Sorry but this place was a big thumbs down... the lanes are super narrow and the lane we got was bumpy and uneven you could see the slow balls turn when they were supposed to go straight etc. the only good thing about this place is the bar but a heads up, the beer sucks. First timer experience: This place was packed in a Friday night around 9pm. Filled to the rim with ghetto people. Service was extremely behind and it was a challenge to get a beer within a 45 minute frame. The only food I tried was the artichoke dip. Way too salty. Not surprised, but still thought I should note it. The bowling was on a 1 hour wait. Once we got our lane, it had technical issues. We flagged down Kayce. She is the ONLY positive thing about this place. Kayce got a lane dude to look into the issue, it still didn't work so she moved us to another lane. I wanted a refill on my Stella. Asked some dude in a blue shirt, nothing. Asked another dude in a shirt practically begging for another beer wanting to give my money to someone in exchange for alcohol. Nothing. Again, KAYCE, promptly delivered. Long story short. It was very frustrating to have a group of adults go out who are all busy living lives and wanting a night out. Some young "manager" attempted to salvage the experience through our bills, but we will absolutely never return. Terrible. read more

Not impressed! My sister and her kids were in town and wanted to get the kids and adults together. We decided on main event looked online and it was $14.95 a kid for all you can play from open until 5 PM excluding a few thing. Sounded like a good deal met up at the Tempe location and go up to pay and were told they had a private event starting at 2PM. I asked if there was a discount since we were only getting approximately 2 hours of play instead of 5 and of course it was NO, pay or leave. Since the other location was about forty minutes away and kids were exciting we gave in. Again we looked on the website before going and no mention of private event and closing at 2 PM. At least offer a discount or an apology. That was the first and last time we will go to Main Event! read more

Tried to bowl with the family on lane 24 and kept having problems. Yes they fixed them each time but not without seeming like we were a burden. Customer service was poor at best and the young lady helping us needs an attitude adjustment big time. Won't be back. read more

Pizza had to much cheese. Also we were confused on how the pool table area worked and someone explained that it cost money to play, so we went to the bar and asked the woman where to pay and she gave us the balls and told us that we were good, this let us to believe that maybe the person who explained us that it cost money, was wrong. While we were playing another workers came up to us and told us we couldn't play cause we didn't pay, he did it very rudely with an attitude, he said "it's not free" very rudely. I felt embarrassed because I was unsure on what was happening. It was my first time at main event so how was I supposed to just know. Yesterday, I took my son to Main Event in Tempe. We got there around 3 pm and it wasn't packed at all. We walked in and someone greeted us right away and directed us to the bowling shoe station. The place was clean, and spread out, so not crowded. The cashier informed us of a Spring Break special going on, which included the following from 1-5; unlimited Laser Tag, Gravity (this tightrope walking maze they have), Pool and Bowling (separate charge of $3 for shoes). So we bought that. We also purchased a game card, which they offered a deal of $65 worth for $50. Was cool to get that considering the games are sorta expensive ($1.50-$3 per game). We had a technical difficulty upon retrieving the card after the purchase, but they got tech support on it right away. No prob. Laser Tag was real fun, games were fun, but expensive. Bowling was great! Food and drinks were pretty good. Staff and service was great. Overall experience was good, especially seeing my son so happy there. I'd go back again, but only during specials because they're kind of pricey. read more

Stopped in at main event for some monday night madness to get down on some unlimited bowling, laser tag, gravity ropes and video games. It took a few minutes to be greeted at the counter but once we were it was all good from there. William and the yall young man with curly hair were awesome and very accommodating. The bowling was super fun and decent service right there at your lane. Food was comparable to Applebee's or chilis and ok..laser tag was kinda funky in terms of bo smell but fun nonetheless. We all usually go to Main Event if we want to do anything fun with friends or family. Today my sister and her friends were at Main Event having a good time. They went to go eat and their waiter was very rude, from the start but they just kept being polite and had smiles on there faces. When the waiter bought over there drinks he spilled all the drinks all over her friends phone and his clothing, her friend didn't mind at all but the fact of it is, is that the waiter never apologized, all he said was people make mistakes and had a attitude and walked off. When the waiter came back her friend asked to speak with the manager. The manager walked over and he acted like he didn't care either, her friend was still being polite and told the manager he could have at least apologized. The manager then said "well I can just give you a $5 game card." Her friend then said "no thank you and said I would like a apology sir." The manager than said no. After he said no repeatedly her friend said "okay I would like my drink for free please". the manager then said "oh I see what kind of person you are" and her friend than said "I am not any kind of person it's just disrespectful when someone doesn't apologize for something that they did and than to act like they did not care. Especially since he spilled it all over my phone and possibly damaged it, I'm not asking for you to pay for that I'm asking for a apology". The manager than said "you guys need to leave or I will call the police because we are fearing for our lives"!! Her friend than said "If I was going to do anything I would of said it or done something by now but I didn't, I just want a apology sir!" The manager than again said, "I am going to call the police if you do not leave". What gets me is that how are 16 year old kids going to make you fear for your life? They are good kids, weather they are at home or in a public place because they all know better. All the kids wanted was a apology and his worker should have apologized as soon as it happened. The service from the front desk is probably the worst, the girls were all chatting by the side and it took them a while to realize they had a line. It was really annoying, the experience was pretty great no doubt, the bartenders were awesome as well as most of the staff at laser tag and gravity. They only have one person in the bowling area so when our lane stopped working it took about 15 minutes for it to be fixed although it was a quick fix it was annoying to wait for help. The first impression is the most important and unfortunately they failed, they are great in most areas but the bad service at the front desk really stuck with me through out my experience. read more

