Hey hey - great great spot for families and amazing service. If you go, ask for Cam, a local native who is absolutely delightful. Parents, kids alike will enjoy their time there and Cam's second to none hospitality. A little more detail...Cam made the experience second-to-none. He knows pizza and has worked a number of stations in the shop. That makes for a great convo about what to order, etc. Then, he's got a great demeanor and makes everyone feel valued. Major major props on his contribution to our experience. Then, the pizza and drinks came out lickety-split. We were all amazed at how fast the pizza came out, piping hot. And good! Pizza doesn't have to be all "Portnoy-worthy" but hot and well done. The staff made it happen. This is clearly a very well run restaurant, and leadership is deep here. We come here every time we are in Beaver Creek. Their pizza has always been amazing. Tonight we got the Jalapeño Popper pizza, gluten free pizza, and the vintage pizza. I'm a big fan of spicy food, but I will say my mouth was on fire with the jalapeño popper pizza. Regardless, it was amazing! I rate a pizza place off of their ranch normally. Even though I'm on a diet, I had to get their ranch! It's homemade and always hits the spot. The only downside to our experience this evening was due to them not having a high chair available. It seemed odd to me that every high chair was taken! We ended up having to take turns holding the little one. I was with my fiancé and some friends snowboarding up in Avon Mountain, we decided to hit Beaver Creek resort since our shuttle took us there for free. We immediately got to the resort since it was cold there was plenty of attractions and ice skiing! After we were skiing we decided to grab some food across the way at this pizza joint, it was really packed and they didn't have everything on the menu that we were hoping to eat, we did end up going back the next day and trade some other stuff on the menu including the moose wings. They didn't have the most meat on them and a lot of the wing was grisly and and An edible. They did have great beer options and the pizza was pretty good, I would recommend this place if you have some kids and you're trying to grab a quick bite but if you are looking for something more extravagant I would look somewhere else. read more

Oh Blue Moose, how I like thee. The one thing that I like about Blue Moose is that it's the type of place that you will see in your neighborhood back home. I felt when I walked in I was having a meal in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which is a great thing. Not really sure what we wanted, my wife ordered the cheesy garlic bread to munch on, and I ordered the chicken wings. I love chicken wings and try to get them at most locations we go to, as I am always in search for the perfect wings. We also ordered the 15" summer pizza. First thing first, they say the chicken wings were an 8 oz order, well I disagree, in a positive way. The order I had was a bunch of wings, and plenty of chips. They were hot, delicious and a meal in itself. The summer pizza was plenty for my wife, as I was full from the wings, and she loved the pizza and even took a few slices to go. The bartender and staff were super helpful and friendly. We took a slight risk ordering the whole wheat crust with the Vintage pizza. The crust was excellent - light and chewy. They are well-known in the area (they have another location in Lionshead Village as well). We were told that the Beaver Creek location has been around for over 10 years now. Casual environment, reasonably priced pizza and salad, and friendly enough bartenders. We sat at the bar and Craig served us. Upon our request, he recommended a local massage therapist that ended up being fantastic and much more affordable than going to the spa at the Ritz. (Review coming soon on that). We went with a house salad (which I added artichokes to), an Italian salad, and a mushroom pizza. This was pretty filling although we did save room for dessert (that we went elsewhere to enjoy). If you're in the mood for some pizza and salad, you can't go wrong at The Blue Moose. I know that next time we return to the area, we'll be back for sure! read more

I got there at 6:15pm, and after waiting in line was told that it would be 35 minute wait and we could sit outside. We were there for 2 1/2 hours!!! The waitress took 40 minutes to come to our table. Then it took at least another hour to get one small pizza. After two hours and still not brought any set-ups for the pizza, I talked to the waitress about it, who said "it's not on me". She blamed it on the kitchen and tried to escalate the situation by being defensive. It's not just the kitchen, it's also the server. I agreed with her that I had seen so many to-go orders going out, and that it seemed like to-go orders were being prioritized, just to de-escalate the situation. One thing I noticed when we first got there (we walked in at 6:15 and left at 9 pm!) was that we had to wait in line with the people placing to-go orders. They should have signs and two lines, so the people waiting to sit know where to go. Why should we be waiting in the line with people that are going to place an order at the counter, so they're going to be there for a while? By the way, this is the worse experience I've ever had waiting for food in a restaurant. Especially due to the fact that there were two waitresses that had around 5 tables each, to wait 2 1/2 hours. I also worked for a long time as a server. The server didn't even come by for 5 seconds until after 40 minutes when by. That's how long it took to take our order, 5 seconds. We only ordered a small pizza. The hostess had already brought our water. I have never in my life had customers wait for 2 1/2 hours for one item. The kitchen seems to do most of their sales in pick up orders. I'm assuming most people know not to sit down and try to eat at this restaurant. The other waitress seemed to be faster. Blue moose is a go to for us... great pizza ... the new upgrade at beaver creek is great ... the reason they don't get five stars is because the hostess is awful and the new waitstaff is under-trained. It used to be run/staffed by some great local mountain folks, kinda hippy, always helpful.... But now it's like it's an intern training ground. It's always packed... We expect a long wait (45--60 minutes is normal) ... but the current hostess can't take a name or a number correctly ... so the system they use to text you becomes useless (wrong number no text)... we went back three times checking on our table. Each time we were asked "what's your name" (okay) what's you number ? Each time She had the number wrong... we would tell her again, "yes I have it" she would say,. But clearly she didn't ... she seems nice ... but totally incompetent ... please find her another job with blue moose that doesn't involve working with guests. The waitstaff was slightly better. They were training a new guy who seemed awfully nice, but could barely speak English, (not an issue with me at all) unless you can't understand the order. Hence, i think the staff is undertrained... if they are having a hard time with the language, I am all for them learning, but help them management - help them, you have a number of frustrated customers last night and it doesn't seem like you care at all.
