So I had to recently look for a new wax place because I just couldn't keep going to my previous person (distance issues). Anyhoo I found the wax den through high ratings on here and just went with whoever was available at the time I needed for a Saturday. Jay came up as the waxer available and so I just waited for my appointment day. When the day came I got there a smidgen early, but she was just waiting inside and said come on in. She instantly put me at ease and was very easy going. She also used pressure on the areas that she had waxed in order to soothe that ferocious pain. It is a very lovely place and Jay is one of the best around. Now I had started this review about a year and half ago and somehow forgot to post! Didn't think I'd ever go, but then I did. It was super easy to make a same day reservation online. Erica was very pleasant and was able to make the experience worthwhile. The location is a little difficult to find at first, and the buildings don't have good signage. Arrive a few minutes early and you'll figure it out. The inside was clean and comfortable. I stopped by because my wax girl was busy, I am so happy I found this place because it's close to home. While my hair was a bit long, I knew this was going to be painful. However, the wax was not too painful. it was nice. I guess I've tried multiple wax's before. Taj was very nice and welcoming too. The only thing that hurt was that she started from the inside so my hair was getting really pulled and I'm used to them starting from the outside in (not sure if that makes sense :D) I will definitely return :) read more

This place is heaven-sent. When I tell you about my first was I was so nervous! First of all, everything was so fresh and clean. From the waiting room to the bathroom to the individual suites. Erica was so professional. She answered all of my questions and talked to me the whole way through. Of course, getting a Brazilian wax hurts. But having an experienced tech makes a difference. Look if yall walking around with a fuzzy peach go check my girl out. I was extremely apprehensive about going to get this done, bc of all the horror stories I've heard. This by far was the best experience. I walked in it was a single bed in the room very intimate, clean and organized. She introduced her self saying im Tahmara etc. After I told her it was my 1st time she immediately began telling me exactly what to expect during the process. She was totally accurate . As the waxing took place she continued to educate me and engaged me into fun conversations. Most importantly she never made me feel awkward. We were jamming out to Jasmine Sullivan. Literally found this place on accident, when another waxing salon cancelled my appointment last minute and i was just desperately messaging other businesses on yelp to see if they could squeeze me in extremely last minute. By the grace of God i found the Wax Den and even better, Erica was able to fit me in that same day within a few hours. They have such an efficient check in process to make sure that the studio is thoroughly cleaned before you come in, which is a must during this COVID-19 pandemic! The service itself was quick, thorough, and painless.