Best experience for our family! Came here to escape a storm during our vacation to Phoenix. Had a blast here with a group of 16, ages ranging from 5-55+! Mark at the desk was exceptional and gave us a lot of value for our money and was great with all the kids. Anthony was our server and he was so attentive and on top of our many, many orders. It's completely packed to the brim with little kids all night long to closing and your only option is to sit among them waiting until the laser tag and bowling are available. I've been there on a Friday night and most recently a Saturday and each time we were told it was a 3 hour wait for bowling, over an hour wait for laser tag etc. The first time i went a friend had ordered a drink and it took them about 40 minutes to get it, they also ordered food and never got it at all, this last time we ended up just leaving right away and asked for our money back. It's just a shiny Peter Piper Pizza, definitely not for an adult outing and I don't think I'd bring my kids here either just for the fact they have such terrible customer service. read more

I have many friends who swear by this joint. Sure it is an institution in the city and the Bowling atmosphere is great but the servers are all rude and there is no customer service what so ever. I don't think I have ever seen a server smile once. I will say the bartenders are friendly. That's about it. I have bowled here at night and made the mistake of being talked into going here for another time. What a joke, a good place is not defined by whether or not the serve booze. I couldn't be happier with my experience at this location. My boyfriend won two 25 dollar gift cards from a work raffle but they weren't ringing up correctly for some reason. Despite it being a super busy time the woman helping us (I wish I remembered her name) went all in to get us taken care of and still balanced the crazy busy line that piled up while helping us. When the problem eventually needed the manager, Mike came over and went above and beyond in taking care of the situation. He even went as far as personally handling the rest of the transactions, walking us over to our bowling lane, getting a sever set up for us, and kindly thanked us for our patience. We also played laser tag (we're in our 20s but who said big kids can't have fun!) and the lady running the round made so many jokes and got so into making it fun for the kids that we played with. It was a pretty cool thing to see. The only concern was how service was handled in delivering food at the bowling alleys. They were swamped but it seems like communication could be improved between the kitchen and severs - delivery time took awhile but the food was delicious and worth the wait. read more

I had never been here and I was so happy to have decided to go. I went on a Friday from 12-7. They are doing an amazing deal currently that lets you basically do just about everything for under $20 a person. You can't beat that. And did I mention it runs all day?!! The service up at the front desk especially, is always so great. John, who I believe was the manager, was so helpful and nice. They have pool, bowling, arcade games, laser tag, you name it. Don't get me wrong, theres alot of options and fun things to do and a wide variety menu. Love that, but it is very chaotic, which should be expected becsuse they're busy, but too much for my little ones to handle. It's also quite pricey, you pay almost 60 dollars for 4 people to bowl for only an hour, with about an hour wait, and the lane conditions are not for good bowlers, which my husband is. The time arcade cards are a weird concept, you can play all The games but get no prizes, wish they did a special for the games that include prizes. The staff was okay, the food was okay, no serious complaints but not my go-to for bowling. read more

Are you kidding?!? The new pricing structure is ridiculous... $9-10 per person per activity (e.g. Laser tag, gravity walk, etc.). Bowling is a separate charge and us charges hourly; the hour starts when you sign in, not when you actually start bowling. Food is priced at mid-level ($12-15 per plate) and all of their "craft" cocktails contain "fresh sour." Out drinks sat empty until we ran to the bar (multiple times) for refills. I hosted my company's holiday party here. I booked on a flash sale. The events team was awesome to work with and accommodated all our needs. Thank you Ashley! We had unlimited billiards, laser tag, bowling. Every employee got 2 drink tickets and $10 to the arcade. In addition, we had a BBQ style buffet. The price was within my budget so I would highly recommend having any occasion party here since there is so much to do! read more

Went in to get the entree & game deal. Waited by the host stand for a long time and no one came to check on us or help us although there were many employees around playing pool, on their phones, and talking to eachother. We went to the area where you purchase bowling and had to wait while the employees finished their conversation and stopped looking at their phones and asked them if we were just supposed to seat ourselves. They told us yes and if we sat somewhere that someone would help us eventually. We picked a booth, one of the few clean ones left, and waited a very long time until finally a server peeled herself away from her conversation with another server and came and got our drink order. At this point, we were already ready to leave but told her we would take waters. After watching her go right back to her conversation with the other servers, we left. Really good deal, but not worth the horrible service. We will pay more at Dave and Buster's where they will at least acknowledge that we are there. read more

