They're open early, which was exactly what I needed after an early flight. The staff was incredibly friendly, and there's convenient parking right next to the shop. They also have covered outdoor seating, which is perfect if you get caught in one of Kauai's quick rain showers. I ordered the coconut shrimp, and unfortunately they were overfried--quite dark and a little too crispy for my taste. My husband enjoyed his teriyaki steak with rice, so that was a much better choice. We also tried the calamari, which was just okay. The pieces were small, heavily breaded, and fried. I've definitely had better calamari elsewhere. Overall, I think you're paying as much for the incredible location, atmosphere, and service as you are for the food. I'm glad we went, and I would recommend visiting at least once for the beautiful setting, tropical cocktails, and live music. Just know that, in our experience, there are other restaurants on Kauai where the food is the real star. Would I return? Yes--for the view, the cocktails, and the atmosphere.
