    Rosarito Fish Taco Combo
    Anola S.

Okay for the record I was starving...and our food took FOREVER to make...but honestly, one of THEE best fish tacos I've ever had. I got the Rosarito Fish Taco, Garlic Herb Shrimp Taco, and Carnitas Taco with a side of steamed beans. Also got a side of Chips and Salsa Best taco was the Rosarito Fish Taco. It had plenty of perfectly grilled and seasoned mahi mahi. Second best was the garlic shrimp taco. This was just as good as the fish but it only had like 2 shrimps in it! RIPP. Last was the Carnitas taco. Carnitas were pretty good but a bit salty. At least there was a lot of meat tho! Wish I would have got a second fish taco instead. Chips were thick (it's my pet peeve to get thin-ass chips so that's a plus) but lacked any flavor and they gave us a 2 oz container of salsa...with like 100 chips.... That amount of salsa is good for like one bite lol. Steamed pinto beans were FIRE as well! Cute indoor decor and plenty of outside seating. Definitely recommend!

A Mexican food restaurant in Hanalei! Wow! Anyway, my wife and our sister-in-law wanted fish tacos so they ordered that here. The food took a long time to prepare as they had to prepare it fresh. The process took longer than I thought but my wife said that it was worth it. The fish was fresh and the 2 tacos that came in the order was filling enough. The restaurant sits along Route 560 in the middle of Hanalei. It's popular because most of the other restaurants close too early to accommodate the tourists who come around after laying on the beach all day. Overall, it's a good place to have a good meal!

The wait is horrendous but they have great happy music to entertain the hungry crowd. I had the Seafood Flautas plus a large soda, total was under $20.00 dollars. They served me cold rice and very cold beans, the flauta was ok nothing extraordinary. The wait is long so by the time you get your food 1/2 of your drink is gone and they do charge for a refill. I'm not saying the food was terrible, but it was definitely not worth 38 minutes for lunch!

Filling and fairly fast. The veggie options lacked the same good flavor as meat options. We supplemented with our own hot sauce.

Stopped by for lunch. The burrito was good but leaked too much. Decent selection of options.

    Shrimp flautas. Fire!

We'll definitely be back earlier next time. The wife who took our order was very patient while we looked over the menu since we missed out on the Benedict . From the time we ordered, it took about 25 minutes for the food to be ready . We ordered the burrito , which was really hearty and filling. I ended up sharing it with my husband. There were lots of eggs and the salsa verde that came with it was pretty good, though it could've used a little salt . The meat pieces were on the smaller side, and I think I found one piece of Portuguese sausage. We also tried the pork verde sandwich , which was really flavorful . The chips and country potato sticks were a bit overdone for my taste, but I really liked the garlic aioli . It paired well with both the country potatoes and the burrito and tied everything together nicely. Ambiance was casual and very Kauai, with covered picnic tables and the local chickens wandering around while we waited Overall, a solid breakfast stop with friendly service and we're looking forward to coming back early next time to try the eggs Benedict

Multiple people were allowed to walk up & enter through the exit, then sit at the bar while we were patiently waiting to even be approached. We would have gladly sat at the bar, if anyone would have checked with us. I guess it pays to be aggressive here? The check in process during busy times should be regulated & monitored better. Other than that, once we were approached we were seated after a short wait and service was great after that. Food was so good, we came back the next day and were seated immediately. Aloha!

It was served one ingredient on top of the next, room temperature, and tasted like a hot mess. We actually felt sick from it. The amount of syrup this bartender used was crazy. You can sit inside or out and they have the doors open so the wind was going through, which of course made me cold. But they have gluten-free buns. The young lady who took our order was very friendly and gluten-free herself so she knew exactly what I was going through and has a list of items that can be gluten-free. I ordered Fresh Island Fish Sandwich at $26.95 Grilled fresh garlic buttered fish served with a lemon caper dill mayonnaise and "the works" on a toasted gluten-free bun. It was huge! Juicy and very flavorful. The House salad was also huge and the house thousand Island dressing that came with it was delicious.
