I arrive to RMT every Tuesday for their Fish Tacos. They are the best !!! Plus they are 2 for $8.00, what a deal in the Vail Valley! Actually everything on their menu is great, you will not be disappointed. The service is very good too, again I highly recommend it! read more

Ate at the food truck. Mother Nature provided the ambience. Tacos and quesadillas were great.

I wanted to like these tacos more than I did, with the rave reviews and a rec from a family member. But everything we had was in the ok-to-pretty good range. My wife got a bowl with beans that she said were too salty. Chicken taco was a little under seasoned and all of the proteins I thought were a tad dry. Kids seemed to enjoy their quesadillas. read more

We bike from Vail to Minturn to go to Rocky Mountain Taco! The restaurant has a rustic, fun feel. You can sit outside or inside. You order at the front and pick up your food. Lots of great sauces to try! The food has always been excellent. They give a generous serving of guacamole and have a variety of tacos (along with other food options). We really enjoy this restaurant! read more

Our favorite place in the Vail Valley to eat after a hike! Alambre tacos are my personal favorite.

Great taco find in the mountains of CO. It's true, these tacos are the most bestest around. The more I eat them, the more I wanted. Top 3 in order, Alambre was so juicy and flavorful. Dirty Hippy was a great vegetarian option that exceeded expectation, and Cali Style with French fries hit the spot. The salsa were tasty. Cool, friendly service all around. Worth the stop. read more

Every time I visit Vail, I take a short drive and go to Rocky's. For the money, it's the best place to go and the food and service is very good too. I highly recommend it! read more

Great spot for burritos and taco bowls. The store was full of fun decorations (tons of cool skateboard decks), and we really enjoyed the fast casual (order at the counter, find your own seat) setup. The restaurant and the restroom were very clean as well. We tried the taco bowls and french fries nachos, both were delicious. We had various proteins, including carne asada, carnitas, and white chick. They were all delicious, especially the white chick (which honestly was a surprise). Coming from California, we agree that Rocky Mountain Taco rivals some of the best places we've tried in California! It's definitely worth a stop here. read more

Korean BBQ burger for the win. 11/10. Funky location and worth the drive from Dillon.

What a great place! I thought Ospreys in St. Augustine had the best tacos, but this place was right on the money. I had the alambre, the Cali style, and the carne asada, and they were all amazing. My wife had a bowl, but the only negative is that there isn't much choice of vegetarian protein. The only two options included onions, which my wife does not eat. Nevertheless, this is a great spot, and the food was very fresh. read more

So good! Tried the Alambre, carne asada and carnitas tacos... all three were great but hours later I'm still thinking about the carnitas. Will return to try other options since these were fantastic. They serve beer and individual bottled wines and margaritas (Margarita was good and they give you a glass with ice and lime wedge with it). Nice vibes with both indoor and outdoor patio seating. Friendly service. read more

Amazing, just don't get the carne asada. Not good. The asada tasted like tomato and that doesn't make sense. Carnitas taco was on point.

This place doesn't look like much from the street but it's really pretty cool. They have awesome skateboard artwork. And the tacos are delicious. About as good as the ones in Texas. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely go back if we are in the area. read more

Very cool taco place apparently related to the famous Rocky Mountain Taco truck. I had the white chick grilled chicken taco (my favorite) and the tilapia taco (just OK; I wish the tilapia had been seasoned better and grilled but that's on me for not asking). My husband had some sort of giant beef burrito, and he loved his as well. We loved the free stickers and salsa bar, too. The service was very friendly and the food was prepared fresh. Perfect little lunch spot! read more

Headed home from a day-trip to Hanging Lake, my friend and I were needing to refuel after all the hiking. We stopped in Minturn while I checked Yelp for good places to eat. Rocky Mountain Taco looked like a great option right off the bat. Walking up to the door, we had a look at the menu options and headed in. I went with the "bowl cut" with pork carnitas and Jarritos. My buddy got the quesadilla with steak and chips with salsa. My bowl-cut carnitas was absolutely wonderful. Lots of meat, quacamole, rice, beans and toppings. Plus, they had a variety of sour creams and sauces to add my own flair. It was likely the best fast-food Mexican food I've had in Colorado. The chips were fresh-made. Hearty and delicious. The salsa was so flavorful and had just the right amount of kick! The decor was mostly skateboard related, very cool. Great music and excellent service made this a definite great place. If you're in Minturn, do yourself a favor and stop here. read more

