Came here for a change from vail. Really cool vibe here. Great service and the food pretty good. Beans good, corn bread and hush puppies were fire!! The brisket was just ok not great but the sauce was also good. Give this place a try it's worth coming to !

In Minturn, CO. This spot seems to have kept its old Colorado charm. Friendly, uncomplicated drinks, beers on tap and friendly people. We wanted BBQ on our way back to Denver and we decided to check them out. It's a small restaurant that's been operating for seventeen years. Customers seem to know one another. We tried their Half Rack baby back ribs and their Beef Brisket with a side of Fries and Fried Green tomatoes. Fall of the bones goodness for the rack. With high recommendations from both Google and Yelp. Minturn has a population of 1.033 as of 2020. It sits between the more popular resort towns of Vail and Beaver Creek. Was a historical gem in the Vail Valley for many years and sits at 10,250 feet. Stop and check this gem out!

Carolina pulled pork with a side of Mac and cheese and jalapeño hushpuppies

Had a great late dinner last night here. My boyfriend loves this place. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were awesome (and I should know I'm from Alabama). Then we both ordered a Carolina pulled pork sandwich. I loved everything about it from the pork to the bun to the coleslaw. For my sides I got the Mac and cheese and the jalapeño hushpuppies. I hadn't had a hushpuppy in years and these satisfied my craving. Our server/bartender was awesome and very friendly. She even let the kitchen know to stay open a little longer when someone walked in at close. There wasn't a lot of people in there when we went so it was pretty quiet. Overall we had a great time enjoying some great food!

Good food, relaxed environment and good service. We walked in for a nice lunch and this place is perfect. I strongly recommend brisket sandwich and pull pork

Hands down the best Cheesesteak in Eagle Valley. It's funny that the best cheesesteak is at a BBQ restaurant but I highly recommend it.

This is my dad's all time favorite restaurant in the Vail area so he brought me here for dinner…read more The only reservation we could get was 9pm, which was fine, even though we would have preferred an earlier one. I'm not really a big fan of cooking my own food at restaurants, especially meat, but my dad is a grill master so he took over most of it haha. It is a pretty fun experience getting to pick your type of protein and then seasoning it and grilling it just how you want. They have numerous seasonings like garlic powder, seasoning salt, salt, pepper, lemon pepper, etc. as well as some kind of sauce (not sure what it was - it was brown). You can also add truffle butter to it which I did. They also have a salad bar with loaves of bread which you can butter and cook on the grill also. I had the cheaper ribeye and thought it was a great piece of meat, and great quality. It tasted just how I liked it. I will say, I got the truffle fries as I side which I regret as they do wedge/steak fries as truffle fries and I hate those kind of fries. It's weird cause the regular order of fries comes as regular skinny French fries. We also got a side of broccoli which was yummy. They have 2 grills, one in the front and one in the back, as well as 2 sets of men/woman's bathrooms. The one downside to this place is that there doesn't seem to be any heating, so especially if you're seating in the front of the restaurant it can get pretty chilly. Service was good and the people were nice.

We arrived and were the only people there. The salad in the salad bar was wilted and old. The…read more"Texas toast" bread was in a bag and looked old. Our stuffed mushrooms were not. They were disgusting. Pieces of mushrooms in a dish covered with a cheese like substance and a quarter cup of parsley on top. There were about 4 steaks in the case and the chicken and shrimp looked old. The restaurant was old and dirty. I would not recommend this it was truly an awful experience.

Dinner reservations are available 30 days out on Open Table, and they go instantly. I heard them quote 2+ hours for walk-ins, so definitely plan ahead if you can! Cocktails: I've always loved their cocktails, so even if you don't have dinner here, you should at least check out the bar. I've never been disappointed in any drink I've gotten. Dinner: - Butternut baba ganoush: all the flavors of baba ganoush but with butternut squash, and the warm pita was great - Fire roasted tomato and chorizo soup: a bit on the thinner side, smoky, interesting - Buttermilk sea salt biscuit: rich, flaky, with extra butter, country ham, and red pepper jelly - Warm pimento cheese: I don't usually care for pimento, but their's is great with grilled bread. They also use this on their burger at lunch - Wood grilled octopus: nice wood fire flavor, great ham hock beans underneath, grilled avocado - Crispy brussels sprouts: interesting flavor with the grilled avocado sikil pak - Wood fired pork chop: tender, generously sized - Grilled cobia: wonderful warming pineapple coconut curry, charred pineapple, and fresnos for a kick - Seafood diavolo: very flavorful (my dad found it too salty), served over polenta Lunch items: - Fresh catch: Argentenian shrimp and polenta - like shrimp and grits, very flavorful - Grilled cheese and soup: always a good combo - Burger: we added the onion rings, which had a good kick to them They also had a really solid kids' menu, which I appreciate. Despite how busy they are, service is attentive, and the manager came by personally to check in, which was a nice touch. Food and drink pacing was also good despite it being packed. They have their system down! There's a reason why we keep coming back trip after trip!

Other employees helped with service, including clearing plates and inquiring if we needed anything. The restaurant is definitely number one at customer service and I loved how everyone worked together. Even though the restaurant was busy, we did not feel lost in the shuffle. It was clean and inviting. They offered an array of choices, so there would be something for everyone if you decide to dine here. The food was good, preparation and display were done carefully, but the taste was overall just ok. The appetizers we chose were Warm Pimento Cheese, which was mildly flavorful, but good, and Prime Beef Carne Apache, which had no flavor at all. The main courses we chose included a pork dish and a chicken dish. The chicken had great flavor, but was placed on a bed of potato wedges which were not all completely cooked through. We felt this took away from the overall dish. The accompanied sauce made with yogurt and poppyseed did not add any flavor to the dish. The pork dish had great flavor. The drinks accompanying the food were made well and tasty. The kids menu has an array of choices as well, and our choice of macaroni and cheese was a hit! We ended with a frozen snicker bar dessert that tasted exactly like a frozen snickers bar. Overall, we had a very nice evening and would definitely visit again.
