Whenever I travel, I always look for two specific cuisines: Good Asian food and quality BBQ. After looking around, I got really excited that a BBQ place was in close proximity to our hotel. I feel like since Tom Jenkins bbq closed in Fort Lauderdale there really hasn't been many great options for good..especially in Miami. The food looked standard, but I was disappointed by the quality of the ribs. They were fatty, lukewarm and dry. The best part of my meal was definitely the banana pudding we had for dessert. I gotta say this was a solid mountain meal. Only problem was they didn't have any brisket for lunch because I think someone forgot to turn the smoker on the night before. I can't give a bbq place 5 stars until I try their brisket. Solid spicy mustard sauce paired really well with the chicken and I think would be great on the pulled pork. Good choice in sides from Mac and cheese to salad also beans or coleslaw. I got the brisket chili which was also good and pretty solid. Still my favorite BBQ in Summit County. The ribs were perfectly seasoned, tender but not fall off the bones, just right to dip in the sauces of your choice. Pulled pork also well made to receive sauce. The fried okras are my favorite side, they are popcorn size and crispy. I may have to come here just for the okras. Beans were creamy and juicy. Great restaurant on the mountain. I came on Superbowl Sunday, so I had no idea they were closing early. I spent 9 hours on the slopes and was starving after my watch said I burned 1900 calories. Unfortunately because they were closing early, they ran out of most things. Really all they had that I was considering was pulled pork or chopped brisket. I chose the latter. It was good, not dry at all, even for the end of the day. I just got the regular barbecue sauce, which added that perfect amount of sweetness and tang. The Eagle BBQ is my spot! I seriously stop here every time I board at Copper. The guys that work here are so cute and friendly haha but besides that it has good food and the vibe is the chill Colorado mountain vibe I love. It's non-pretentious and sometimes they even have music. Also, I'm a big fan of Twisted Tea but this is the one and only place I've ever seen with it on tap! :) The outside patio is pretty popular when the sun is out and it's near the half pipe so you can watch from there somewhat. Definitely a fun spot that I hope to help keep in business for a long time! read more

Copper mountain: family friendly and we've been coming for years. But, you don't come for the night life or the fancy meals, unless you want to drive to Frisco. Here's a happy exception: Eagle BBQ is a small, but mighty restaurant serving delicious BBQ right at the base of Eagle lift (ohhh, I just got that) . We tried to order take out, but turns out it's quicker just to walk over, order in line. And they assemble your 4 person meal on-the-fly for take out. We had the 3 meat platter with brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Then a bunch of sides: Mac and cheese, bbq beans, coleslaw, chili. Get double sides: there won't be any left. Another spot in Copper Mountain that I'm a fan of is Eagle BBQ. They have been located in the center village since 2016 and server up what they call Colorado BBQ, a mixture of the traditional American styles. Orders are placed at the counter and there is plenty of seating available for groups of any size. There is also a small bar with a good selection of local craft beers and a full bar. Kids plates are available and include a burger, hot dog, chicken tenders, or mac and cheese. I went with the slow smoked tender pulled pork platter ($16) served with a choice of side (bbq beans for me), thick cut white bread, and a fountain drink or PBR. The side of beans was large and of good flavor. The meat was tender and had a nice smokey flavor. My wife had a similar order but went with the pulled pork sandwich with side and same drink choices ($15). The portion size of pork seemed to be pretty much the same, so maybe the sandwich meal is the way to go, unless you are going to try more than one of the meats offered. They do offer brisket, turkey, ribs, and sausage in addition to the pulled pork we tried. Overall a good and quick meal option in Copper. read more

With the ribs cooked to sumptous perfection so they fall off the bone, amazingly moist and tender brisket and pork, homemade mac and cheese, and the delicious baked beans, the Eagle BBQ at Copper Mountain is our go-to for lunch with our ski school guests as well as where my friends and I gather for après-ski every afternoon after work. When we come in, whether it's for lunch or après-ski, Darrell and his stunningly friendly and efficient crew smile or acknowledge us - I know our ski school guests appreciate eating at an establishment where the staff is so welcoming. In addition to the guys behind the line, Eagle BBQ's bartenders are the best. I can't get into too many details but ask Parker, Chelsea, Nick, or Erin for a "happy meal." With a well-stocked bar, we especially enjoy the variety of bourbons and as an Elijah Craig distributor, we have purchased a few tasty bottles of Toasted Barrel. The deck is also one thing that separates the 'Bird (so named by JD) from other Copper establishments. So grab a lawn chair on the snow or deck, and enjoy soaking up some afternoon sun with a cold one or two. SO GOOD. Located right at the bottom of the slopes in Center Village, you can ski right up and plop your skiis down before heading in. Just a short walk back from there to one of the main lifts makes this one of the most convenient pit stops there is on the mountain. And the food! OMG. So delicious. Really hits the spot to get some energy back into your system. Walk right up to the counter, load up on brisket, pork, chicken, and/or mac & cheese, and I swear it's the cure for whatever ails you. The only drawback is the space: it can be a bit tricky to find a table depending on when you go. That said, BBQ is reasonably quick to eat and the place as a solid bit of turnover so if you're EAGLE eyed you can probably swoop in and grab a seat before too long. read more

