Let me make sure we preface, we are FAITHFUL to Blue Moose and have it very often as we are in Beaver Creek. This last visit wasn't too busy on a Sunday night, and our normal Autumn pizza (sautéed mushrooms, Parmesan garlic, truffle oil, olive oil, and goat cheese) was as disappointing as we have had. We live by the fact that there is no such thing as bad pizza, but there can be severely lacking pizza. We took this pizza as our offering to a large gathering at a home in Beaver Creek. We were sad to see the pizza (pic below) had no more than 5 slivers of mushroom on half the pizza. We checked the other pieces on people's plates, I would testify that there were no more than 3 total mushrooms, sliced, on the whole pizza. The truffle oil flavor was completely absent (this has NEVER been the case) and honestly it was very disappointing. My hope is that it's a one time issue, but for the money...we felt just awful about our offering. There was another mushroom pizza there from another couple and it's my thought that they sliced 35 mushrooms on the pizza and used truffle oil as well. This isn't about 1 place vs another, but it's our hope when we go back soon that they have figured out their issues. Blue Moose is an institution, the $50 we spent that night was awful, we felt like we didn't get our money worth and it breaks our heart. I was supposed to return Sat night but we opted for another spot due to this bad taste in our mouth, literally.

We were fortunate enough to stay in the center of the village, so the distance was an easy walk and our food was piping hot when we arrived. The staff was super friendly and the environment had mid to los lighting with some music. Now onto the important part, how I rank the food. Margherita Pizza - 8/10 The margherita pizza was well prepared. It was a lot saucier than I would prefer on my margherita pizza and also didn't feature the tomatoes that some restaurants will implement, however, the flavor of each ingredient was still distinct and made for a really good tasting experience. The crust had a balance between soft and crisp and wasn't too thick. Buffalo Wings - 8/10 (not pictured) The wings were a good size, spicy, and coated in sauce. The takeout container they put them in allowed them to continue to be coated in the sauce which made for good overall flavor. The only downside is that we only got one container of ranch after asking for extra ranch. Caesar Salad - 9/10 The salad was super fresh and had a great balance of the shredded cheese, crisp greenery and the dressing was also very well balanced. Overall, if you are looking for an easy meal that is satisfying with great customer service - Blue Moose would be a great stop.

Came to Blue Moose Pizza and it did not disappoint! Raheem's suggestions were everything and then some. I had a vodka sour with a slice of "The Big Moose" and my girl had an old fashioned with a slice of "The Autumn." Definitely hit the spot and even took a refill Togo! I had lunch here with my friend after walking around Beaver Creek. We shared the large spring pizza (pesto base with artichokes and tomatoes) and also had moscow mules. The pizza was delicious and we had leftovers to take home. They have a lot of unique pizzas on the menu and also fun cocktails. I tried ordering the frozen aperol spritz but they were out. Most pizza places in Pennsylvania don't have alcohol (thanks PA liquor laws), so it was cool to be able to drink and eat pizza at the same place. Food prices are high, but it's Beaver Creek so what do you expect, I guess? $35 for a large pizza. Our total was about $65 before tip for pizza and the two drinks. Service is average. Can't say much for ambiance in here either, but hey I guess it's just a pizza shop. We tried to order takeout here later in the week and it was a 2 hour wait for pickup on a weeknight!

Classic spot and one of the more affordable places to eat in Beaver Creek. Honestly their corn dog meal is a go to for us! We've also tried a lot of their pizzas and enjoyed them. Service and ambience are good. read more

This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in Beaver Creek. The pizza was disgusting -- STONE COLD greasy, flavorless, and poorly prepared. We couldn't even finish it. For the high prices they charge in a resort village, the quality is completely unacceptable. When I went in to complain there was literally no one there so I had to leave and call to complain. the General Manager not only dismissed my concerns but actually hung up on me mid-conversation. Zero accountability, zero customer service. Do not waste your time or money here. There are far better options nearby. read more

I'm a local. Let's start there. I love this place. Last night, I was a nanny for children in Beaver Creek. They had three 18inch pizzas, 85 dollars, two with pepperoni and one with cheese. How embarrassing for this place to serve this pizza! I would swear it was made earlier and then reheated as it was burnt, tasteless, and dry. The person taking orders for the pizza was also, apparently, rude to the parents placing the order. I don't know. Calling this a way off night. Not what I am accustomed to at all with this place. (I should mention it was to go and picked up at the restaurant.) read more

Well...we used to RAVE about this place and I was so excited to post this review of this place as my last review of the year. Man...we were sorely disappointed. Granted, I got food poisoning from them the last time I was here. That was the time I had the truffle in the pizza. Can happen anywhere but I was ready to go to the hospital. But anyway, hubby went to the window and order wings and pepperoni pizza. Wings were overcooked, we got all drums and instead of pepperoni pizza we got ham and pineapple. Like, why, Universe?! Why?!!! Pineapple is a big NO for us on pizza. Tried calling, no answer so here we are, on New Years Eve with the worst dinner since we arrive in Colorado 2 months ago. Crowded and understated. Last year there were more staff and they were serving drinks while waiting. This year? Pfft. Nothing. We won't return. read more

This truly "Italian" style pizza was fabulous, the type you would get in Italy (different than "Italian-American" style pizza of New York City). - Love that you can order slices before 5 pm, giving you an opportunity to try their innovative creations. - Would not recommend the tomato soup, a staple on the menu. It is NOT homemade and below average. However, would highly recommend the homemade tomato soup at the nearby T2 Restaurant. ~ read more

If you're at Beaver Creek on a budget hit the Blue Moose for a late lunch or early dinner during Apres Ski hours and take advantage of their specials. read more

