Loveeee this place! So laid back. The food is awesome. While we were in town for a week we kept coming back. We have had mozzarella sticks, burgers, pizza, sandwiches, salad and the spaghetti & meatballs. All dishes were yummy!! The staff is also so nice. We will always come back here when we are in town. Magustos is a great place to go and hang out while drinking a couple beers. However, the sign says Friday $5 appetizers and when we got our bill we were charged the full price!! When we confronted the waitress she apologized and said "I am sorry, I was supposed to tell you that it is only one appetizer that we pick for $5." Unfortunately, the three apps we picked were not on their list tonight. We came in thinking we were only going to spend $15 and we spent $30. Not much, but when you live on a ski bum budget, it all adds up. Fix your sign please or fix my bill. read more

Nicky's Quickie was closed an hour earlier than Yelp said and they told us to go to this place. Went reluctantly (really wanted a gyro) and did not want to go to what looked like a dive. The black and blue burger was to die for! Hit the spot. The bartender was super helpful and friendly, telling us where to go for dispersed camping about 3 miles up the road. Giving a 4-star because this isn't a place I would go again, but definitely satisfied. read more

We originally stopped in Minturn for a different restaurant but was closed so as we were leaving town we saw this one and said we'll give it a try, huge let down. I asked right off the bat if the iced tea was fresh brewed and Armenta, our server, said yes....it's not so strike 1. When our food was ready he brought out 1 plate at a time with my plate being last but only after everyone else had theirs for a few minutes, strike 2. My husband asked for cheese in his sandwich and guess what? None....strike 3. We also had a burger and asked for it medium and it came out well done. Armenta never checked on us and we had to flag him down for refills even though we were the only table in the place. I sat and watched him on his cell phone pretty much the entire time we were there and I thought with COVID wrapped straws should be used or gloves? He took our glasses for the refills and not sure if the same ones were used, afraid to ask. Won't be back. read more

We "accidentally" ate here because the restaurant we had been referred to was closed. We were pleasantly surprised. I had the California burger. It was cooked perfect with fresh guacamole and thick strips of bacon. I thought it tasted great. Everyone else enjoyed their pizzas. They were much larger than expected. The toppings were tasty and plentiful and the crust was thin and crispy. The pizzas were great value for the price. Zoey,our waitress, was very friendly and attentive. She added to our fun evening. Nice garden side salad but if you order pizza by the slice, they have obviously made a pizza in the morning, cooked it all the way, then when they add your toppings and bake it again, the crust is hard and dry as a rock. read more

One of the worst meals I've ever had. We almost left based on how long we waited for a server to take our orders even though no one was there. When the food finally came everything fried was insanely greasy, the fries were cold and the appetizer came out after the food. I sent the cold fries back and am pretty convinced they gave me the same ones back based on how drenched in oil they were. Would never, ever go back. read more

We love this place! We have been coming here for 5 years now. It's your typical mountain restaurant bar but the food is amazing! We have yet to order anything bad and we have always had great service. Kid friendly with pool table and arcade games. Outdoor patio for great outdoor dinning. read more

Apparently they have dumped the lame staff or retrained them. Fair has changed from Italian to Burgers and Pizza (smart move.) Prices are a bit high for what you get, but then its Colorado Ski Country (tm) and you can expect a good bending over at any other place outside of Minturn. There are vids, entertainment games, and some fooz. Machines seem to be well maintained when I was there, punch-a-game was a bit pricey IMHO, but then again I don't play them much either. Food, good. Staff, good. Company/owner climbing the local ladder from poor to good and hopefully heading to 'great.' down the road. read more

Unexpectedly delicious! Stopped in here for a lunch after a work meeting in Vail. The town is adorable and Magustos was great. Start with the fried pickles - crispy and juicy. For your entree avoid the healthy stuff. There is debate among our group over whether the burgers or the Ruben are better. Try both! read more

My husband and I went here for lunch. We were told by the bartender to take a seat anywhere so we did. We sat at the table for 10 minutes before getting a menu. The waiter said he would tell someone we were here We waited for another 10 minutes and still no service. The waiter walked by us a few times and he didn't stop. They weren't busy other then at the bar. We walked out because of the great service we received. read more

