You'd think finding a well made burger with local beef and quality fixings would be easy to find here. I'm not knocking the competition, just saying this burger was a standout for the many I've tried. We got there right when they opened as I've heard they can sell out fast. Ok, maybe not that fast but that's what I told my husband because I was hungry and NEEDED a great burger. Let me just say, they are not afraid of seasoning! Totally a key component of home made burgers. Hanalei burgers beat mine by a long shot and I make a pretty darn good burger. Even better was I didn't have to clean the grill or kitchen after. The buns are super fresh, no cardboard in these babies. The pickles had crunch and great flavor. The lettuce was crisp and not one wilty edge on em. Their "secret sauce" was amazing. A tiny but magical hint of spice is used that complimented the burger in every right way. It definitely wasn't your average run of the mill thousand island bottle dressing. It's really good! Let's talk onion rings. These were excellent. If they were store bought I'd be shocked. Great crunch the way I like em. Comes with a side of said "secret sauce" for dipping. By the way, I had zero intentions of sharing with hubby but there were a lot in the order. I "graciously" shared because between us- I couldn't eat anymore lol. The staff were great! The young lady manning the window was fun and helpful. The "cooks" are really "chefs" in cooks clothing. LOL. This crew all take PRIDE in what they're serving and you know it with first bite. Darn delicious!!! read more

I've been searching for the best burger in Kauai, and I think I finally found it at Hanalei Burger. It's a food truck in Hanalei with plenty of tables outside to grub. Or take it to go and bring it to the beach. This is a simple burger done perfectly. The beef is juicy and flavorful, the toppings are fresh, and the secret sauce absolutely makes it. The sauce has a slight kick to it, just perfection. Everything works together without trying to be overly fancy. My recommendation: get the double. The extra patty takes it to another level and is well worth it. The fries are hot and crispy and go great with the sauce. If you're a burger lover visiting Kauai, or just need to kau kau after a surf in Hanalei this spot should be on your list. Simple, delicious, and easily the best burger I had on the island. The staff is also extremely nice and full of aloha! read more

Hanalei Burger - double burger and fries with the delicious sauce. - Food Trucks Near Me - Hanalei, Hawaii

Came for a quick/late lunch at this food truck. Ordered the Hanalei Burger and a lilikoi lemonade. The burger was juicy and I loved the Hanalei sauce (house secret sauce). The lilikoi lemonade was refreshing and not too sweet. There's some park benches you can sit on to eat that are shared amongst all the food trucks in the area. There was no line which was nice! read more

Hanalei Burger - Cheeseburger - Food Trucks Near Me - Hanalei, Hawaii

The best way I could describe Hanalei Burger is Hawaii's take on an In-N-Out burger but WAY fresher and with organic ingredients. So basically, its better than In-N-Out. We came here absolutely famished from an 8 mile hike on the Kalalau Trail. It was hilarious that the women who was taking our order said SO many people always come after this hike. Needless to say, it hit the spot. The burger was fresh and delicious, the fries were perfection and the lilikoi lemonade was tart and not too sweet. We ate it all up and were eager to already fit Hanalei Burger in our remaining island plans. Unfortunately they were closed the rest of the time we were on island so we didn't get another taste but Hanalei Burger is now on our top list of places you MUST eat at on Kauai. They get their meat from the other side of the island and they sell until sold out. It's a hot commodity for a reason! read more

Hanalei Burger - Food Trucks Near Me - Hanalei, Hawaii

HOLY WOW! We recently came here during our 4th annual trip to Kauai and man did this burger hit the spot after an 8 mile hike on the Kalalau trail!!! The menu is simple and delicious! The best part is they use locally sourced grass fed Kauai beef which they drive to the other side of the island to pick up fresh weekly I believe! They also use organic produce. I'm a sucker for a place that uses high quality, local ingredients because you really can taste the difference! I'll take quality over quantity any day! I got the double Hanalei burger and it did not disappoint! The fries were good too with the Hanalei sauce (their homemade thousand island sauce). Wish we could have tried the onion rings but we definitely will next time! The lilikoi lemonade was also refreshing and perfect. It wasn't too sweet, it was more on the tart side, just the way I like it! We both enjoyed our meal immensely and the lady who took our order was very kind and sweet. Wish we could have eaten here more but they weren't open during our last 2 days of vacation. Darn! But that's how you know they care about their ingredients because they don't cut corners just to make more money. Once they sell out, they close up shop until they can get more high quality ingredients to make those deliciously satisfying burgers! We look forward to eating here more than once when we're back next year for our 5th annual trip! THANK YOU HANALEI BURGER! WE LOVE YOU! read more

Teri burger and the service was top notch. Best burger in Hanalei, for sure! Now I'm going to type some more so I can meet the stupid character requirements for leaving a yelp review. read more

We were in the area of hanging out for a lunch break and noticed a bunch of food trucks. Decided to stop by and order a few items to share. Because I was craving a burger or meat I wanted to see what was good here. The girl who helped us recommended their most popular hanalei burger. To be honest, it was decent. Just tasted like your normal average burger. Added nice buns and grilled some patty's. Overall it passed, nothing stood out. read more

