Favorite place for tacos! Still as good as previous years! Carnitas tacos are my favorite here! Can still only eat 1 and be satisfied. This time there weren't many chickens joining us outside. Still have wipes for the tables. They have also branched out on Kauai with other locations. We always go to this location since this is where we like staying, but great to know we could get Tiki tacos in the South side in Waimea if we had to on a day adventure. We went here multiple times. Did go one evening at 5pm on a Wednesday and unfortunately they had already closed. Usually stay open until 7pm. Also first time we went here on this last trip they didn't have carnitas that day. I wish I found this place sooner! The the tortillas are so fresh she could see them making it right then and there. The salsa that they have complement their tacos so perfectly. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their menu. Customer service is great. They even had made a fresh batch of their salsa right then and there I will be back the next time I'm here. The fish tacos were solid, and the crispy pork was pretty good but the Kalua pork was the one I'd go back for. The not spicy sauce is incredible. You come for the tacos, not the ambiance. This was our first stop after arriving on the island. This place is always hopping! It's a small location, kind of a hole in the wall, with seating inside and outside. The disco lights in the restroom were fun and comical. We ordered our food and some drinks and waited for our name to be called. We grabbed a table and chairs outside. The food was ready quickly. These tacos are HUGE! I thought it was a couple of tacos. Nope. It's one taco. It could honestly be a burrito lol. I got the Al pastor, my oldest got the pulled pork and my youngest got chicken. When I saw positive reviews from Yelp Elites in my community, I knew I was in good hands! The tacos here are fresh, creative, and BIG. They are unlike any tacos I've ever had, in the best way. Along with slippah hikes you can do in November, I wish Anchorage had tacos like these. The menu is tough to read in the Yelp photos though, I wish they had it in a better format so you could order ahead easier. You walk in, the decor is really cool, you order your tacos from the bar, and there are some of the best tacos you'll ever have in your life. This place is not fancy. Delicious taco stand type street tacos. I love that their food is gluten free. The spicy fish tacos are one of my favorites but everything is good. Don't forget to try all their sauces. My favorite are the green and the habanero. They have spicy delicious flavors but are not overpowering. They also have real Mexican coke in a bottle. My husband and I ate here just a few days ago. Coming from San Diego, we were. Bit wary of the tacos on Kauai, but this place was incredible! I wanted to try fish tacos while on Kauai. We picked Tiki Tacos. I had "the best fish taco" (that's what they named it) I wasn't impressed. It wasn't bad but it also wasn't the "best." The homemade tortillas were great. They were thick, grilled and hot. The taco had fish, onions, slaw and a sauce on it. To me it was lacking flavor. It definitely needed something. A squeeze of lime would have elevated this taco for sure. They had a bunch of ok sauces but every sauce except one was spicy. I put the not spicy green sauce on it. It helped but it wasn't fantastic. It would gave been great with a mango salsa or something to make flavors pop. I would not get their fish taco again. My second taco was a winner. I got Kahlua pork. It was crispy and flavorful and everything I want a taco to be. I would definitely get that again. The menu for ordering was done in chalk on a big board but it wasn't organized or easy to read. I finally gave up and just got fish taco and a taco that the girl at the register suggested. She nailed it with the pork taco. Also the sodas in the cooler weren't cold at all. That was a bummer. It was also expensive. $10. Per taco . This is a small joint with a few tables inside but most people ate outside because there was more seating. So this place had some highs and lows. We ate here nearly every day in Kauai. Steak isn't the best quality in my opinion. They do fish tacos based off of the catch and today it was mahi mahi I wasn't in love with them but my husband is more of a fish eater and he said it was his fav. Stopped at Tiki Tacos in Kapa'a while visiting Kaua'i and wow--what a find! I went for the Kahlúa pork taco and it was amazing. The pork was smoky, tender, and piled high--exactly what you'd hope for in Hawai'i. I also tried the asada and shrimp tacos, and both were super tasty, fresh, and full of flavor. My wife ordered the veggie tacos and she loved them--really flavorful and satisfying, not just an afterthought like veggie options can sometimes be. Portions are big, the tortillas are thick and taste fresh, and everything just hits the spot after a beach day. Friendly service too.
