Clockwise: match latte, mint tea, rainbow bowl add avocado, kauaian salad add beets
Catherine P.

While on vacation, I was looking for a healthy alternative to all the plate lunch, fast food meals we were having. Fresh bite farm to beach was a convenient food truck located in Hanalei. I ordered the kauaian salad which is a dish with seasonal vegetables. For 10/7/25 the seasonal vegetables were carrots. Wish it could have been purple sweet potato or ulu considering we are in Hawaii. But the mix and added beats for $3 was a good sweet and tangy mix (with the pickled purple onions). I loved the dish because the kale was softened by the honey mustard dressing and tart with the pickled onions. The beets were small but slightly sweetened the dish. The macadamia nuts weren't hard but added a nice crunch. I also got the rainbow bowl for my kids to share and they ended up eating the purple cabbage, avocado, and carrots off the top. The ranch was good, not ranch like but more of an herby Greek yogurt. All good combos. I also got the mint iced tea and matcha latte. The mint iced tea with tulsi mint tea had a very spiced taste. Not a fan of spice (clove/chai) flavors. Service was quick for it being busy. The lady was nice as I ordered. This was the only food truck open around 12 on a Tuesday. The rest in the lot were closed. Parking is located all around hanalei and the day we went was cloudy so it wasn't packed. The tables available are bench seats with umbrellas. There is also the bay or beach you can eat at. I would recommend this place and if you have certain items you don't like, make sure to ask about what some bowls come topped with.

Matcha- so yummy!!!

Fresh Bite is still an absolute gem of a place! This last time I went, I got the gaucho bowl (surprised?), two sides of fries (1 regular and 1 purple sweet potato) and their honey lavender matcha! The gaucho bowl was very filling- trust me, it doesn't look like it, but it's a large portion. The 2 sides of fries were also very large and we had to take them home as leftovers. The matcha was one of the best I've had while on island! This truck is pricey and the sides of sauce are $2.50 but you are paying for organic quality! I've never had a bad piece of meat or veggie from Fresh Bite - it's the freshest around.

Got a really excellent wrap for lunch and it was delicious! I love this area because there a bunch of food trucks and outdoor seating so everyone can grab what they want and sit together. Service was fast even with a lot of people ordering! Some of the wraps can be a bit salad heavy though, this one a bit too much arugula but tried a friends it had a bit variety in the toppings. Still a great choice for a nice healthy and refreshing meal!

Our order was taken quickly and our food was prepared well and quickly. It was absolutely delicious!! I had a salad and my husband had the beef sandwich!! Everything tasted divine and was very very healthy!! We also indulged in the fries and they were delicious. The house made ranch was superb! Our only complaint was the bugs and chickens but that is the nature of a food truck! If this was a sit down restaurant there would be hour waits to get in. Spectacular!!

This was the only food truck open at the time that we visited, but I would highly recommend it at any time. Delicious grilled chicken sandwich with a side of some of the best fries I have eaten in a long time. My wife had the Buddha Bowl, which was loaded with vegetables and quinoa. The sauce was delicious, though she could've used a little bit more of it. To get more, you have to buy an extra side of it for $3. Still, no complaints, and the menu has some variety for a food truck. And since that's what it is, take the food to go or eat it at one of the picnic tables, many of which are covered. They don't do a perfect job of keeping the rain off of you, but they help! Friendly staff and good food. Can't really go wrong here.

Very reasonable price compared to surrounding restaurants or even other food trucks. Meal was tasty, healthy, and filling after hard swim. Quick, too!

Buddha bowl and chipotle cheese fries
Morgan J.

The chipotle cheese fries were actually just insane. They were addicting and you could just devour them. The buddha bowl on the other hand was disappointing. I got it with quinoa, and it was just so average. It had a lot of potential, but I think it was missing some stuff. It definitely needed tofu, but also probably some more avocado and other vegetables to give it a little something more.

Well made wraps and sandwiches. Friendly service. Your food is made-to-order, there can be a wait. Easy to locate in the food truck area off the main highway in Hanalei. Shady benches and areas to take the food to consume. No frills. No refills or any real discounts for a second iced tea. Sip slowly while you wait for your food. No shade near the food truck, so many people return to their cars to wait.

So flavorful!! I have celiac and they were very knowledgeable and had a lot of gluten free options. I got the steak sandwich and splurged for the chipotle cheese fries and a mint iced tea. Everything was beyond delicious and fresh and large portions. I couldn't finish it all even though I wanted to. There was a long line (good reason for that ) but it was worth the wait.

Jurassic style fries with grass fed steak.

Food here takes a little bit longer after ordering, but it's definitely worth the wait. I got classic fries, Jurassic style with local grass fed steak. Good food and good service.

