We stopped by this amazing fruit stand and were immediately greeted by one of the nicest women I have ever met! We got Lana's special, Pina colada, and a fresh coconut. It was so delicious and hit the spot on such a hot day. We also tried the banana and mango bread as well as the local honey and homemade dried fruit. Everything was fantastic. NOT A TOURIST TRAP. I definitely recommend stopping by whether or not you're just craving a cold treat or want to support a local business! read more

So this is a fresh fruit stand in front of a restaurant. If you're looking for fresh fruit outside of a grocery store this is your place but it's not cheap but it's also Hawaii so you come to expect to pay a little more. As a tourist staying at a hotel, it's convenient to pay for already pre-cut or already peeled fruit which is what we were looking for. Served the purpose, satisfied the fruit craving but paid more than I would have liked. At the time they charged $5.00 a mango. read more

Local fruit stand with pineapple, mango, papaya, and small bananas? We got a mango smoothie for $8 which was lightly sweet and very fresh. I wanted sliced mangoes but I only saw that there was presliced pineapple. The service was decent, the woman we spoke to didn't seem like she worked there and was standing in temporarily for the owner. I'm sure the service experience is different outside of what we ran into. Either way I recommend! If you want to support a local business, this is definitely the spot for it. read more

I'm not sure what I was expecting from stopping at this fruit stand, but it definitely wasn't this. The fruit stand is part of a Thai restaurant; nothing I would dock stars for. The fruit is definitely expensive here: Bag of 8 Mangosteen: $6 1 cut mango: 8 1 cut papaya: 8 1 cut pine apple: 8 1 coconut with strays: 10 I definitely saw better prices elsewhere, perhaps I was up-charged for the slicing or I looked like I don't haggle, because I don't. Of the 4 fruits I purchased, I'd say the pineapple and papaya were fresh and sweet, the others were meh. The coconut was good. The lady's were nice, and pretty accommodating. Tell the truth, I'd suggest others try a different fruit stand, if they have a chance to drive around the island and time is on their side. read more

If you want fresh fruit, come here! They have the best pineapples and papayas. The fruit I've gotten here was always sweet except for two mangoes. We got a large coconut and the juice was so refreshing and chilled. When done drinking, they'll cut it in half for you to take home the meat. FYI it is pretty pricey read more

This fruit stand is in front of the cafe at Kauwila Street. If you don't seen them, they they're packed up behind the cafe. We arrived a little after 4 o'clock on a Tuesday and they were closed, not sure of the hours. However, we did stop by mid-day on a Friday and loaded up on lilikoi, mangos, and a soursop. They charge an extra dollar for the meat which was not the case in the other stores. Stop by this fruit stand for amazing fresh tropical fruit and CHILLED COCONUT JUICE right in the coconut. It was so delicious and refreshing especially during those humid days. My husband stopped by every time we drove through Kapa'a. The woman is super friendly and recognized us after the first time we were there. It was nice chatting with her. She cuts the tops of the coconuts like a bad ass pro -- with a huge machete. When we took out our cameras, she said she would go slower if we wanted to take a video! Unfortunately our coconut was young so there wasn't much meat inside. If we had known that older coconuts give more meat, I would've asked for a older one. Overall it was good but quite pricey, I would see if I can find a cheaper place to have fresh coconut next time. read more