I was here for a birthday party. We all wandered off, but a group of us sat on the tables in the dining area, and 30 minutes passed by. During this whole time, the bartender looked at us multiple times but did not choose to ask someone to serve us. We finally decided to ask someone for help.. Like a messenger, she went to the bartender and came back and stated, "Sorry, our kitchen closes at 11." Please keep in mind that she said this at 10:40, after sitting there since 10:10 with absolutely no one helping us. Occasionally my son (10) and I stop through to shoot a few games. We both grab a strawberry lemonade (they add some sort of purée) and some fries to munch on while we're calling pockets. Today he opted for the sliders which we had to slightly negotiate with the waiter to have it come out with lettuce and onion as well. I ordered the chicken nachos, as soon as they came out I wished I had ordered something else. The appearance was off putting and the cheese and stale chips weren't any better. I feel like I had better luck in previous attempts but I believe they may have changed the item. In addition to that I think there was a birthday party and a high school class trip there as well. I'm not oppose to them playing and enjoying themselves but there has to be some sort of order and it was almost as though the laser tag had spilled over into the bar. None of the staff seemed to notice only my son and I as we paused not to get our sticks hit ever time we attempted to shoot. I know where I'm at, I'm not one of those sour folks but come on Main Event you can do a little better than that. read more

I truly wish i got the employees name that harassed, and was blatantly sexist to me and my friend. every other employee, other than this man, was incredible and attempted to make our experience great. the employee in question refused to speak to me and my friend directly because, "we are women, and he only respects men". He made threatening sexual advances and made us feel extremely unsafe. he then proceeded to threaten to pull out his penis. i truly wish i could give this place 5 stars because every other employee was incredible but I cannot look past this experience. I have never felt so unsafe and discriminated against in my life. i would never wish this experience on anyone else and i hope appropriate action is taken on this matter. The experience I had here was TERRIBLE! My mother in law paid $180 for our family to do UNLIMITED bowling. We got the wristbands and everything. Then after one hour they kick us off because other people are on a "waiting list" to bowl. The staff did NOT say that would happen if there was a waiting list. I don't care, my mother in law just paid $180 for ONE flipping hour! We tried to speak to one of the managers, Jim. But he just wrote it off like it was no big deal and got in my cousin's face when he was asking about us being kicked out. He LITERALLY got up in his face. Jim's behavior was very rude and unprofessional. He should be fired in my opinion. Don't waste your time or money with this place. They'll just screw you over! As far as the whole place goes, it's not a 2 star review, this is directly for the bar. Even when there isn't that many people around the bar you still have to wait forever to get a drink. The prices are pretty steep as well. Last night I was there and had been waiting to be served and instead of helping me and all of the others at the bar, the employees were having a whipped cream fight. Just when I thought it couldn't get much worse, the manager came by to take my drink order. I think his name was Casey or Cory or something with a C. He was the biggest asshole I had ever ran into as a server. I asked what they had in bottles and he just said "a lot" and that was it. Really dude?! That's so helpful. The MOST horrible service ever in the bowling area. Got to our Lane and waited for one of the servers to come take our order. After about 20 mins of waiting and still no server, I had to get up and flag one over myself. She came over, took our order etc etc. After waiting an hour, yes an HOUR.. and not even our drinks had come out but yet seeing everyone else around us getting their food, I finally got up and asked her about our order in which she insisted that it would only take a few more minutes. Okay, understandable. Maybe they're a little backed up in the kitchen? Who knows. Anyway, after about 15 more mins of waiting she comes over to our table and says "I'm sorry, but what did you guys order again?" Uhhh are you kidding me??? I proceeded to tell her and she tells me to just come with her to the register where she puts in my lane number and come to find out there is NO order even inputted into the system under that lane. I asked her if my order was even put in and she assured me that it was and that somebody else probably took my food by mistake. She told me that it would only take 10 mins at the most and everything should be out. At this point, you can imagine how irritated I already am but I go back to my table anyway and continue to wait. Finally, about 15-20 mins later, the food comes out. I ordered the blt Cobb salad and she looks at me and says, "oh, did you need silverware?" Why of course not. I was actually planning on eating my salad with my fingers. Like really????? Took her another 5 mins to bring over the silverware and by this time, I honestly lost my appetite. I have never experienced such awful service before. For the amount of money I spent there today, I expected way more. That experience alone is enough to make me not return. Btw, the garlic fries are disgusting! They came out practically soaked in oil and looking like they were 3 day old fries that they reheated in the microwave. No thanks! read more

Such a terrible waste of time :( I have suffered through a personal outing here with friends and then again for a company event. Because of the slow service, rude and un-attentive staff, LONG wait times to bowl or do anything really... Dozens of people from the group started leaving in huge waves. Too bad there's not an option for zero stars. Went there for the first time and it'll be my last. Ordered a chicken sandwich and part of my sandwich was undercooked, so I sent it back. The kitchen manager came out and loudly explained in front of my large group how I was wrong and the pink color was from their marinade and they temperature check everything. How come the rest of my sandwich was white? I asked to speak to the manager and I told him how embarrassed and disrespected I felt. He was apologetic but it didn't seem genuine. We had to walk back and forth to the bar and to order our food which was very cold.