Ulu (breadfruit) fries

This was one of our favorite places to eat on the island during our week-long stay. Unfortunately we were only able to come one time due to our resort being all the way in Poipu. I got the gaucho bowl and it was so good. Husband enjoyed his 808 steak sandwich. We also tried the fries "Jurassic style" and the ulu fries as well. So good! Everything tasted delicious and fresh. Service was fast despite the crowd. Best of all I love that they use clean ingredients! Definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area!

This is a must for anyone who loves healthy food, fresh food, vegetarian options or just great tasting healthy portions. I like sushi but don't love it, and when I travel it's sometimes hard to find healthy food- this place has so many options and is absolutely delicious and the portions are generous! Had the Gaucho as a wrap and added chicken. Also had the Purple Sweet Potato fries with their homemade Ranch- so good! My daughter had the Garden Isle veggie sandwich on GF bread which was outstanding- the bread was moist and held together better than most GF breads. The truck is darling and the service was great. Very friendly, and they were cranking! A long line and we ordered and had our food within 15-20 min. The mint iced tea is better than the cold brew. We tried both, but the tea is really really good.

I think the concept is good. Execution is not there. My punch did not taste fruity at all. Fries were not crispy and chicken lacked flavor.

We'll definitely be back earlier next time. The wife who took our order was very patient while we looked over the menu since we missed out on the Benedict . From the time we ordered, it took about 25 minutes for the food to be ready . We ordered the burrito , which was really hearty and filling. I ended up sharing it with my husband. There were lots of eggs and the salsa verde that came with it was pretty good, though it could've used a little salt . The meat pieces were on the smaller side, and I think I found one piece of Portuguese sausage. We also tried the pork verde sandwich , which was really flavorful . The chips and country potato sticks were a bit overdone for my taste, but I really liked the garlic aioli . It paired well with both the country potatoes and the burrito and tied everything together nicely. Ambiance was casual and very Kauai, with covered picnic tables and the local chickens wandering around while we waited Overall, a solid breakfast stop with friendly service and we're looking forward to coming back early next time to try the eggs Benedict

Service was accommodating and attentive while we navigated the menu; they offered recommendation as well which we really appreciated it. To drink, I ordered the cold brew with mac milk. It was refreshing! Not too creamy if that's not your style. Also not too sweet - which I really liked. Friend ordered the banana bread which was good but not stand-out. To eat, we split a garlic shrimp plate, breakfast burrito, and churro French toast. The garlic shrimp was my pick and it was seasoned well. Some parts of the shrimp were a little too mushy but overall good. The best thing on that plate was the mac salad! The breakfast burrito was good but even better with the salsa provided. The star was truly the churro French toast - which is less of a French toast and more like a fried donut? Nonetheless, the sauce/cream it came with was divine and paired amazing with the cinnamon-y crispiness of the bread. A cute little spot in Hanalei worth trying if you find yourself along the north shore for brunch.

Chef Eric is truly talented and the passion for what he does is reflected in his cooking. They came into the house, worked in the smaller kitchen, and kept bringing out food that was delicious. It has been over 6 months since our wedding and our guests still talk about how wonderful the food was. My mother in law, the one that rented the house, also still talks about how they came in, cooked, cleaned up and left and you never would have known someone was working in the kitchen. We had appetizers, salads, finger foods, small main dishes and a cupcake tower all by Chef Eric. Chef Eric and Carla are locals and community helpers. There was plenty of food left over from our reception and instead of throwing it away, they donated the food to a local charity which I was very touched by. Foodland is a Hawaiian original, founded in Honolulu on 1948 as Hawaii's first modern supermarket, and continues to be owned by the founder's family. It has 31 locations across the islands, but only one is still open in Kauai (the Lihue location closed during Covid). It's kinda hidden, so would need to explicitly look for it. It's a medium size supermarket. The poke station and hot deli are located together with the same associates manning both. It was busy and crowded around that area, so important to pull a number and wait. Once my number was called, got seven different items and the associate was patient. My wife doesn't like poke, so made herself a hot lunchbox for a good price (one Korean chicken drumstick at $2.50 each; cheddar cheese tots $2.79 for 0.31 lbs; one corn cob $1.29) while I made a deconstructed poke bowl ($3.38 for 2 scoops of white rice; chili garlic crunch ahi $4.80 for 0.30 lbs; Poke fresh ahi hawaiian style $11.56 for 0.34 lbs; california style ahi $4.80 for 0.30 lbs). My favorite was the California style, with the avocado. It reminds me of the taste of a California roll. Hate to admit it, but paying for almost triple the price for fresh ahi tuna isn't worth it...the from frozen was still great as a poke.

I ordered Fresh Island Fish Sandwich at $26.95 Grilled fresh garlic buttered fish served with a lemon caper dill mayonnaise and "the works" on a toasted gluten-free bun. It was huge!