I have to say, I feel some of the other reviews are wrong. We were in Minturn for the big bike race and went to a party that was fed with Magustos pizza. I am not a fan of a thick crust on my pizza, and had been led to believe this was the case here. No! The crust was thin, and crispy, the sauce good, light and not just Ragu'y. The toppings I chose included a sausage with other toppings, and one that must have been a cheeseburger with burger, red onion and pickle, which worked for me. My wife really liked her pepperoni. I have to say, when I want a pizza in the Vail Valley I am going to look at Magustos as my go to choice. The prices for a pie are really good, the pizza is great and they deliver. This combo makes them worth a call or a visit. read more

Good pizza! Crust is nice and crispy, though a wee bit spicy (for my taste, just too much pepper).

The pizza was not bad, until you got to the crust. When we ate that by itself it tasted like bleach. We also had clam "strips." There were a few strips, but the rest were more like clam crumbs. The service was okay. read more

I can't speak for the restaurant environment itself because I have only ordered for delivery, but the service and food are so good. Tonight we ordered in and let them know we were getting the cake for a coworker's birthday and they sent a long a free tshirt with the food! First time the wings were fantastic, although my friend and I got upset stomaches. After 3 months of refraining from magustos, I found out that they deliver. Thinking ild give them another shot, I got wings and a salad. It took around 2 hours for delivery, but they did warn me before I ordered that it'd take a while, which I'm appreciative for. Once the food arrived, the wings were cold and bare with only sauce on the side, and the salad was terrible. Lone behold I once again got an upset stomach. Would not recommend to anyone for food, unless you want to get sick. read more

I think this place has one of the best pies in the valley. They actually leave the seeds in their jalapeños so they have a real kick to them, not just the pickled kind. They are open late with two billiard tables and a soon to be ping pong table. Nice, relaxed local scene too. Not so crowded with drunk people that they're stepping on your shoes. read more

In town for the week, hit Mugustos 2 times for beers and something to eat. Night 1 pizza (Mcdabbin), onion ring, hot wings and a great local beer (nut brown). All were great. Night 2 hot wings and beers again. Ordered hot and they were the perfect heat, hot but not numb your lips hot. Had a great waitress named Kristen who took care of us. read more

We were visiting from out of town and wanted an easy meal after a long day of travel and found a coupon to this place on restaurant.com. We got a large Meatza Pizza for $10 and were not disappointed. The pizza was hot and piled high with toppings. The crust was crisp but didn't have much flavor. Overall, we liked the pizza and you can't beat the price with the coupon. read more

Tried this place twice. First time had the club sandwich. It was pretty good. The second time I ordered a pizza, jalapeño poppers and a house salad. The pizza was cold and very unappetizing. The jalapeño poppers where also cold. The house salad was the best part of that meal. Delivery also took 55 minutes. read more

I am a loyal customer at magustos - best bartenders, best food, and best atmosphere in town. Highly recommend :) and was also there the night they had their huge Halloween party - to the man who left the review about getting kicked out for drinking water... he probably should have mentioned he was belligerent and not being served for that reason. And was kicked out because he was found behind the bar stumbling and pouring himself a water during one of the busiest shifts. They did what they had to do! He was a mess. I love this bar read more

Sorry to say it but this place is wacked. Pizza is not good at all. Yes we went during the slow season, but the water cups where filled with some white film crap and we asked for clean cups we were brought more dirty ones. There was hair baked into the meat on our pizza. Just keep driving if your looking for good food. Waitress was nice though. I would have given it no stars if I could have. read more

Me and a big group of guys were staying in Minturn for 5 days on a ski trip and we drove right past this place each day to and from the slopes. A few of us decided after a long day of skiing that we wanted some pizza and since we were exhausted (and the other half of our group headed to a different resort for the day) we decided to venture just down the street to Magusto's. We were not expecting anything extraordinary, but we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered 2 pizzas (house special and supreme) and both were excellent (especially considering we were in Minturn)! It's New York style thin crust...the cheese, sauce and toppings were all better than expected but the crust was really the standout. The atmosphere was just ok but I'm rating it 5 stars based on the pizza and considering where it's located. We'll definitely be back when we're in town next year! read more

Magustos is constantly great pizza and good bar food. Love the buffalo chicken pizza. And don't miss the deep fried ravioli.
