Absolutely amazing--do not drive by without stopping. Fresh, homemade tortillas paired with your choice of delicious meats make these tacos next-level. We tried the asada beef and the tiki fire beef, and I was honestly blown away by how good they were. You can customize them, but we ate ours as-is, and the combination of cabbage, queso, sour cream, grilled onions, and homemade salsa was absolute perfection. I literally dream about these tacos now and wish I had ordered more. When I make it back to the island, I will 100% be making the drive to eat here again--multiple times. Seriously...don't pass up these tacos!
Ordered the shrimp taco and it was big and delicious. Would definitely come back. Also tried some of my friends kalua pig and would get that next time. The tiki fire pork was too spicy for me.
Got the fire beef taco and the quesadilla with spicy chicken added. Was a bit pricey as it was (I believe) $26 total for both, but the portions were huge. I should've just gotten the quesadilla! The homemade corn tortillas were good and did not fall apart. However, the beef was dry, chewy, and unseasoned, which is why I'm giving this 3 stars. The toppings weren't seasoned well also, so it was overall bland. Would definitely get the chicken over the beef next time! Service was a bit slow but there was only a couple people working but the employee ringing us up was very kind. Plenty of indoor seating in AC!
Tacos and salads are huge. The fish taco does not have much flavor. The tortilla is soft and mushy. The salad has onions in it and is a weird texture. The seating area is open and clean with great large windows that you can see everything from. Great artwork on the walls. Staff was pleasant and service was quick but I wouldn't eat here again. Looks great, tastes blah.
We came here with high expectations based on the stellar reviews, but were quite disappointed. Outrageously overpriced, average tacos; disappointing service; and a bare bones set up (when you're paying $13 for a fish taco, you expect to be able to get a free glass of water, a restroom to use, or a smile from the staff). Our family of two adults and one child shared the following: 1) Kahuna fish taco - lacked the heat that was promised; okay 2) TikiFire pork taco - also lacked the promised heat; decent 3) Shrimp taco - bland 4) Roasted chicken taco - well seasoned All the tacos had way too much lettuce/cabbage. I honestly do not see what all the hype is about. I live in San Francisco, and our local taquerias serve much more flavorful tacos at much more reasonable prices. The fact that the staff member never cracked a smile was pretty disappointing. When I asked for a cup of water, I was told that wouldn't be possible, but they'd be willing to refill a personal water bottle for me. It was also disappointing they had no restrooms available for patrons. The prices here were quite steep, at about $9-13 a taco, depending on the type. While the tacos are bigger than your typical street taco, they still don't warrant the crazy high price tag. To their credit, the indoor seating area was clean, air conditioned, and pleasant. Overall, this place was a let down - we won't be hurrying back.

I just finished my Asada beef taco with avocado and my husband is going back to order more for us to take home. This is hands down the BEST taco you're going to have in you life. Tall order, I know. Others have co planned about cost, but each taco is essentially a main dish so I felt the prices were totally appropriate. There was no wait when we arrived to get our tacos to go for beach sunset, the AC worked and the fridge was full of Mexican sodas (big saver is two doors down for modelo. The employees were polite and answered our questions (p on the menu means made with adobo sauce, that substituting the beef with spicy beef was possible) 1. Tiki fire pork: we added the tiki sauce by this one and it was magic. Has a little more heat but the citrus compliment the others were missing. 2. Kahuna fish: was ok, would eat again but wasn't my favorite 3. Surf and turf (with the tiki fire beef instead of plain. I think this was the best meat wise We will be back. And we will use the tiki sauce on everything!!! Mexican sodas for sale but no Coronas, we packed our own for our sunset dinner on the beach (they were cold!)

Stopped at Tiki Tacos in Kapa'a while visiting Kaua'i and wow--what a find! I went for the Kahlúa pork taco and it was amazing. The pork was smoky, tender, and piled high--exactly what you'd hope for in Hawai'i. I also tried the asada and shrimp tacos, and both were super tasty, fresh, and full of flavor. My wife ordered the veggie tacos and she loved them--really flavorful and satisfying, not just an afterthought like veggie options can sometimes be. Portions are big, the tortillas are thick and taste fresh, and everything just hits the spot after a beach day. Friendly service too. Definitely one of the best meals we had on the island--we'll be back next trip for sure! Also, the owner or dude in charge was the best! Made you feel at home, explained everything and genuinely seemed pleased that we were there. Very refreshing; plus, he sported a stellar cowboy hat!
I wish I could give 10 stars! Best tacos ever. Homemade tortillas and HUGE! Fresh ingredients and so flavorful. We wanted to come back 10 times. I had the fish and my husband had the kahlua pork. He said it was the best pork he's had so far on this trip. Their guacamole was also so fresh and delicious. read more

We stopped in for a quick bite on our way to Waimea Canyon. The cashier was very friendly and helpful with our questions. I ordered the tiki fire pork taco with no sour cream or cheese. I like spicy and this was pretty spicy. The pork was lean which was a plus. The salsa was good. My husband had the fish and shrimp taco with no cream and a cheese quesadilla. He thought they were both great. The only downside was we like tortilla chips with our tacos and they only had Hawaiian potato chips. The restaurant itself is not huge but there were plenty of seats when we were there. Side note, no restrooms. read more
Ono fish taco love the air conditioner- especially for the westside! Friendly staff letting us know our access to various salsa. Skeleton motif is cute. Fish is done perfectly! Super fresh! The salsa is creative- love that they have a sweet salsa and a spicy salsa. I highly recommend-this is clean food! Shout out to Izzy for excellent service! read more

