Maybe you shouldn't be doing notary when you are signing documents with a pen under customers required signature and not following state law! You potentially could be reported to the state! You are dealing with customers papers that are real important and you are not doing it correctly! You completely ruined the important document my dad needed! If I could give this business LESS THAN ONE STAR, I literally would. This has literally got to be the WORST customer service I've received - almost ever! I usually go straight to FedEx or UPS but this place was right around the corner from where I live, so I decided to support the small business. The man that works there was SO RUDE. I was shipping a Kitchen Aid mixer back to the company and I'm 7 months pregnant. I had my toddler in the car so my husband carried it through the door but the box was too small to fit on their counter so he left it by the front door. I needed tape for my box as well. I politely asked if I could have help and also that I needed to tape my box. He rudely stated he did not provide tape - okay, understandable. I asked if I could purchase tape - rudely stated that they do not. Okaayyy "Mail Station".. I started to say that I would take the package elsewhere then, it's an expensive package so I don't mind - as long as it arrives at it's destination safely. He told me that he would provide tape THIS time. Alright, well - if you're going to be so kind as to help tape my box then why can't you be kind all the way around? He ROLLED HIS EYES when I asked for help carrying my package even though I'm visibly very pregnant and the box was big & heavy. I told him the shipping label was already prepared and in the correct spot on the box. Instead of looking to where I said it was placed, he loudly assumes I put the shipping label on the inside of the box... so, he clearly was purposefully not listening to me. Once he gave me the confirmation receipt, I walked out literally in awe of how rude someone could be. This able-bodied man literally sits behind this counter doing virtually nothing, but providing kind, simple & basic customer service is apparently VERY DIFFICULT for him. So, in summary: - They do not provide tape nor do they sell tape. - If you are disabled, elderly or pregnant and need assistance with your package - prepare for an ugly attitude from the man that works there. - Prepare to be seen as an inconvenience to the man that works there the second you walk in the door and have your package 100% prepared so that you don't need help with anything - not even the label. I will never support this business again.. the extra gas to drive elsewhere is worth it! :) read more

This is an almost hidden drop off station very close to our house. We needed a notary to give authorization and fond this place since it was very close to us. The lady at the register helped us a lot from beginning to end. She was very meticulous attention to detail and explained to us every step with patience. Also, she informed us how we can do the apostle and read us a document then give a copy of instructions. We got everything done perfectly. After a week or so we had to send a registered letter and return receipt. She was helpful and guided us with the best and cheapest way to send. Overall, we are very satisfied with this location and we will use this station from now on for air postal needs for sure. read more

We have used Mail Station for the past 6 years with our drop offs and I cannot commend their service enough. They have saved us miles of travel with their service, not to mention the $$$'s it would have cost us to drop to Fedex.. Yes, we donated a couple of dollars each time as they do not get compensated for this service. They only get compensated when you ship through them. Our labels were already applied to our boxes. Today I dropped a box off and met one of the new owners "Don" What a fun and pleasant man he is. Even though he told me there is no charge, I still gave a donation as Mail Station does not make any money from boxes already labelled. Drop in and say hi to Don and support this business. Visited this little shop twice last week and don't have any clue why there are so many low-star reviews. Prices are jacked up because this ISNT the post office, guys. That's not exactly fair, but hello, you're paying for convenience. That being said, the employee we interacted with was professional and friendly. Went for BF to get the Livescan fingerprints done- price was a hefty $71, but the price is set through Livescan to cost $51 and the location charges a fee of $20. The California Medical Board provides a list of locations to use with their fees, which are usually $10 or $20- the site itself gets to set it at whatever they want, which is fair. While waiting for my BF to get scanned into the system, I browsed around- the place is a little weird, with several racks and displays of additional products to purchase, but the products themselves do not look new or current, and are not organized. There are a few rulers, some scissors without packaging, a random wallet, some keychains, a vintage-looking box of crayons, etc all with a random price sticker on it- not the bargain prices you'll see at the Back to School sales anywhere else in town, but random numbers like $1.60 for the crayons, which are off-brand and waxy or $16.50 for the random wallet that could plausibly have been left behind by a customer. Weird stuff, y'all, but not the material of a one-star review. While we were being helped, several customers popped in and out who seemed to be regulars, dropping off or picking up mail or packages. Maybe you have to be a regular not to get charged, but none of the people stopped to pay a fee. Sounds like that may be shady, but the act of charging a fee is not unheard of- especially for convenience, and these are low. read more

Bought stamps and envelopes here. Got charged almost twice the price for flat mails. The old guy said "you are the toughest customer I be ever seen." He gave the reason "you have wasted me so much time." (I was there for ten minutes writing up the form/to for five envelopes. Talked to him for less than one minutes regarding the format since they are international mails.) This is the first time I went there since it is within walking distance. Won't go there any more. And definitely don't suggest. BTW, there is a sign saying "credit card accepted if over $10". However stamps doesn't count. I don't know if it practice everywhere. read more

