Crazy about the bad reviews because I've never had a bad experience here. They gave me water with fruit in it, yum. And the soothing piano music and yummy smells was very relaxing. Stopped by Malibu Nail Spa around 6:15 PM after popping a nail at work (I literally work next door). They close at 7, and I only needed ONE nail fixed -- nothing major. Instead of help, the guy at the front laughed and said they didn't have time or staff. Being laughed at as a customer is crazy work. Called another salon with the same closing time and was immediately welcomed, treated kindly, had my nail fixed not even a new nail placed on just an overlay to secure it back and even booked my refill appointment -- all before 7 PM. Customer service makes all the difference. If basic respect matters to you, I'd go somewhere else. Thank you for pushing me to finally experience PLUSH NAILS! This is the only salon that I have gone to for almost a year. The first sign that there may have been issues was about 4 months into my beauty treatments with them when one of my nails broke off way far into the quick. After a few months from that point I realized that most of my fingers and a few of my toes had an odd growth under them where the nails came out, not at the nail bed. I went in, saw my regular stylist (Andy), showed him what was going on and he told me that I had a fungus and that it was probably caused by my dogs. Please know that I am 60 years old and I have had dogs my entire life and I have never had a nail fungus. He told me not to bother going to the doctor, to just put a drop of hydrogen peroxide under each of my nails every other day for a week. I decided it would probably be prudent to see my primary care provider who indeed confirmed that I had a nail fungus and that I required topical treatment. I have been on the topical treatment for over a week and I'm going into my second session with the topical treatment and these photographs are of my nails at this point. My neighbor is a retired deputy sheriff of Montgomery and he went on to do licensing and wellness checks or whatever they call them at salons and he laughed at me and said, "NO salon is up to standard and you're lucky that You haven't lost a finger ... Yet!" I don't care how many cookies they give you or FREE alcoholic drinks that they hand you, or little plastic linings that they put into the tub before you put your feet in there. Disappointed today. On more than one occasion this nail salon has disappointed . I paid an extra$5 for my daughter to have coffin nails. They think what she got was coffin. They did offer to fix them... we waited.. but he nail last had another customer.. after 15 min of waiting, we just had to leave. They should have offered a refund. And her friend paid with a gift card.. and was charged $6 to use it!? I have never heard of this!? It's unfortunate. The staff was unable to perform a simple design for my wife for her manicure before our Disney trip. Instead of asking for help to complete the task, the nail technician just gave up, stating "I can't do it", but then charged an outrageous amount for simple nail color (which was still not the best job, especially for the price). I went to Malibu Nails next to the new Kroger in Montgomery, Tx today. I had received two gift cards to this location. I do not have my nails done very often but was looking forward to today. When I went to check out I presented the two gift cards and was told that they both had expired and they would not honor them because they expire after a year. No where on the gift cards does it say they ever expire. These two cards together were worth over a hundred dollars. There should be a law that an establishment cannot just take someone's money for a gift card and then not honor it. That seems like theft. If the card had on it somewhere that the card expires I could understand it but it does not say anywhere that the card ever expires. Beware of doing business with this location. read more

Horrible! I left Lavender nails which is almost as bad as this experience to come try Malibu. They got me in quickly, I asked about a particular color and a young lady pointed at one. I said it doesn't look like the color but ok.. the nail women was pissed as soon as I said I wanted a regular pedicure which is $34.00. She set a timer and proceeded to pretend like she was working on my toenails.. it was so horrible, she did nothing? I have used this business for many services and the past few appointments they are 15-30 minutes late. Today I had an eyelash appointment for the first appointment of the day and waited for 15 minutes until I couldn't wait any longer as my day was fully scheduled. I expressed my dissatisfaction and how I needed to start the appointment on time and they offered no apology or calling the lady who does lashes. No words at all. Only went here because my normal nail salon is closed today and this is my first day off on weeks. Severely disappointed. The nail tech was rude and my simple French manicure looks like a toddler did it. And it was $10 more than my usual place. There was no option to tip on the receipt, so I am gonna assume it is wrongly included in the price. Horrible experience with this establishment. Made an appointment two days in advance for my daughter, granddaughter and I to have a manicure / pedicure. Requested child chair for 3 year old granddaughter. Told no problem. Day of appointment we arrived on time. All adult spa chairs on side of store where children's chairs are were occupied. They had not held chairs as requested two days earlier. They wanted to seat my daughter and I across the store and put my granddaughter in children's area by herself. We could not even see her from we would have been sitting so this was not an option As this was something my granddaughter was very excited about doing we decided to wait. 40 minutes later they were able to seat us all together. They had never intended to honor our appointment based on time we had to wait to be together. This was unacceptable but it got worse When they finally got to us the Service for myself and daughter was ok at best. It lasted about 40 minutes for everything for my daughter and myself. Even though the card says the pedicures alone are 30 minutes we were done in under 40 minutes. The service itself was rushed and not relaxing. Basically all they did for my for my granddaughter Was have her sit in a baby spa chair and put nail polish on her nails. She was finished I. Less than 20 minutes The cost for this service was $140 before tip. My granddaughter should have had two designs for her nails but they did not do it as they said she was to small yet they did not discount the price. Total ripoff Here is the best part, my granddaughters nail polishes peeled off in less than 2 hours. I don't mean Chipped off or smudged I mean completely peeled off the nail in one complete piece. The polish was garbage. Same happened to me on my totes by the next day. The venue is nice but the products are not quality and the service is second rate. The establishment itself is really clean and nice. I had asked to get my shellac taken off and then a new color put on. I had picked a pinky nude color. My new color was put on and looked extremely thin and clumpy. I then asked if we could add another coat so it wasn't so thin. It only continued to look even worse. My nail technician offered to redo my color and I let her because my nails really looked like I had done them myself. She then told me that I should pick a dark color since all the light colors would look clumpy and see through??? I've gotten my nails done for years and this has not ever been an issue. I then picked black and my nail color still turned out ridiculously thin looking and messy. I was there for over two hours. Super annoying and frustrating. Also I think it was overpriced. Lady was nice but I wouldn't recommend based on how my nails turned out. read more

This place is disappointing. I walked in and the lady told me to wash my hands so I did. I sat down and told her I wanted a pedicure and she walked away. I guess then forgot about me because I sat there for a while. Maybe 40 minutes. The customer service is really bad. And this place is overpriced for the quality. The man doing my pedicure cut both of my toes and hurt me really bad. The hot wax he used burned my feet badly. He didn't wait and let it cool down for a minute he just stuck my feet in burning hot wax. This is the worst pedicure I've ever had. read more

I have never in my life walked into a nail salon with 2 receptionists being so rude. I walked in, was super nice and made a joke about my spray tan hands they both looked at me like I was stupid. (Just explained why my nails were slight orange toned) one of the ladies rudely says (ok.. go wash your hands) I said Um ok. If I could give less than a one star I would...absolutely disappointed...I've been growing out my eyebrows for 2 months getting them to the thickness I wanted them to be went in to get a wax told the lady just a clean up underneath and to shape but the keep the thickness.. looked once she finished they look absolutely horrible, uneven, took off my arch one is about a whole centimeter higher than the other and thin as a toothpick. If you feel like having your long natural nails filed down to nothing, a pile of nail colors in your lap the whole service, 2 coats on one foot and 1 on the other, clumpy shellac, and gossiped about the entire time then I totally recommend you see Trisha and Susan. The manager clearly saw I was upset during the service when he asked how things were. Then again at check out when I explained how poor things were he just took my card and said we will put you will someone else next time.
