We went to check out Main Event on Saturday for a friend's birthday. I had never been. In a nutshell, main event is a one stop shop for a fun family outing, an exhilarating date night, a birthday party (for children or adults), or just a spur of the moment place to stop and grab some food. Main Event has it all! There's a sit down restaurant, a pizza counter, a bar, a full arcade equipped with all of the latest and greatest games. There is laser tag, bowling, an obstacle course that is situated above the arcade, billiards, shuffleboard... &I would not be surprised if there are some other activities I forgot to mention. Needless to say, there is something for everyone! The staff is friendly, the service is great. The pricing is fair. &Considering all of the action taking place inside that building, I was pretty impressed by how low the noise level actually was??? So you can sit down and have dinner with your family & friends & still enjoy yourself without being bombarded by pure chaos. That was a plus for me! The food was great! The prices for food were in line with the overall quality. I got the burger tacos (sorry I forget what the actual name was) & fries because that sounded very "off the wall". It was delicious! I made the right choice. Their jalapeño ranch is crazy good, I highly recommend getting a side of that. We also split some fried pickles, and they were incredible! I was very impressed by the meal. Wrongfully Charged: * The bartender Roy G. at Main Event in Tempe, AZ ran my card for someone else's tab, incorrectly charging me $72.44 for four beers. * I brought this up to multiple team members, all of whom were extremely unhelpful and largely unresponsive (Event Sales Manager Lucy Lopez, Events Coordinator Evelyn Miles, and Assistant General Manager Steven Bockbrader). Awful Customer Service: * They ultimately failed to resolve the issue, flat-out ignoring me for months and only replying to falsely claim they'd look into the issue further. * Aside from not refunding me, they were unable to find my actual tab, which my bank said I needed to file a dispute. * If I called, they'd put me on hold for extended periods of time, once for over an hour. * The team was rude, disorganized, and showed no empathy towards me. Bad Value and Overall Experience: * Everything was overpriced (the arcade, billiards, food, drinks, etc.). * Many of the arcade games were broken or poorly maintained (for example, the basketball game had a flat ball). * The arcade and bar were dirty. Service at the bar was slow. * I'd recommend going to Tilt Studio or Round 1 rather than Main Event. Came here after electric pickle was closed for an event. Several games were broken and took our money. My daughter is 42" but they still turned her away from the human claw machine. It took 20 min for a server to come to our table and bowling was a 2.5 hour wait. This place is lame. read more

