Chopped Brisket Sandwich and Mac & Cheese
    Hyoun K.

Great restaurant on the mountain. I came on Superbowl Sunday, so I had no idea they were closing early. I spent 9 hours on the slopes and was starving after my watch said I burned 1900 calories. Unfortunately because they were closing early, they ran out of most things. Really all they had that I was considering was pulled pork or chopped brisket. I chose the latter. It was good, not dry at all, even for the end of the day. I just got the regular barbecue sauce, which added that perfect amount of sweetness and tang. The Mac and cheese was delicious, very creamy and sharp. Hopefully I'll be able to give them another try before I leave. I really wanted the ribs!!

Huge and delicious brisket sandwich with a side of mac n cheese. The brisket chili had big chunks of brisket and was excellent

Got the meat platter and was humongous. Easy to split with two. Yes it's expensive but super on point and I grew up eating at all the best joints in Texas. Was hella tasty.

Had the chopped bbq brisket sandwich with the Mac and cheese.

Great service and atmosphere. Great place for a lunch break from snowboarding. One of my favorite bbq places in Copper.

Twisted Tea on tap and some good mac!

The Eagle BBQ is my spot! I seriously stop here every time I board at Copper. The guys that work here are so cute and friendly haha but besides that it has good food and the vibe is the chill Colorado mountain vibe I love. It's non-pretentious and sometimes they even have music. Also, I'm a big fan of Twisted Tea but this is the one and only place I've ever seen with it on tap! :) The outside patio is pretty popular when the sun is out and it's near the half pipe so you can watch from there somewhat. Definitely a fun spot that I hope to help keep in business for a long time!

Great spot for a quick lunch break while on the mountain. Conveniently located in the village next to the American eagle lift. Food is ordered and servers cafeteria style on a line, so everything is ready to order. This was by far the best food we had on our entire trip. Absolutely delicious, highly recommend.

food is great every year. i'm from texas so i can tell real barbecue and this was it. the service is also always great

    Perfectly smoked STL ribs!

These guys know BBQ! Solid crew of cooks! The brisket literally melts in your mouth, ribs are exquisite. Seasoned fries are the best I have ever had!

Another spot in Copper Mountain that I'm a fan of is Eagle BBQ. They have been located in the center village since 2016 and server up what they call Colorado BBQ, a mixture of the traditional American styles. Orders are placed at the counter and there is plenty of seating available for groups of any size. There is also a small bar with a good selection of local craft beers and a full bar. Kids plates are available and include a burger, hot dog, chicken tenders, or mac and cheese. I went with the slow smoked tender pulled pork platter ($16) served with a choice of side (bbq beans for me), thick cut white bread, and a fountain drink or PBR. The side of beans was large and of good flavor. The meat was tender and had a nice smokey flavor. My wife had a similar order but went with the pulled pork sandwich with side and same drink choices ($15). The portion size of pork seemed to be pretty much the same, so maybe the sandwich meal is the way to go, unless you are going to try more than one of the meats offered. They do offer brisket, turkey, ribs, and sausage in addition to the pulled pork we tried. Overall a good and quick meal option in Copper.

Pricey, but that's typical at a ski resort. Great BBQ options when you're at Copper Mountain.

Great crowd and we had a lively time. 2 nights later we went back for the same BYO Old Fashion and I gave the bartender (different from prior visit) the ingredients; Rye, angistino bitters, orange bitters and thats all! Over a single large block of ice. They were out of Ang bitters (???) so i substituted walnut bitters. It happens, no biggy. They arrived at the table and were over small chipped ice. Wrong for a bourbon drink. She said they were out of blocks (8:00???) It was full of simple syrup- yuck! I discreetly took it over to the bar and asked what was in it, it was terribly sweet and not what we ordered. She said she puts simple syrup in them. I told her that is not what we ordered in the BUILD YOUR OWN. And asked her to remake it. She stormed to the table and said she would have to charge me for the new drink since that is how they make them. I asked her isn't it a build your own? And said forget it just throw the damn thing away. I'm done. I had nothing and we left. Be careful to explain it is build your own and you get to tell them how to make it.

Initially, the restaurant felt a little understaffed, exhausted, yet polite. We didn't realize, however, that it was only their first week of being open! I loved the affordability of this place, considering it's in the East Village. I also liked that they serve local beer on draft, plus wine, sake, and cocktails. Additionally, they offered discounts for mountain employees. In terms of food, the overall flavor of everything was great quality and presentation. Here are a couple of notes from our party: * Coconut Curry: not enough curry, too much rice * Far East Salad: delicious * Southwest bowl w/tofu: no complaints * Southwest bowl w/shrimp: less rice, more shrimp- shrimp cooked very well * Shrimp Pita: filling is good, but the pita was very crunchy, leading it to fall apart easily. Steaming pita recommended. * Miso: thin broth, not super flavorful besides salt * Samurai cocktail: fantastic * Grasshopper: delicious hot chocolate with Peppermint Schnapps