Stopped in for their lunch special this week while in Beaver Creek. Can I say that I wanted to go back the next day? The one piece and drink for $5 is the best deal and is just the right amount of food for me. I asked them to cook the slice a bit longer than normal and it came out perfect! Everything was delicious. We had the bruschetta & pizza. The crust is fresh & crispy. The flavor was perfectly blended on both entrees we ordered. Visited Beaver Creek and this was in Vail Village. Lots of delicious choices in Pizza options baked fresh and brought to your table. Also lots of on tap draft choices as well as bottles and wine. A perfect place to wind down after skiing or in between. During our stay in the area we visited twice. Once for lunch and the other time to grab a bottle of wine and sit by the outdoor fire pits near the rink. I would highly recommend visiting their pizza it was delicious! read more

Casual pizza spot at the base of beaver creek mountain. If you are looking for upscale this place is not it, but pizza and beer is always good post skiing. Oftentimes there is a wait but they will move you quickly and often is not as long as they quote you. read more

Perfect Spot for younger crowd in Beaver creek. Stoner music after 8:00. By the slice before 5:00. But will split 50-50. Decent value for the area. IPA on draft was squeaky clean. Good service. A welcome respite from $50+ plates. Would return. read more

Lots of employees standing around. As many as 7 in a single gaggle. Service was slow and lackluster. No visible management present although there were 3 men who didn't do anything (I assume manager and assistants). Appetizer was good pizza was average at best. No sauce and lots of grease. I probably wouldn't return. Sad because it's a very nice atmosphere. read more

This place hit the spot after a long day! The crust was perfect, beer was cold and our server was great at making recommendations! He knew the menu inside and out, pretty impressive as it was his first week on the job! (Thanks Stephen!) Ps. If you go between 3-5pm you can get a beer & 1 topping slice for $6. We purposely tried to dine early to avoid the dinner rush, when we arrived there were only two other tables of customers so we figured we would receive excellent service. Well, we were completely wrong. One server and four or five other workers standing around laughing, ignoring us, and/or playing on their phones. We almost got up after waiting 15 mins for our server to take our order but decided to wait it out. Our server finally came to our table and took our order, I ordered a draft beer and patiently waited, after 10 min my wife went up to the group of workers and asked where my beer was, one employee said "oh yeah, we will bring it out shortly". The really sad part is the food was good but the customer service was the worst we've experienced from all of the restaurants in Beaver Creek Village. Management needs to make some changes to improve the service end of the equation read more

LOVE this place and so happy to be back. Eneas - thank you for your wonderful service! On a visit this week one of the staff passed around postcards for kids to write on and offered to put a stamp to mail for them. What a lovely touch! Always good pizza and a crowd pleaser. We tried the hawaiian pizza today and it was terrific. We also liked the margherita pizza and tomato soup. Broccolini was delicious but portion really small. We love that after skiing we can come here for a reliably good dinner. Come early for no wait. Always happy to come back. read more

Blue Moose pizza originated in Vail Valley's Beaver Creek Village in 1995. Over the past 20 years it has expanded to Lionshead Village in Vail and New Braunfels, Texas, serving the same great NY hand tossed pizzas to pizza lovers across the country.

The pizza was below average, the service was poor in fact horrible. We tried to receive and pay our bill twice long after being finished with dinner and were verbally abused by the manager who came from the back. After his sad cashier guy refused to cash us out and started the trouble. The manager or owner was an irate crazy little man who came out of the back with a head of steam and yelled at us to leave, all because we got tired of waiting to receive our check and pay our bill so we could leave. He kept shouting at us " Do you know who I am" over and over, like I really give a rat's ____. He screamed at us to never come back continually hurling insults at us as we left and getting physically way to close following and stocking us outside of the restaurant in the village, The place was literally deserted we were the last customers of only a few so we could not understand why he was so aggressive, disrespectful to us. His over the top aggressive hostility to get us out of there. What is he doing or hiding back there? Why was he so insistent we leave? We have been coming to Beaver Creek for years and have always found the people, vendors and restaurants friendly and hospitable until this experience with this pathetic little owner/ manager man. I refused to leave until paying my bill. His server at his request finally took my CC and added to the insults. The location in the village It may be convenient being but stay away for your own peace of mind. The food is certainly not worth it, and who ever that crazy imbecile manager/owner is, continued to stock us way beyond his property perimeter, staying only a few steps behind us shouting at us at close range trying to intimidate us, following us down the village stairs and threatening us is not worth coming into contact with in any way. This guy is a true nut case and presents a true threat to any customer. I feel sorry for his employees observing his despicable nasty behavior and having to work for him. Apparently the horrible attitude rubbing off on some of them. They can do much better elsewhere. You don't need to take a risk that ahole is there lucking in the back. read more

Here at BC on vacay, first night someone recommended this for great pizza and a quick bite. When we walked in the hostess was rude and then we asked how to order to go, she said the bar. We waited and waited but the bartender wasnt coming over. We said something to the manager and he had a snarky remark to my dad by saying shes busy. Well there were two people at the bar she just finished a phone order and it wasnt busy in there. She came over said hi and i told her we wanted to place a togo order, she said she was busy and would be back. Then we waited and waited she ignored us and just opened wine bottles. Its the next day and we decided we want to try this pizza and called to order and pick it up. I called, it rang for almost 10 mins, i hungup and did it again and nothing. Service was a bit slow but the pizza made up for it. We ordered the large Hawaiian and a spinach salad to share. The salad was a bit limp but still tasty. The pizza was well done and covered with plenty of toppings. We ate half and saved the rest for tomorrows hike. We ended up eating the rest for breakfast as the pizza was just that good. read more

Sat for 25-30 minutes and never were asked if we wanted to order food while several groups who arrive well after us had ordered and received their food.
