downtown festival on the first Saturday of every month with food trucks, live music, booths, etc., that fills the entire town. Such a blast! They do authentic wood fired pizza and it is absolutely delicious!! The local woman behind the counter that took our order was super friendly as well. We ordered the supreme and pepperoni and the pizza size had a perfectly thin crust (but not paper thin). Love, love, love this local spot!

Best pizza we had during our stay in Kauai. All of it was delicious. White pizza was the best !

$15 for a 10" pizza from a food truck? New York City? Try Kauai. Carabella's Pizza cames to Lawai Beach Resort every Tuesday. No crowd at 445pm as they had announced pizza at 5pm. Food truck, complete with a trailer holding a large wood fired oven. Wife ordered the $12 garden vegetable pizza, while I ordered the $13 meat lovers pizza. Their most expensive pizza is the $15 supreme. Waited 10 minutes with only two persons ahead of us. They prefer cash but will take credit cards with a 4% surcharge. Got the two pizzas, and just did manage to get it back to the 100 yards to the condo, playing hot potato, with feral cats waiting in the wings for any droppings. 10" meat lover's pizza covered every inch with pepperoni, homemade sausage, bacon, red sauce over cheese. The razor thin rust was blackened on the back in several places, almost burned, baked until it was crackly firm. Wife's garden vegetable pizza came with carmelized onions, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, spinach, olives, red sauce over cheese. Firm crust, smoky flavor, and crunchy toppings. The wood fired oven reminded me of a character from past TV shows -Fred Flintstone comes to Kauai! Got to be careful as eat too much pizza and I won't be able to fit through that 12" gap in the closed gates at Queen's Bath in Princeville!

We got the last 5 pizzas for dinner! Looks and tasted fresh, small 10" pizza, but good for a single person

Had the opportunity to order from Carabella's during a weekend trip to Kauai! The staff, the food, the environment was exceptional and I would love to eat from here again the next time I visit Kauai :)

While vacationing in Kauai I was excited to find out that Carabella's Pizza food truck was going to be at the Cliff's in Princeville. In addition to their regular menu Carabella's also has gluten free and vegetarian selections. Their pizzas are 10 inches. I chose a gluten free vegetarian pizza and a gluten free sausage and mushroom pizza. Both were excellent and we had left overs. While they're based in Kapaa check Carabella's Facebook for their other Kauai locations.

Delicious individual sized pizzas served from a food truck with a wood fire oven. We had the pepperoni and pesto goat cheese pizzas; crust and toppings delivered, and it was a perfect meal for two. Very nice people and great food. Definitely recommend when they pop up in your neighborhood.

On my Monday visit, I placed a phone order and got a large pizza: * 1/2 Deluxe (mozzarella cheese, zesty marinara, pepperoni, Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, green bell peppers, red onion, black olives, mushrooms, tomatoes) * 1/2 Meat Lovers (mozzarella cheese, zesty marinara, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, meatballs, bacon, Italian sausage) For the Friday visit, I ordered online because the restaurant was busy and phone orders were on hold. I ordered two pasta dishes: Spinach Raviolis (with creamy marinara sauce) and Lasagna. The restaurant called to inform me that they were out of both the Raviolis and the traditionally-made Classic Lasagna. They offered to make two Seafood Lasagnas instead. I have to say that both the pizza and the lasagna were absolutely flavorful and delicious! For the pizza, I loved the taste of the fresh ingredients; each bite was super delectable. The pasta dish was also unique and tasty. I don't typically see restaurants offering a Seafood Lasagna, and the execution was top-tier in my book. The interior of the restaurant was nice and cozy, with several tables and chairs. The staff members were pleasantly kind, and all of the food was fairly priced. Overall, I highly recommend Vivi's Pizza & Pasta for incredible pizza and pasta.

This place has an extensive Italian menu, and a huge drink menu showcasing a vast collection of bourbon. All of which is wildly overpriced, which is to be expected in this context. No complaints there. It's the Italian menu. Well, not really the menu...the cooking is horrific. We ordered a Hawaiian BBQ chicken pizza. A 16" thin crust which should have been a nice treat on an island with no shortage of fresh chickens and pineapple, and with a solid love of BBQ. The waitress was friendly and I was very optimistic. We also ordered some salad. The food came out quickly. First the salad. The lettuce was flimsy. The salad dressing was tasteless. It was basically some limp green lettuce and coarse chopped bell peppers. The salad was disappointing, to say the least - you have to seriously not give a rip to make a salad that boring. Then the main event! The pizza arrived. Complete with that nifty metal rack thing they bring out so that your pizza seems to hover over your table. The table did not have red pepper flakes, extra cheese or even salt and pepper - which I figured was a good sign. It looked OK: small chunks of chicken spread thinly across a 16" pizza, with small pineapple chunks (all of which were strangely uniform in size) and a pretty generous splattering of BBQ sauce mixed into the melted mozzarella. I sliced myself a slab of that pie and got ready to eat! One bite told me everything I needed to know. The uniformly shaped pineapple chunks had that telltale slightly metallic flavor because...IT CAME FROM A CAN! Hawaiian sacrilege! Then the BBQ sauce hit. I couldn't tell if it was from unsold McRib sandwiches, KC Masterpiece, or a jug of plain wrap BBQ SAUCE from the Big Save Market. It wasn't good. Then I reached the crust, which seemed like it came out of one of those Pillsbury tubes you get at the store and smack on your kitchen counter to get it to pop open. Nice for wrapping hot dogs for 7 year olds, not so great for pizza dough. The Hawaiian criminal code should include a felony for serving canned pineapple to unsuspecting pizza eaters. Bobby V's doesn't even have a beautiful Hawaiian vibe going for them. The ambiance is the disastrous hell hole called the Coconut Marketplace - a pointless commercial development where they ripped out real Hawaii and built simulated Hawaii. There are several other restaurants walking distance from this place, and even a McDonald's that's not so that far away; even the egg salad from a dispenser in the men's room at a nearby gas station is probably better than the pizza we ate (and it might make you a genius!) While attempting to eat a piece of their awful pizza - I watched as several plates of very overcooked pasta were served at nearby tables. The pasta was clearly very mushy and it didn't smell very good either. Perhaps they serve good desserts, depending on what's on sale at Costco. The beer was good...but someone else made that. Don't just skip Bobby V's, run! Run! And warn the others. I'm an absolutely hard pass on this place and you should be too. UPDATE: We got home from our trip and put together a Costco pizza kit for a late dinner. It was 10X better than Bobby V's pie, and cost about $3.

We got there early as the other reviews said it gets crowded and they do not take reservations. We arrived at 5 pm on a Wednesday and were seated right away closest to the beach. For our starter we had edamame which was a large portion and so good. My husband ordered the Chicken Pineapple Rice Bowl and substituted the chicken for the coconut shrimp. The rice was AMAZING as well as the shrimp, but our only complaint was the portion was very small and was served with only 3 shrimp. The picture looks like you get a lot, but it came in a carved out SMALL pineapple. The presentation was beautiful though. I had the Ceasar salad and added chicken. It was so good!!! The lettuce was so crisp! Nothing worse than a Ceasar salad with wilty romaine lettuce. I've had plenty of those in my day. This was one of the best I've ever had!