Perfect spot to grab a bite to eat after our Waimea Canyon Hike! I ordered a shrimp taco and my hubby ordered a fish taco. The tacos come with cabbage and pico de gallo, cheese and salsa that ranges from mild (mine had mild green salsa) to spicy . The tacos range in price from $9-15 dollar each. Don't worry one taco will definitely fill you up. The tortillas are large and I think they are made fresh, but I am not sure. No you won't get rice and beans with your taco, it's just a taco, but you won't be disappointed. It's no wonder this place has such great reviews on YELP! read more

We ordered 6 tacos from here for about $12-$14 each and they are big for the size. I wish they told us that before ordering 6 of them. All the tacos really liked flavor and were dry. The fish tacos also did not smell right and paired with the white sauce just made the smell and taste not very good. We had very limited options coming back from the canyon since everything closed early and everything just did not taste very good to us. The tacos are doused with lettuce and the white sauce which made them soggy and lack even more flavor. The waitress was not very nice and just mainly sat on her phone and would not attend to many people. They did not have any fresh salsa either. The ambiance was okay and not the most clean place. I would recommend just driving down and eating at a different place. read more

The tacos have a fresh crunch from the cabbage. Nice cotija cheese, crema, and salsa verde. It is a fast casual place, order at the counter and they call when your order is ready. The tacos are big and one taco will probably be enough for most people. Warning, the tiki fire taco is very spicy. read more

Went out for a drive up the west shore of Kauai and got hungry. My wife searched up Tiki Tacos in Waimea so we stopped in. The menu was straight forward with lots of options and we selected the fish tacos, which turned out to be Ono on that day. We both ordered one Ono Taco and were amazed at the flavor, fresh ingredients, and hand made corn tortilla. It was the perfect size for lunch. We are already looking forward to our next visit! Are you hungry? Are you surrounded by Gremlins? Is your party can devour an elephant ? Look no further than Tiki Tacos because this place is legit! I was driving down from the Canyon and I saw this restaurant and decided to give them a shot. When I first came in, I saw a taco that cost $10 and I was like that is crazy. I still ordered two and they are massive! More like Mammoth Tacos ! One will feed a family of 5. Well, I am exaggerating but you get the point! It is and was a lot of food. I had my two tacos and they were very filling so the ROI is there. The staff was friendly and she was very welcoming and took the time to share that they were okay average tacos . Clearly I have been eating Smurf tacos . If you are hungry and you need to feed your Gremlins or inner Gremlin. This is your best spot. Until next time Aloha and Mahalo! read more

Might be the Best tacos I've ever had. They were HUGE. It would be very hard to eat more than two. The meat was amazing, and the toppings really made the taco. Guac was very very good as well as the salsa verde. They do such a great job here. read more

After a long day of hiking, we were headed back to our hotel and looking for anything decent that was close. We stumbled upon Tiki Tacos and we were served by the owner of the establishment. The indoor atmosphere is not great and this place would do amazing with some outdoor seating, but stay for the amazing food and friendly staff. I tried the fish and shrimp taco and carne asada. Delicious. The owner gave me the whole history of the traditional taco with all the ingredients. She described the "street taco" as being meant to be served on the street and not in a restaurant. It all made sense, but regardless the food was amazing. Our family of 4, which included 2 teenage boys, got out of here for less than $90. read more

The tiki taco in in Wiamea is delicious spot for a big savory taco! The flavors are outstanding and the homemade corn tortillas were a big hit. This place is cozy and friendly. The decorations are local and have a flavor of Mexico and Hawaiian style. Give Tiki taco a try you will be saying mmmmmmm! read more

Fun little place with great decor and good food. Very casual and worth a stop. Had the tiki fire pork taco -- tasty and not too hot (that's why there's the excellent hot sauce), and my husband had the fish and shrimp taco, which he enjoyed, but regretted not getting all shrimp because the shrimp were so good. One taco per person is plenty. read more

I know people go crazy about Da Crack tacos but I think Tiki Tacos are better than thoses because you get better options and the gauc is so good!!!! read more

4.5 stars! This is was a great surprise - we had fantastic tacos and look forward to visiting the sister location in Wailea! Coming from AZ, where tacos are prolific and amazing, these were absolutely delicious. Homemade tortillas, huge tacos with great toppings (prices for individual tacos are higher than your run of the mill street taco size as a result, so take note), and nice casual ambiance. It's in an outdoor marketplace anchored by Big Save grocery store and had decent parking. Menu options for tacos is huge and felt like it had something for every taste and diet. We had the Kalua pork and roasted Mayan, which were both bursting with flavor and toppings. We went for mild for our kiddos but next time I plan to get at least one spicy option, if the flavor of their sauces are any indication of the spice level. I also purchased a jar of peanut chili crisp, which the cashier assured me was excellent. I purchased it because I've not seen a chili crisp with sesame seeds and peanuts (or pumpkin seeds!) and it didn't disappoint - I loved the flavor and the spice level is definitely med high. I am neutral on the addition of sesame seeds - more shallots and garlic, please! - but I really liked the addition of the peanuts and will enjoy having this with noodles. I wish they had sample-sized cups at the salsa station for individual portions and a public bathroom, but everything else was great! Highly recommended for great tacos with a Hawaiian twist. read more