I will never go to another mail shop again! I love the lady who works here :D She is a life saver in so many ways and she does it all!!!! Passport photos, printing labels, finding boxes for odd shaped packages, checking all the options for how to ship??? She has it all handled. Also, I just like her personally she is warm and friendly and funny too but at the same time she is really good at her job. Regarding price,I find her very affordable compared to other places and she is way more helpful and friendly. Can't recommend her enough! Tip: There is another shipping spot on St. Creek and Winchester and I avoid that place because the woman there is very rude and doesn't like helping. Def don't go there! OVERPRICED. DISHONEST. AVOID AT ALL COST. I was shopping for groceries in the same plaza and thought to stop by to pick up some stamps. I wanted 3 books of 20 forever stamps and was quoted a total of $36. That's $12 per book of 20. The Post Office sells them at only $9.80 per book. That's over $2.20 surcharge PER BOOK (almost 25%). I asked the clerk how much each stamp was currently worth and she gave me the ambiguous answer of, "They're forever stamps." Then I asked whether they were charging a surcharge for the stamps and how much was the surcharge. The clerk said, "Yes, but it's just around $1." Really? These people are downright DISHONEST and SHADY. I walked out. read more

Stopped by here trying to avoid driving to the Kiely post office, but for some reason everything here is almost double the price of what it normally costs to buy stamps/ship items. I wanted 2 cent stamps, which they charge 4 cents each, and had to ship a small package (under 2 lbs) priority mail. I was quoted $10.00 to ship the package, even though USPS has a flat rate fee of $8.10. Understadably small businesses need to make a profit, but I felt like they were trying to rip me off. After driving the mile and a half down the Kiely to ship my items, the USPS only charged me $5.70. read more

Stay away! So many reasons why I won't go to this place again. First, they won't accept USPS, FedEx or UPS packages (despite their multiple signs on the front windows) unless you buy the packing supplies there. And they are so rude if you ask. BUT, the most recent issue happened today. I went there for passport photos and got two. More expensive than anywhere but convenient so I did it. Went to get my passport and the photos were turned down because I had a headband holding my hair back. The man at the store who took my picture never said this is an issue. I went back to ask them to retake them and the woman said it was my fault and pointed me to their sign. I clearly stated I was turned down because of the headband and she kept telling me it was my fault because of the sign which says NOTHING about a headband (picture here). She said they would retake pics for 1/2 price. No! Not my fault so I left. Never entering that place again. Stay away!!! read more

Two of them went out same day as expected and arrived at the destination the next morning. The third one did not go out same day, despite the fact that I dropped it off at 3:15pm and specifically asked the woman working there if it would be picked up by FedEx same day at 4pm (she said yes). I got double charged on my credit card. The lady works there was nice, and good attitude to me. She tried to make my passport photo clear, but it is not clear, skill issue. That's OK I am not a handsome guy. However, i got double charged on my credit card. I only saw her swiped card once, how come it was double charged? Call my credit card customer service to get money back. 5 stars for good attitude, -2 stars for double charged. read more

This place is dishonest and shady. It's ok for prepaid fedex drops but if you try to ship something they will finess the scale and have a premium price. I was shipping a package to Korea and asked them to check the prices for usps and fedex, whichever was cheaper. They told me that usps would cost 200 but fedex was 235 but includes insurance and is faster. I took the fedex option , then the following day I had to ship out an exact same package and thought I would go directly to post office, the price was 70 dollars plus 20 for insurance. The weight was also 2.1 lb instead or 3.5. This made me realize they must have had a guy press down on the scale infront or me cuz there's two of them. After all this I got skepticle and went to fedex store, they advised me they don't sell insurance for international shippin. Not sure what it was I purchased through the mail station. I have been a customer for over 8 years here and love the great service, 24Hr access and dependability. Before coming here I tried 2 other places. The first closed after 6 months. The 2nd moved to a new location a few miles away after a few months and then moved again to a much further and inconvenient location where after a few months they closed without notice. I just showed up one day and they were gone. The point is having to stop mail deliveries and contact banks, friends and family and companies etc to update a new mailing address is a major pain and time consuming. When looking for a new mail store I really wanted one that would not be moving around or closing and the reviews for mail station indicated that it had been at the same location for a long time already. That was 8 years ago and its still at the same location and delivery good quality fair dependable service. I am very happy with the Mail Station and would recommend it to anyone looking for a mail box location. read more

I usually drop off the packages from UPS, but this once I had my wife drop off a package for me. She chose to use the Mail Station because she happened to be in the plaza for other stuff. I had sent my wife off with a pre-labeled, pre-paid, pre-packaged, and pre-sealed UPS package. When she dropped it off there, they had the nerve to ask for 1 dollar to process this, when doing nothing. This service is free everywhere else I have been to.