We stopped in after a full day of skiing at Cooper mountain. This place is very chill with tacos, quesadillas and Mexican food options. We loved the decor as there were skateboards adorning the walls with cool designs. When our food came we were pleasantly surprised to find good quality Mexican food. My kids all got quesadillas while my husband and I enjoyed many different types of tacos as well as margaritas. The best taco hands down was the Alhambra! Amazing!!! OMG tacos will never be good enough anywhere, ever again. Yes, they are that tasty and it's a cute spot with friendly staff, an awesome patio and you don't have to take out a mortgage just because it is popular and near the glitterati in Vail. We ordered three types of tacos: - carne asada - the baseline test for ANY taco joint - pork carnitas - alambre -l(carne asada plus peppers and melted cheese) We were pleasantly surprised the carne asada was so flavorful, the alambre pushed that steak to another level! The carnitas are for pork purists! Tender, juicy and screaming with porcine flavor you MUST eat this taco first and preferably ONLY with lime juice and no salsa so as to not cover up the delicate pork flavor. The others had enough flavor to stand up to the delicious salsas. We look forward to returning to try the Korean burger and more!!! read more

Had their carne asada tacos at the Vail Farmer's Market from their food truck. Tacos were small ($3/each) but delicious! Meat was well cooked, packed with flavor and good condiments on top. Their sauces, especially the chipotle sour cream, were delicious. Can't wait to try the brick and mortar location and explore more of the menu. Great first experience and lived up to what I have been hearing about. read more

Not just a small town taco shop, more like a small town family. Rocky Mountain taco has been dishing out delicious tacos, burritos, quesadillas, hamburgerz, and so much more! If you're a vegan or vegetarian they have some amazing options like "hippie crack" (Red potatoes grilled with onions, poblano, anaheim and bell peppers topped with melted cheese and crema.) that you can do as tacos, quesadilla, or burritos! We love coming to main location in Minturn and if you haven't been recently they have expanded! With more tables, seats, and a serve yourself salsa bar, you can now enjoy eating in and staying warm during those snowy Minturn days. Overall, All the food is great and the staff is super chill and friendly. I always get something different but this time I got the pork carnitas quesadilla and it was bomb! read more

Only on an extremely rare occasion, do I give five stars, but this darn well might be the best burrito I've ever ever had. It all started with the Carnitas, also well, flavored, and so moist that my burrito was dripping as I was making my way through it. I will be driving out of my way to come back here and try some other things. I was skeptical when the burrito called for lettuce, pico, and cheese in it, but it worked, it more than worked. The crispy texture of the lettuce, complemented the oozing cheese And moist Carnitas perfectly. read more

These are some of the best tacos we've ever had, and we stop in here every chance we get. We first had their Hippie Crack breakfast burrito from their food truck trailer in Avon. The deliciously seasoned potatoes and the crack sauce absolutely make the meal. The Carne Asada is amazing. Tons of rich grilled flavor. I tried it on a torta roll and it was great. The bread is very light and a good contrast to the rich flavorful meat. The SoyHippie Crack quesadilla at the Minturn location was just ok. We wouldn't order it again. read more

These guys are local heroes for bringing bad ass amazing tacos to the valley. I used to have the honor and privilege of living close by and being able to eat here on a weekly basis. Now I live a ways out and miss this place CONSTANTLY. Their everything is fire, the new restaurant is awesome, and I really do miss coming here a few times a week. I stop in just about every single time I pass by on 70, it's that good. PS- this isn't texas. This is the vail valley colorado. If you read a review that mentions anything about texas in it, I would just disregard and come in here and grab some grub to see for yourself. Might have to move back to Avon just to be close to RMT & VBC. Take Care fellas, I'll see you soon! read more

The food is fresh and generous. The people were friendly and helped with the menu. Loved the area and great views of mountains and the town!

When we arrived here, the place was very busy. We asked the owner about gluten-free options. He was very knowledgeable. He told us that regretfully they use the same griddle for all of their food and that he could not guarantee that the food would not be cross contaminated, he suggest, several restaurants in the area that would be gluten-free including Thai kitchen. If you're not gluten-free the food, look delicious and certainly worth a try. It came highly recommended to us by locals. There is plenty of outside seating. read more

You have to make a stop here for some fresh made from scratch Tacos/tortillas. Roadtrip from Ca to Chi.

Been to the trucks in Avon and thought we'd go to Minturn and try their restaurant. Ordered chips and salsa and 2 carne asada burritos. Chips and salsa were great. Carne Asada not so good. The meat was more like hamburger and the tortilla was hard. Think I should of stuck with the tacos. Will try again as I think I just didn't get a great meal read more