This is a little hidden gem at Copper Mountain. Seriously one of the most delicious bbq spots I've had in Colorado. I came here one night after snowboarding with a few friends and hitting the terrain parks so we were running on empty as far as calories go. We decided to stop by and live a little. Boy, oh boy, did we live. I ordered the 2 meat platter consisting of brisket, ribs, and mac & cheese. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly to the point that it didn't even need BBQ sauce in my opinion. One of my friends got a brisket sandwich and the other a pulled pork sandwich - they both were raving about their selections. This place had great reviews so I wanted to try it. Unfortunately, my experience was just ok. The food is ordered at a bar and paid for there, as well as given to you there on a tray. The one person you truly interact with- the person at the register- was not super friendly although not rude either, just...mediocre in demeanor and effort to act like they cared. I ordered the brisket and Mac and cheese. I was sadly disappointed by the amount of brisket for the price and how thin it was. It was also not very flavorful or tender like I was expecting. The mac was ok. The bread served was just a piece of white bread, not toasted, not buttered, nothing. Just a piece of bread. None of us who had it on our plate ate it. They did offer a meal with a PBR as one of the options for combos, which I found intriguing. The seating is abundant, with seating all over and also downstairs. There are bathrooms on both floors. I guess given this is at a ski resort, it is ok, but it is in no way up to par with other bbq places. If you're looking for Kansas City or Texas level bbq, you will be sadly disappointed. Even Sonny's bbq, a chain, is better. However, if you're on the mountain and crave bbq, maybe it will be enough to quench the craving. read more

Eagle BBQ just opened for the 2020 winter season which is great for me because I love BBQ and I have a season pass. More important, they have the best after skiing patio for drinks and the best prices ($4 beers). Located right next to the chairlift at the bottom of the mountain, you can ski up, walk up or drive to it. During these COVID times they have take out you just call and order or you can walk in and order and eat on the huge sunny patio. I did both lunch on the patio, then I skied down at the end of the day and had a couple beers while I waited for the die hards in the group. For dinner we ordered half racks for carry out. This is legit BBQ they have their own sauces and rubs. You can even buy the sauce to take home. This is real Colorado style BBQ and if you have not tried CO BBQ then you have not had the best. read more

I visited this past MLK weekend, the ambience is fine, the food is not great and pricey. I got a burger, the buns were not toasted and had no condiments. The actual patty tasted like it was frozen and just defrosted. To top this all off, as I was about 1/4 way through the burger, I found a large hair on the burger. I took it up to the counter and there was no concern, the cashier basically looked at it and said "oh, there's a hair...what do you want me to do, do you want another burger" Paying $20 for a frozen burger that you can get at McDonalds without a hair, just doesn't sit right. read more

Got the 2 meat platter with pulled pork and brisket with Mac and cheese for my side. I didn't realize until after that the brisket is a slight up charge as they have not updated it on the online menu. No biggie; pandemic life. Large servings! After eating everything, I could barely move. Tried both the traditional BBQ sauce and the Carolina style sauce; both were delicious. My family and I were staying at Copper Mountain for several days and decided to try Eagle BBQ Copper Mountain on Monday 29 Nov 2021. We checked with them about closing time at around 420 pm and were told they are supposed to close at 7pm, but may close at 6pm. My family arrived at Eagle BBQ at 455 pm. There was a table of three sitting, when we arrived. All of the staff watched as my family found a seat and stood in line to order. At 505 pm while we were beginning to order for a table of seven, the staff, mostly unprofessionally, informs us that their fryers are off. So no hamburgers, fish and chips, fries, etc will be made. Then the "manager", who observed my family enter the restaurant, walks towards the kitchen, and then returns to the order counter and states "Well, we actually closed at 5:00 pm", while his staff gathers around him and stare dumbfounded at us. Note to the owner of this restaurant, if you are going to close early, lock the doors and turn off the "Open" sign. Also, have a little more tact when dealing with your customers. You may have good BBQ, but my people will never try it on our future stays at Copper Mountain. #BadCustomerService #ZeroStars read more
