Early dinner with my son, daughter-in-law, and 3 young grandchildren. We stop here every year (for last 3 years) after skiing at Beaver Creek, on the way home to Silverthorne area. It was 10pm, and I just saw an awesome show in Vail! My hotel was nearby, but I had no options for late night food. Enter this restaurant! With a lively bar, plenty of fun games, patio, and plenty of food options, this place was my savior. Eric (or Erik) was fantastic and got me going right. Had the Texan Impossible burger and fries. So tasty, with a full mix of toppings, tasty BBQ sauce, and fried onions. Open until 2am means a lot more when the cooks are working their butts off late into the night. Ok Sorry about the rating to start with. I'm a little surprised that it had 5 stars but maybe we are not just lucky? Yesterday we ordered pizza and roast chicken wings in Buffalo sauce. Those were a miss. The pizza was so soft and doughy. I tried the chicken and it tastes so bland so I had to dip it in Buffalo sauce that might help and well luckily it did. I would give 4 stars on their sauce on that. It's just bad that if you choose not to dive on the sauce then you're eating a not appetizing chicken :(. These made me decide to write my review as I'm so disappointed. 1) Fish and chips ? - you're like eating a heated freezer burn fish. It's that bad. It's sad 2). Calamari- I tasted more not fully baked flour that the squid. It's not crispy but a gooey calamari. I only had 1 bite and stopped 3) Pasta with meatballs - I did not dare eat it after my husband said he doesn't like it and he stopped after 1 try. Meatballs he said is at least not frozen and freshly made but the taste is nothing special. The pasta sauce is a bleh for him. So sorry my heart bleeds with this review but I just couldn't take it. But I've never tasted any of the food as all orders were for the nurse station at Vail Health Hospital where my husband stayed for about 10 days recently due to a skiing accident. Delicious pizza! We ordered one cheese pizza and one veggie pizza while staying in the small city Minturn. Delivery was about 30 min or so. Not bad at all, that is about how long I usually wait for pizza anyways from pizza chains, most of the time longer. I am a big fan of veggie pizzas in general, so out of the two choices, I definitely would recommend the veggie. Was loaded with lots of goodies, everything tasted fresh, and the crust had a nice crunch to it. Both of the pizzas were delivered hot and ready to be eaten by a group of incredibly hungry people. Man oh man did we enjoy that delicious pizza! There were some slices left over because the pizzas were so huge. Also, when people are very hungry, they can exaggerate how much they can eat sometimes. The hubs and I met some friends here 6 years ago on our way to Parachute. As I am always hungry, we planned to stop in Minturn to revisit Magustos. It's off the beaten path, well priced (especially in comparison to all the restaurants in the surrounding areas of Vail etc), and as we remembered, has pretty good Za! It was almost empty inside (we arrived around 3pm on a Friday), so we sat on the patio and ordered a couple of beers, pizza, and mozzarella sticks (I have to order mozz sticks any time that they are offered). Obsessed with this place! I went on a trip with my boyfriend and a couple friends and we stayed in an Airbnb in Minturn. We all got food together one night and it was amazing. The pizza was delicious and they have great drinks! My boyfriend and I went back several times during our trip to get cheese fries and drinks. It was funny because the bar tender/waiter remembered us and didn't card us, what small town vibes! And it's not TGI Friday's. This is an old bar/restaurant in Minturn Co. not NYC. Your server will not have too many pieces of "flair" on their uniform. I understand Magustos to be one of the more popular pizza joints in Minturn. I am a hard to please pizza eating New Yorkers so I have some biases. The pizza was decent but was slightly greasy, I had to soak a ton of grease off my pie. My cousin loooved his burger. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Magustos has a hefty selection at the bar and tend to get very busy. They offer great tasting beers and have a cool patio area to eat outdoors when the weather permits. While traveling from another state I decided to order in from a hotel because this place was recommended. Word from mouth. I was excited to try them. Started off with a pretty rude man over the phone sighing every few often when I was trying to order from the Yelp menu, which is not updated, as he mentioned. After an hour waiting we received our pizza and fr ied ravioli. They sent parmesan cheese on the side but it was completely hard and the plastic container was melted. Pizza was not that delicious as the person mentioned it is their most popular pizza. Would not recommend anyone here.