Went to the Main Event for a work function a while back and had a great time! There's bowling, Lazer tag, arcade games, obstacle courses, pool tables, darts, and lots more. Great selection of appetizers and a bar for drinks (with non-alcoholic options). We had a few people serving us and they were helpful and friendly. It's obviously catered for a slightly younger crowd, but there was plenty of fun to be had by all who came. The Lazer Tag arena is a must in my book! Went here with a meetup group and it was decently fun. Played a couple bowling games, moved our food and everything to the bar area by the pool tables. I was a little disappointed that someone came and threw away all of our food while we were playing pool and returned our bowling shoes. We were just shooting pool and they cleaned our table that still had food on it. Other than that this place is ok. The bowling lanes seem a lot smaller than what they normally are (Width wise). We like to bowl at least once a week, usually on Mondays and thought we would give this location a try. Its overpriced to start compared to other bowling in the area. We had NO drink service the entire time. Not one server covering the bowling area. The place was clean and it looked like they had a good menu but since we were paying top dollar to bowl for an hour and a half we didnt want to break away to order any food. When making our reservation on line, we were forced to pay for shoes we didnt need since we have our own. They wouldnt refund us when we arrived, just made us take a credit toward future purchases. Over time, we've accumulated a lot of points, but when we browse the prize room, we always decide to hold out for something on the higher shelves--giving us a reason to come back again. While we haven't tried the food, we've noticed they offer pizza and frequently host kids' parties. On this visit, the atmosphere was livelier than usual, with many children running around with whistles, which made the experience a bit louder and more distracting. Additionally, we encountered more game malfunctions than usual--issues like balls not dispensing, targets failing to reset, and a jammed coin/card machine. It took some time for staff to assist us, as they were also handling situations where kids were reaching into machines for prizes. Overall, we give Main Event three stars. We do enjoy coming here, and while game issues aren't typically this frequent, it's not necessarily a go-to spot for us since we don't have kids and usually only stay for about an hour. This place was awful, and honestly deserves no stars. My date and I reserved a lane to bowl for an hour. In that time we completed one game; ONE. Our lane broke down 3 separate times and it took ages to get back running. They couldn't switch us to another lane because they were full. There was only one poor server for the entire bowling area and he couldn't even do that job because he had to keep fixing broken lanes. Apparently they had a few people call out if work. I felt really sorry for the kid. We weren't able to order any drinks or food from our server. Menu is pretty standard crappy bowling alley food so I wasn't too upset about that. We became rightly frustrated with everything and just ended up asking for a refund. The "manager" upfront said "well you guys did play a full game". Yeah, one game in an hour for 2 people! He ended up refunding us after the attitude. Very unprofessional and no actual apology. One star for the bartender who did serve us in a timely manner and was nice and also for the poor overworked server (also really nice and apologetic). My company decided to host a post-holiday work shindig at this location. Overall, the atmosphere is fun with various activities - laser tag, arcade games, bowling, skyline contraption, etc. We were a bit disappointed the game cards only went until midnight and didn't work later on. Additionally, the beer and wine selection as part of the drink tickets was very limited (no blue moon or much choice in wines besides red or white). As well as the food was only served for a little over an hour. It was a fun night, but definitely think there are other locations we can visit in the future. I had an awful experience here. Every single game we tried to play ended up breaking, while we got the game points back on the card we didn't get to keep any of the tickets we won. I swear the entire time we were just going up to the maintence to get games fixed or points back. When we told the manager Eric what was happening he told us it was normal and didn't seem to understand the problem and told us to just keep coming back up to get our points back on our card. Overall it felt like disappointment after disappointment and then a rude manager with lack of any concern or hospitality at that. We were so excited to try this place and unfortunately it's a one and done. We purchased gaming cards and half the games we wanted to play were either clearly broken or any time we swiped our cards it took the credits but then came back with an error and we couldn't play. Next we did an hour of bowling and holy over priced. But probably the best thing we did. Drink service was SO slow that during the hour we only ordered one round. Finally we went to have dinner at the bar. We ordered an appetizer which didn't come out until our meals. The chicken cesar flatbread sandwich had, I kid you not, 3 tiny pieces of chicken. I had 2 bites and was done because frankly it wasn't worth eating. One of our meals also came with the wrong side. We pointed it out immediately and 25 minutes later, we still didn't get it like the bar tender said so we just cashed out and left. Insanely disappointed and do not recommend this place. We normally love it here but last night half of the games were broken or just not working :( for example at one of the basketball games we swiped our card and there weren't any basketballs even inside of it, a couple of the motorcycle racing games were broken as well as some of the skeeball. They do have really fun games and the candy choices for the prizes are great. The service at the bar is always great and quick. It's a fun place and has a family friendly atmosphere. I've been to this Main Event location three times, and every single time, the employees have been so incredibly rude, like just flat out mean. They act like customers are stupid, don't smile, and offer zero customer service. I even witnessed an employee at the prize booth make a kid cry, just wow, completely unacceptable. We paid $46 dollars to bowl (for two four year olds, seriously?) and the entire hour we were there no server came by to take our order for food and drinks. For how expensive this place is, you'd expect better treatment. Clearly, there's no management presence what so ever, or if there is, the managers are just as miserable as their staff. If the employees hate their jobs so much, maybe it's time for a career change. This location seriously needs to step up its game. read more

There were about 3 more families waiting ahead of us. I'm disappointed in management as he didn't go and try to help? At least get orders or something. Last night was mine and my boyfriends date night we arrived @8:56pm to bowl we were given our shoes the lady at the front didn't welcome us just looked at us in confusion, she didn't say hi how are you or anything i approached her as if i worked there. i asked if someone would be by to serve us she said yes. about 9:15 i noticed no one came by to ask us if we needed water or were going to order food. @9:30 we finished our first round of bowling and still no one had came by. i was furious told my bf told him we needed to leave this isn't how we should be treated, mind you the place wasn't busy and let me just say three other parties showed up to bowl they were served within minutes. i walked past the serve looking very mad and she knew exactly why! poor service and a rude staff we been here before never had a problem but tuesday march 3rd 2026 was not a good night we went to have dinner at a restaurant near by and enjoyed the rest of our night being treated the right way. we are good tippers i even left the bar server $2 bc we asked for water but decided to leave. at the time i didn't ask to speak to a manager bc i would go off on them. i am someone who works in customer service and i would never treat my customers like this any of them! the management obviously doesn't care bc they didn't come by to check on anyone bowling as well. read more

We visit Main Event multiple times a month and absolutely love the atmosphere! I have three kids ranging from 6 to 13, and there's something for everyone--from arcade games to bowling to laser tag. We had a birthday party and wanted to do some bowling. The price showed $40 but the cashier said it was $50. They told the manager and he did nothing about it. Then we got to the lane and it was broken. It took 30 min to fix. Once we got done with our time, we wanted to extend it an hour and they told us we needed to get on the waiting list. I've been here many times. My friend gave me a summer pass to play bowling, laser tag and more. I like to bowl with my new bowling shoes. Lanes look cool all light up. Food is decent. There wasn't enough servers last time and one girl was serving all the lanes. She was great. It was empty on a Sunday morning. Got busy later on. I've also been here for company events. This place can get loud for anyone who is sensitive to noise - this would be the place for earplugs. Games are more fun to play with a friend or waste a hot afternoon. read more
