I stumbled upon this place by accident (meant to go next door but they were closed on a Sunday.)…read moreThe people here were very welcoming and had exactly the car we needed - the only problem was that it was the first car we saw. So we did do a lot of other car shopping and some research into the car we liked here, and I will say that in the end, my daughter ended up with a great car at a fair price. Everyone here was willing to work with us and the car has met our expectations. I would recommend this place for sure!!

Let me offer a little financial education wrapped inside a story and review because what happened…read moreat Capital Auto Sales was a masterclass in "Buyer Beware 101." We looked at a used 2011 Audi with low miles that was labeled a "Great Value" online via CarFax. Fun fact: those platforms base their ratings on local market listings, not true vehicle valuation. Translation: if ten dealerships all overprice their cars, the least overpriced one magically becomes a "Great Deal." It is basically the best of the worst award. The salesman seemed friendly enough at first until he learned we had our own financing. Suddenly he avoided eye contact like the truth was physically painful. Those were absolutely not the words he wanted to hear. And that is when the "FUN" math party started. Most credit unions follow a 125 percent loan-to-value rule which means they will only finance up to about 125 percent of a car's real verified worth so you do not end up deeply upside down the moment you sign. When our lender pulled the actual numbers using industry standard data, the car's true value came back at about $11k. Not the sticker price. Not the market hype. The real valuation. So a car worth $11k has a maximum safe loan amount somewhere around $13,700 total. This includes tax, title, license, and fees. That is the cap. Period. Capital Auto Sales, however, wanted us to pay several thousand dollars more than that...and was bold enough to ask us to put money down to pay for their markups. GASP...THE NERVE! When our credit union refused to fund the inflated price, the salesman suddenly rolled out an entire menu of preferred lenders who would be thrilled to help us overpay. You know the type. The ones that would probably finance a cardboard box with wheels if the dealership slapped on a protection package and called it "premium." Yes. Those. At that point the math was mathing. Once you know the real value of a car, agreeing to pay way above that would be financially irresponsible. No amount of awkward explanations or other lenders could change basic arithmetic. To make matters even more entertaining, they also tried to slip in junk fees and a questionable "APEX Protect" package which was really just an aftermarket tracker for their benefit...disguised as a necessity. None of it added value. All of it added cost. This is not business. This is bad business. Buyer Beware truly applies here. Capital Auto Sales relies on customers not understanding loan to value rules, true vehicle valuations, or the tactics dealers use to mask inflated pricing. If you shop here, go in with your eyes wide open. Better yet, go somewhere with ethical practices and transparent pricing. Protect your wallet before their deals empty it. We walked away educated, not defeated. And if this review helps someone else avoid overpaying by thousands, then sharing it was absolutely worth it.

Before selling, the car was generally clean and vacuumed, but not detailed. When I filed to sell the vehicle with CarMax online, I felt like the top-rated self-appraisal "like new" condition was the most accurate, even though there were the tiniest blemishes on the vehicle if you really looked for them. I was very happy to see that CarMax, after looking at the vehicle in-person, evidently agreed, since they told me they would buy it for the online appraisal estimate price. The process was very easy and straightforward.

In less than two months, I started noticing the steering wheel vibrating when I was driving at high speed on the highway. I took it to a mechanic, and he told me that the tires were cupping. I called Carmax customer service, and we set up an appointment. I showed up at the place right on time. The guy in the customer service department couldn't find my name in the appointment list. Later, I learned that they've set the appointment at the wrong location. I tried to set a second appointment, but the guy behind the desk told me that there would be a fee charged for the diagnosis. I told him that this seems like an inspection issue, because the cupping tire issue is not something that could happen in a period of two months. But the guy behind the desk seemed completely unconcerned and didn't even bother to listen. I could tell he was clearly trying to get rid of me so he could go back to his things. My car is less than one year old, and I have only driven it for two months, and I am already spending money on it.

I stumbled upon Dennis and his business online and the whole experience was fantastic. We gave him a call and he gave us a very fair and competitive price quote. Everything sounded like so great so I confirmed and he said that he'd be there in 25 minutes. I expected him to be late but he was there before 25 minutes as promised. Promises are hard to keep when you're busy but Dennis seems like a business owner that holds true to his word. Talking to him on the car ride to my mechanic, it seems that Dennis prides himself in customer service and always has a positive outlook. I work in the customer service industry myself and I was highly impressed. As a result, I personally recommend him for any roadside assistance needed. On our way to the dealership Danny offered me bottle of water and made me feel really comfortable. I want to thank the driver and the dispatch for being so helpful in such a difficult situation.

He listened to my needs, provided entirely stress-free solutions, and aligned every option perfectly with exactly what I was looking for in a car. Remarkably knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about getting to know his clients to deliver the best customer service. The entire staff is friendly, looks highly professional, and acts professional. On top of that, both the dealership itself and the car were completely pristine and clean. Amazing job! Based on those conversations, I drove about an hour to the dealership, trusting that the information I received was accurate. When I arrived, George was not available, and another representative assisted me. To my surprise, the numbers presented were completely different from what had been discussed. The monthly payment was significantly higher, and none of the agreed terms matched our messages. I felt misled and that my time was not respected. I made the trip based on clear promises that were simply not honored. Because of this experience, I decided not to do business with this dealership and ended up purchasing my vehicle from another Honda location that was transparent and consistent from the beginning. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience.

Outstanding Sales & Admin Team, but Service Department Needs Major Work…read more I recently purchased a 2024 VW Atlas from AutoNation Honda, and my experience was a tale of two very different departments. First, the bright spots: The sales and administrative team were fantastic. My salesperson, Kavveh "Kevin" Azizsired, was absolute class and made his part of the process seamless and smooth. Ms. Lynh in finance stayed connected with me throughout the whole transaction; while financing through my own credit union took longer than it should have to finalize, she stayed on top of it and got the job done. Additionally, Ms. Delilah in titling was exceptional, her communication was proactive, and she made sure my license plate transfer went off without a hitch. Unfortunately, my experience with the service department completely overshadowed an otherwise great buying process. Four days after buying the car, I noticed severe, uncontrollable shaking when braking on the highway. I called to get it checked out, but after being bounced around, Ms. Lynh and Kevin stepped in to help me get a 7:30 AM appointment for Wednesday, July 1st. I arrived promptly at 7:30 AM. After sitting in the waiting area working remotely for three and a half hours, I realized no one had updated me. At 11:00 AM, I went looking for my assigned advisor, Ryan, who wasn't at his desk. A helpful female service advisor noticed me, stepped up (even though I wasn't her customer), and tracked down Moe from service. Moe was honest with me: my car hadn't been touched in 3.5 hours. Moe took ownership, took the car on a quick test drive, confirmed the rotor issue, and expedited the repair. However, between waiting for the work to be finished and getting checked out, I didn't leave the dealership until 1:30 PM. I spent a total of 6 hours sitting in the waiting room for a rotor resurfacing on a car I had owned for less than a week. My laptop battery died, and I lost nearly an entire day of work productivity watching other cars come and go. Bottom Line: Go see Kevin, for buying a car, he will take great care of you. But management severely needs to address the scheduling, communication, and workflow breakdowns in the service department.

Instead of taking responsibility for their own mistake, Chris, the salesperson, and Mohamed Lakkis, one of the managers, refused to honor the signed agreement and canceled the deal after already accepting my payment. This is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of integrity and professionalism. I honestly don't understand how a business that treats customers this way continues to stay in business.