Incredible, unpretentious burgers, and insanely good lilikoi lemonade. Excellent spicy spread. The meat is quality. The bun is quality. I can't stop thinking about it! Super nice folks, too. read more

Super kind and friendly staff. Loved the location and vibe of eating outside. I saw reviews of people comparing this to In n Out, so I was intrigued. I live in CA & honestly it's sooooo much better than In n Out. Hot, fresh, bomb sauce with a little tiny spice to it, good pickles & cheese & the fries were sooo good. They were also supporting a local Jr Olympic athlete! Such a rad business. 10/10 recommend. Will probably go again before we leave. read more

Best burger i had on the island! We stayed in Kauai for 8 days but no burger i had compared to this one. The fried pickles were amazing!! The fries were ok (a little too crunchy for me). It was pretty busy and took some time to receive our order but the whole island seems pretty busy for the most part. It's a cute little food truck right off Kuhio Hwy with plenty of picnic tables to sit and enjoy your meal. read more

Hanalei Burger - Fried pickles, fries, meat patties with cheese - Food Trucks Near Me - Hanalei, Hawaii

After a long, salty day lounging at Tunnels Beach--where time slows and sunscreen becomes its own cologne--there comes a moment. That perfect, undeniable hunger. A craving not for poke, not for papaya, but for something charred, cheesy, and served on a bun. Hanalei Burger was waiting. Nestled in a parking lot framed by sunset and surrounded by a symphony of food trucks, it felt like stepping into someone's backyard cookout--if that someone had a perfect griddle, a stash of pickles, and a talent for crafting burgers that summon childhood memories you didn't know you had. I ordered mine with cheese. Simple. Classic. No need to reinvent the wheel when the wheel is already grilled to perfection. The patty was juicy, the bun soft but steady, and the pickles--yes, the pickles--were the unexpected cherry on top. Tart, crisp, just a little brash. I considered asking for a jar to go. The fries? Golden. Generous. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Everything you want them to be when you've just washed the Pacific off your feet. And then--there was the sauce. Some mysterious, perfectly balanced, tangy-sweet-savory creation drizzled with nonchalance over both burger and fries. No idea what's in it. Doesn't matter. I'd dip a flip-flop in that sauce and probably enjoy it. The staff were as warm as the grill, helpful in walking us through the menu with the kind of friendly confidence you only get when you know your food is good. Hanalei Burger isn't trying to be fancy. It's not fussy. It doesn't need to be. It's a burger joint in paradise, doing exactly what you want it to do: feeding your beach-tired body something real, something excellent, something that tastes like vacation. Eat it in a parking lot. Watch the sky turn orange. Lick your fingers. And order extra sauce. read more

One of the few spots open after 5pm! Burgers and sides are fantastic. I got a double Hanalei burger and fries and the wife got single with onion rings and we were stuffed. Great portions and great prices. Service was quick and staff were very friendly. They were busy this evening especially as they were putting onna fund raiser and we're still able to crank out amazing food. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a burger. Their house sauce is fantastic as well! read more

The burgers are good, taste fresh, but not too flashy, just a standard cheeseburger that's a bit overpriced (yes, even for Hanalei in Kauai). If the fries came with the burger, it would be 5 stars for me, but sometimes a truck comes off as a bit greedy. Even so, burger tastes good. Solid 4 stars. read more

Not a reliable food truck. They close when they want. Stay away. They say they close after they sell out. Well you need to open on the days you say you're going to be open. Unreliable business. read more

Love this family owned burger truck! Great service and REALLY good burgers! Best on the North Shore- maybe even the island!

Went for breakfast and was not disappointed. We tried the taro loco moco and mexi crunch wrap. Both were amazing. The taro loco moco was super flavorful, the taro patty had a light texture but still tasted.. meaty? I don't know, the combo of that, the gravy and perfectly cooked was just perfect. And then the mexi wrap! Basically a fancy breakfast crunchwrap supreme? Say less!! I added some of the hot sauce they had offered and it really hit the spot. read more

I was really craving a burger and stumbled across this food truck in Hanalei. It was very delicious and worth the wait. The secret sauce they put on this burger puts it over the top and the fries were nice and crispy as well. Had a breakfast sandwich here and it was spectacular. Simple, but everything was cooked perfectly.

Grabbed a breakfast sandwich from here this morning, and it might have been the best one I've ever had. Grilled, buttered bread that is still soft, crispy bacon, fried egg cooked just long enough to still ooze, bright tomato and a slice of American cheese. Made to order and definitely worth the few minutes wait. What an awesome way to start the day! read more

Burger truck that is just getting established so doesn't seem to have set hours yet but when they are open, it's so good at reasonable Hanalei prices. The Hanalei burger with the Hanalei sauce is very nicely done. Don't skip the fries and lemonade as both are also very good. Also serves a breakfast that is surprisingly very good--the tofu scramble and breakfast sandwich are both favorites with us. Definitely don't miss this food truck! read more
