We stopped in about 10 minutes before they closed. A very cute place with various seating situated outside. I ordered coffee and a baked good. Coffee was delicious. However I wanted the cake to be heated up (it was cold from the refrigerator) but the staff had already unplugged the warmers , toaster oven like appliances and could not warm up the cake . I feel if you arrive before closing, service should still be available. read more

Visited Trilogy Coffee while on vacation in Kauai on the recommendation of a friend from the mainland. The shop itself is on the smaller side but has a large shared parking lot, so parking wasn't an issue. I ordered one of their specialty drinks, the Buddha Brew (ONYX COLD BREW, SALTED MACADAMIA, AND LOCAL COCONUT MILK - SERVED SHAKEN OVER ICE ) while Miori went with her usual iced vanilla latte. The drinks were fine, but honestly, the coffee didn't wow us, it was just okay. That said, the overall vibe of the shop was nice, and the outdoor seating area worked well for hanging out. One thing to note: there are a lot of chickens and roosters roaming around, which is very Kauai but something to keep in mind if you plan to sit and enjoy a meal or coffee outside. Was the bread a sour dough? Not sure but it was white, wishing for a whole grain seemed petty for this luscious dish tho. Tried the lychee cheesecake and it was delicious. I'm still thinking about it now 3 weeks later. My partner had the matcha and she thoroughly enjoyed it. The cashier was nice and provided some good info on coffee/matcha. Great little spot to sit for a little bit after having some lunch nearby and/or checking out the stores in the shopping center. I don't know in what world we think it's okay to charge $4.50 for alternative milk but apparently here it is okay. I was charged $13.99 for a small, iced coffee with coconut milk. I think that is absolutely ridiculous. The coffee itself was not good, a bitter and weak espresso shot with no flavor from the syrups (I got the banana bread latte). The shop itself is cute, easy access in and out. The service was also nice, the barista was very friendly. Edit: I apologize for being snappy. I did not realize that local farmers supply the coconut milk, I am happy to support local farmers here in Kauai. I think signage in the shop that indicates the cost and explains the high cost would help the customer understand. read more

Came back to this cafe twice during my trip. Loving it both times. Came here purposely to get their matcha latte on the way and while was waiting for the Kīlauea Lighthouse timed entrance. I got their Matcha Mac Latte which is really smooth and I asked for unsweetened as I always do. Usually you can tell from the color of the matcha once it's poured into the cup and see if it's vibrant green. This one passed the vibrancy. Tried their pastries also. They have great selection of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian pastries. Their Lilikoi Kake is tangy and sweet at same time, and divinely light. They have seatings in front of their cafe on the lawn area. There's a boutique or shop across from it and some other stores within the area. It's cute, warm to heart, kinda coffee shop. I love this place! Great energy, coffee, coffee alternatives! Super creative elixirs! The food, although limited, is (mostly) Vegan and Gluten Free. Limited lunch menu but awesome quality. Staff is amazing. I come here 2-3 times a week and sit out in their seating area under a large tree. I always order their avocado toast! Don't have a favorite drink, they are all so good, but top 3 include: Chocolate chai, Mintcha Chip, and Mushroom adaptogen with Mac nut milk. Cute place. Friendly staff. But that's all there is to it. My hubby got the iced americano and it was strong and bitter, which he's kind of glad he opted out of the milk for the very reason they made my coffee. I got vanilla iced latte and it's 95% milk and 5% coffee. I spilled some of it out and had my husband put some of his drinks on mine, which made it a lit better (I can finally taste a hint of coffee lol) I can't wait to try the chocolate bars tho! read more

What a cute small cafe in Kilauea. The indoor area is for ordering only but there are a lot of small tables outside under the trees for you to enjoy your coffee. I ordered what was on their printed display menu, something "Spanish" which meant that mine had a touch of chili powder. It was GREAT! The Iced Latte was also very good. I was recommended by a coworker about this coffee shop. I was expecting to buy coffee but it looked like they specialized in teas so I ordered a Chai (Trilogy Chai). I got it iced and it cost $6. It was one of the best loose leaf chai I've ever had. It was sweet but not too sweet. Had an authentic taste to it. Came on a Saturday afternoon around 11am. A cute little shop with outdoor seating. The biggest draw here was for my husband with the options with Lion Power Potion (made with Lion's mane mushrooms). They have all sorts of superfood coffees/drinks: Mushroom Milk, Turmeric Coconut Chai, Highlove Superfood Steamer, Witch's Brew (made of Ashwagandha spice blend), and Matcha Latte. They have delicious sounding pastries, a good selection of loose-leaf teas and regular coffee. Admittedly, for me, the coffee and pastry was not anything to warrant a second visit. The staff were very friendly and coffee and pastries ready in a good amount of time. They have several items for purchase in their shop: coffee making items and their mushroom milk for purchase. They do not have restrooms on site, but there are clean restrooms across the street at the supermarket. Also, a great stop to pickup some Hawaiian snacks and more! Coffee was good, the raw snickers was really good and so were the amaze balls. My wife said the vanilla latte was the best one she has had in Hawaii (coming from her that is a huge compliment) and there were so many gluten free options. I wasn't a fan of the key lime pie, but the friendly staff more than compensated for that one thing. Over all very good. read more
