Parking is very hard to find at lunch time. Breads are very good & fresh. Closes at 12:30pm. Plenty of outdoor seating. Sometimes you can overhear the outdoor performances. They give you a number and they bring you the food outside.

I ordered two things to be able to try different things. Portion sizes were great. The biscuit was so fresh and warm topped with the jam. It was phenomenal. Plenty of seating. Arrive early as this place will have a long line. I will definitely be returning when I island hop to Kauai again.

Their breakfast sandwich was enough to split and we couldn't go without the bagel.

If your in the area of the North Shore don't miss out for a chance to enjoy this place. The atmosphere is relaxing offering both indoor and outdoor seating. The bread is so fresh as are all the ingredients they use. If your lucky enough you can snag a loaf to take with you before it's sold out cause it will sell out. Friendly and fast service

A beautiful and bustling spot in a little shopping center with a lot of pretty stores right by Hanalei Bay. Service was friendly, and food came out pretty quickly. The Matcha Latte with vanilla bean syrup was really good, and the mango and guava pastry was delicious, flaky, and not too sweet but the sandwich fell flat for me. Not bad, but in my opinion way too much bread, super thick slices compared to the filling the filling and I found it to be pretty bland, especially considering it's expensive. Definitely swing by for a drink a pastries though if you're in the north shore area.

We went here several times for breakfast during our stay in North Kauai, and it quickly became one of our favorite morning spots. Over a few visits, we tried the avocado toast, apple ricotta toast, peanut butter banana toast, breakfast burritos, mocha, latte, and tropical smoothie -- everything was consistently good. My personal favorites: the tropical smoothie (so fresh and vibrant), the breakfast burrito (the salsa on the side is surprisingly amazing), and the apple ricotta toast -- sweet, rich, and definitely one to share. And of course, a mocha to end the meal. Highly recommend starting your day here if you're in Hanalei. Just a heads up -- lines can get long when placing your order at the counter. Food is brought out to your table, but you'll need to pick up your drinks at the smoothie/coffee counter.

Review 100 Not great. I ordered a latte and the breakfast burrito. The coffee was very weak -- it tasted more like milk than coffee. The burrito was okay; it was mostly potatoes and by the end it felt heavy. It really could have used some meat. However the service was good and the place has a fantastic view of the Kauai mountains.

Everything about HBC is top notch. They make a mean iced Americano and their breakfast burrito is the best I have ever had. They are always super busy but it is worth it. Their staff is friendly and takes the time to get you what you need. If you're ever in Hanalei, don't miss this gem.

While dining at Bar Acuda, we were told the Hanalei Bread Company is an awesome place for breakfast. We headed there today and it didn't disappoint. Any restaurant with 10-20 people in line constantly is a good indicator its food is worth the wait. I really appreciate a restaurant that tells you your order is made from scratch, so don't expect it to come out fast. The Breakfast Burrito and Croissant Sandwich were both incredible, and super-sized. We have breakfast covered for tomorrow.

Been going here for the past 5 years every time I come to Kauai (which has been 3 times) Hanalei Bread Co. is one of my favorite places for breakfast. All their dishes are freshly made, topped to the brim in goodness. Their service is fast, and the scenery never gets old. I've tried just about everything on their menu, and you really can't go wrong

When I travel, I try to only go places once so that I can try as much as I can - pastries were so great; we came back twice. What we got: Chai spice smoothie was very unique and I craved it almost every day during our recent trip. The snickerdoodle cookie danish is the perfect pastry - not overbearingly sweet, yet curbs my sweet tooth, well balanced, and still soft and tasty the next morning. Breakfast burrito comes in a very generous portion and is filled with perfectly cooked and seasoned eggs & potatoes. Second day: we got the strawberry sugar roll. Not as mind blowing as the snickerdoodle cookie danish, but still extremely flavorful & fresh. Atmosphere: Very clean with a reasonably sized, open air dining area. We got here very early and were lucky to have options for where to sit. Service: Mm..yeah..just come for the snickerdoodle cookie danish. It wasn't bad service, just very dismissive and slightly below standard.

