I used to live in Montgomery and had been to this salon a couple of times for a pedicure. I came back into town for a wedding and decided to go back to get my bridesmaid nails & toes done. I did a French tip shellac on my real nails because I don't like acrylic or anything that will weaken my real nail. It was very relaxing as usual and they were joking around with me when is it my turn to get married. Little did I know at the time that my bridesmaid nails were also going to be my engagement nails!! The shellac stayed on my nails beautifully for my vacation & engagement the following week. It didn't chip at all the whole time I kept it on my nails, I lasted about 3.5 weeks before taking it off because my nails were getting too long. This place always does a great job with my nails, so today I got a face wax as well. At the time I thought I was just feeling the normal discomfort but when I got home 10 minutes later, it was much worse. I will continue to get my nails done here, but no more waxing. My boyfriend and I have visited this location twice. We love all of the services provided. Only drawback is that he asked for pedicure, wax, and a manicure. He had to remind the staff of what all he needed before he left. Today he did not get the manicure that he asked for. But when they do a job, they do it excellent 100% beautiful. my toes and my nails have come out beautiful and exactly what I asked for. They were great with an ingrown toe. And fixed it for me. Pretty great nail salon. If you have a picture they will try and match it as best as they can. I have been a few times and have been pretty satisfied. The first picture with the clear nails broke while I was at work - and they happily cut them down for me with no issue. The second pink/white photo was for my birthday and they did not quite get the pink/white how I wanted, but it still turned out ok. The third photo were the nails I wanted for my birthday - I just did not get the sunflower design quite like I wanted. The young man did my last set (the yellow nails) and I was pretty pleased except he kept reminding that if I go shorter I cannot go back long which I know that. I felt like he kept chastising me when I wanted them shorter. I also did not like the comment he made towards the very end of my appointment when he said "people that look like you normally not as nice as you. You very nice" - I was very taken aback and offended. Overall, great place to go if you are in a bind. Their pedicure massages are AMAZING!! I was severely injured by a surgeon and have great pain in my left arm and hand and they take time with me and do not twist or move my arm/hand quickly and I can relax getting my nails done there. Ms V.V. Is new to Gossip nails from another place in Montgomery nail salon and that place lost a amazing woman that can do a pedicure better than anyone I have ever went to. She's the only person that makes me relax going to sleep in the chair. The owners are wonderful and I owned a salon many moons ago and I know the rules about how the tubs and tools etc are suppose to be cleaned etc and they are the best around that I found that follow all protocols. There might be a few that I have not tried in Montgomery but I am sold on Gossip Nails. I read some negative reviews about Gossip saying bad things about Nicole the owner and let me tell you that woman works so hard and running a business and having employees and a teenager she's Super Woman to me! It is not easy in this industry by any means as I know personally and not only do I want to relax but I do not want to get a infection like I got from another place which is closed now. That's how I found Gossip Nails and I will only go here as I never want to go through the pain and antibiotics I had to take cause of that other place. I was referred to that other place and I went twice and the girl cut my ingrown bad and my toe swelled up like a balloon and had to go see the foot doctor. He said the nail salons keep him in business. Well I never went back to that place and I tried several places and was not impressed and I watch everything on tools and cleaning and some I made excuses and got up and left as no way were they going near my feet nor hands with tools I didn't trust. Eh. Not thrilled. I might give this place another chance but I don't know. My nails are the right shape, but the tops are uneven... So one side of the nail is longer than the other. The polish also doesn't cover the entire nail. It's missing on the sides, top, and uneven on the bottom. My pedicure was ok, but the heel callus removal and massage was really half assed. Like almost no effort went into those. I regret paying the extra money for them. read more

I'm actually surprised at how messy my nails are. I'm new to the area and chose Gossip because of the good reviews they have. But I won't be returning. These pictures were taken today. I wish I would've taken pictures right after I had them done 3 days ago. The cuts are finally healing. He didn't clean out under a few of my nails, so there's built up acrylic. I finally got the left over nail glue out from some of my nails. Nails aren't the same length, some are longer or shorter than others. It's been 3 days and some look like they will need a fill already. There's gaps where the plastic tip wasn't glued onto my nails properly. Waste of $50. I'm giving 2 stars because at least the place was clean. But I don't recommend. read more

This place was great! As a native montgomerian, I have see a fair share of nail places in our small town. Although they were busy, I waited for less than 60 seconds before it was my turn. Lin was professional, nice, and made sure I approved before continuing with each step (shellac). I have had my shellac for a week now and it still looks brand new. My husband and I went for the first time about a week ago and I felt rushed from the minute we walked in - there were two people working on me and one lady on my husband. I could not get in the place I normally go to. For a mani/deluxe pedi with foot and neck massage at my usual place - I am there normally close to one hour plus. My husband and I were at this salon maybe 30 minutes. After paying $133 for both of us, I realized the next day two of my nails were buckled and appeared to have "bubbles" under the gel which was way too thick. There are several nail spas to choose from in Montgomery that offer comfort and quality with fair pricing. However, this is not one I would recommend to visit, due to the less than exceptable customer service. I visited the spa to have a full set of solar nails $45, a basic pedicure $27 and an eyebrow wax, none of which I felt an exceptional service was rendered. I will say the basic pedicure was exactly that, a basic pedicure. So if you can have this service at a cheaper price you may want to. The eye brow wax service was performed with no pre-wax lotion nor post wax lotion. Which resulted in the skin being extremely dry and red after service. The full set of nails were done very quickly. He was in an extreme hurry, and performed an extremely basic service. I usually appreciate a fast pace but, this was a little obvious he was looking to get on to making his next $$. He left the service by saying "ok go wash your hands" he never returned, this all would be ok if the nails were exceptional, but they were not. We had prepaid and tipped 20% which could be the reason he didn't return? My friend that visited the spa with me and shares this opinion of this spa. read more

I didn't have a good experience at Gossip Nails. I went in to get a full set of acrylic nails for a very important occasion, my son's wedding. The nail tech cut my cuticles too short to the point they were bleeding. Not once but 3 times. Then she informed me there would be an extra charge for cutting my cuticles. As she was painting my nails, she asked if I wanted shellac or regular polish. I asked for regular polish since I didn't think you could do shellac on acrylic nails. She used the regular polish but dried them under the fluorescent light. I thought that was only for shellac but I'm not an expert so I guessed it was another way to dry my polish. I went to the counter to pay and politely asked the person at the counter if he had a bandaid or tissue since my cuticles were still bleeding. He apologized and put some liquid stuff on them to help with the bleeding. More than likely I won't return. My polish was smudged and my cuticles were healing for my son's wedding. read more

I moved to the area in March. I have used this nail salon 3 separate times because it's at the front of the neighborhood. All three times they were rude. My final straw was when I asked for black tip nails(for Halloween), and had maroon on from their prior service (4 weeks prior). They were pissed that I would go from a dark color to tip nails to the point that I felt bad for even asking. Then when I said "it's ok, let's just take them off instead and do a clear manicure". The guy slammed his stuff down and went to another employee, who came and asked "what's the problem", very rudely. I explained I wanted black tip nails but since I didn't come with a back up plan I just want a clear manicure and then I can come back later in the week. She said they could do it for me. The guy was extremely rough after that and did not speak to me the entire service. I felt like it was my fault for wanting something other than a refill of the same color I had. I went back today, bc I'm all about the convenience of it being at the front of the neighborhood. When I walked in the lady asked "you gonna do black tip again?", I said "no, I'm gonna do a dark color all over". She said "Sorry we are too busy today". Done. They are so rude. read more
