Fries were spectacular, but the burrito had WAY too much bean for me personally, so the burrito wasn't my favorite. Everyone else in my group enjoyed their food though. Honestly one of the worst experiences I've had on the island. The service was incredibly rude from the start -- the woman working there had a terrible attitude and acted like helping customers was a burden. I asked for salsa after ordering and was told I couldn't have any... after paying $30 for a single burrito. That alone was wild. On top of that, the food didn't even make up for it. If you live on Kauai you probably have eaten here quite a bit. It's not the best but not the worst. I usually play it safe and get a bean and rice burrito which is decent although it usually has tons of rice and not a lot of beans. Yesterday after a long day at the beach, we stopped at paco taco in Kilauea, I got the nachos for my daughter and her friend to share. I was shocked that they were $19! I mean, I get it, Kauai is expensive but for $19 I expected them to be really good with lots of toppings. They were terrible. Very disappointing...definitely don't get the over priced nachos here!! If you want a good fish burrito go to Kilauea fish market, or check out healthy hut for their hot food and salad bar. The flavor was horrible and greasy and just like, not real food? Wish I took a photo but I couldn't even eat my food and my partner wouldn't either so I just tossed it and took the loss and left. After reading many reviews of the food here, I finally decided to try it out. The tacos are okay, but pretty pricey for what it is. We ordered the carne asada tacos, soft shell crab and ceviche. The ceviche was just a mix of tomatoes and small pieces of fish. It was refreshing but lacking some flavour. The carne asada was good but the steak was alittle over cooked in my opinion. We enjoyed the soft shell crab tacos but noticed that it's just a small piece you get. Had it been bigger, it would of been better and definitely worth the price. read more

I'll start off by saying as SoCal natives who have spent a lot of time in Mexico we have had LOTS of great tacos and these are not great. The shrimp in the shrimp tacos is nice and fresh but the tacos are not very flavorful. The fish tacos were really dry and again lacking flavor. The ingredients seemed very fresh which is a plus. Now for the real bad news. The older lady who took our order was not very nice and kind of rude. She literally rolled her eyes when I asked if I could get different kinds of tacos in my 3 taco plate. By the way, no you cannot. Also, a la cart tacos are $7 each! They are very small street taco style tacos! These tacos are not worth $7 each. They are mostly filled with cabbage. As a Mexican, I know what a good taco should taste and look like. These tacos were very poor quality, I make better tacos at home!! Nothing here was authentic! The beans were clearly canned and their chips and "salsa" were disgusting. They were also store bought and their tomato sauce tasted spoiled! Yuck!! I brought it up to the lady at the counter and she said that was all they had. Plus, they were over priced!! $8 for one taco!! One taco !! It looked like my kiddo put it together! But even his tacos would have looked and tasted better. Unfortunately, my family and I were in such a disappointing shock that we forgot to take pictures of the food. There's more, let me talk about the service. The lady at the cashier is clearly unhappy with her job, she has very poor customer service skills. She's extremely rude and not friendly at all. We loved the shrimp and the Baja fish taco the most. If you are trying to eat healthy then the regular fish taco would be a good choice otherwise go for the Baja style. The service was good. It did not open because there was no WiFi and she told me she didn't know a WiFi code. I asked if they had Chilli Rellenos and if they were freshly made. She gave me a blank stare and never answered me. i asked to talk to the manager and another blank stare. First time eating here after dozens of trips to the North Shore. It is a little off the beaten track although right off the main road. Very Kauaian! We shared the Thursday special Chile Verde Burrito, which was also topped with the Chile Verde. This was definitely a Hawaiian style version of the classic Mexican dish, nothing fancy, but very tasty, with ground pork replacing chunks, a very thin burrito tortilla, and several condiment "salsas" adding lots of flavor. For me, this was a great Hawaiian find, as witnessed by the many locals, on lunch break, who waited to eat outside under the awning, with various Chickens and cats wandering around.