One of the most beautiful areas on the island and one of the best breakfasts I had!!! Firstly this place can get BUSY with not a lot of seating so be prepared. It's fast paced so you'll definitely end up finding somewhere if you wait. Just look at the food pics holy moly. The club sandwich was clubbbbbbing that was the fattest sandwich I've ever seen in my life and totally worth it. I got the fancy toast which was delicious. Even the available bowl came out quick and was equally as delicious!! The coffees were amazing and gulped down. The staff are all really nice. We got lucky and all pastries were 50% so we grabbed a banana bread too which was gone so quickly I didn't even take a photo. My only issue is how rude the customers are omg. Everyone around us felt the need to be so entitled. But nothing to do with the restaurant just be aware they will ruin your breakfast slightly! Such a wonderful area to spend the morning at. Ample of shopping and parking and it was just a lovely morning minus the senior citizens that thought they owned the place!! Booo.

Great place to swing by if you are in the area. They serve breakfast and is about the only coffee house that is open early hours. Was looking for a place that serve açaí bowls and this is where Yelp took us. It's in the cute town of Hanalei. Be ready for a slight wait as this place is always busy but moves steadily. Prices are a bit on the higher end for a coffee shop. They sell fresh bread here too. They only have outdoor seating so be ready to have some company, the chickens haha.

6/10 - breakfast sando 7/10 pretty mid despite good reviews :/ got the breakfast sando. egg was subpar, the mayo had a special garlic maybe taste to it, bread was very bland and kinda dry. sad since its bread company! - peanut butter banana toast 5/10 was literally peanut butter banana toast with a couple of macadamia nuts. should've known what i was signing up for bc it's in the name LMAO but it was just that, nothing special. the sourdough was good but again nothing special. wouldn't get again

Are there gift cards to purchase? Would like to buy one for a friend traveling to hanalei for vacay, and htis looks like a nice breakfast surprise for them!! Let me know ASAP!

There is no website that I was able to find so I do not know and google info does not show it. U might try calling to see. Its a tiny little place in a super laid back place so it wont surprise me if answer is no. But Id still call.

    Is there wifi available?

    No wifi. You're on vacation.

Do the breakfast burritos come with a corn or flour tortilla? Want to go here but my husband's gluten free, not sure he could have anything else.

Flour tortillas. I'm sure they would provide the filling without the tortilla in a bowl or something.

So during our trip to the…read morenorth shore of Kauai, we stopped into this location to explicitly get a variety for our lunch on the beach. It turned out great. Foodland is a Hawaiian original, founded in Honolulu on 1948 as Hawaii's first modern supermarket, and continues to be owned by the founder's family. It has 31 locations across the islands, but only one is still open in Kauai (the Lihue location closed during Covid). It's kinda hidden, so would need to explicitly look for it. It's a medium size supermarket. The poke station and hot deli are located together with the same associates manning both. It was busy and crowded around that area, so important to pull a number and wait. Once my number was called, got seven different items and the associate was patient. My wife doesn't like poke, so made herself a hot lunchbox for a good price (one Korean chicken drumstick at $2.50 each; cheddar cheese tots $2.79 for 0.31 lbs; one corn cob $1.29) while I made a deconstructed poke bowl ($3.38 for 2 scoops of white rice; chili garlic crunch ahi $4.80 for 0.30 lbs; Poke fresh ahi hawaiian style $11.56 for 0.34 lbs; california style ahi $4.80 for 0.30 lbs). My favorite was the California style, with the avocado. It reminds me of the taste of a California roll. Hate to admit it, but paying for almost triple the price for fresh ahi tuna isn't worth it...the from frozen was still great as a poke.

We found that the spicy tuna was softer and more delicious than the salmon pokes. I can see how people would rate the poke less than 5 stars if you purchase a flavor that you end up not being a fan of. We also loved the crispy chicken thighs from the hot food section. Surprisingly the poke and crispy chicken from Foodland ended up being one of my favorite meals in Kauai!!

We'll definitely be back earlier next time. The wife who took our order was very patient while we looked over the menu since we missed out on the Benedict . From the time we ordered, it took about 25 minutes for the food to be ready . We ordered the burrito , which was really hearty and filling. I ended up sharing it with my husband. There were lots of eggs and the salsa verde that came with it was pretty good, though it could've used a little salt . The meat pieces were on the smaller side, and I think I found one piece of Portuguese sausage. We also tried the pork verde sandwich , which was really flavorful . The chips and country potato sticks were a bit overdone for my taste, but I really liked the garlic aioli . It paired well with both the country potatoes and the burrito and tied everything together nicely. Ambiance was casual and very Kauai, with covered picnic tables and the local chickens wandering around while we waited Overall, a solid breakfast stop with friendly service and we're looking forward to coming back early next time to try the eggs Benedict
