Really delicious taco truck! The burritos were really tasty and the serving was generous. The side sauce is absolutely 11/10 spice!!!

I first tried them at the Vail Village market over Labor Day weekend and then I had to stop again and go to their food truck in Minturn when I was passing through. Wow, these tacos are fantastic! And they're priced just right. I had the white chick, carne asada, and pork carnitas. The pork was my favorite, but they were all delicious. The chips and salsa were also fantastic. The chips were fried right then and there, so they were crispy and hot. It was the perfect September day to sit outside at their patio by the food truck and enjoy a great taco in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. read more

This review is for the Rocky Mountain Taco Trailer at the Vail Farmers Market. I was excited to try them out because of the many good review. In all honesty the tacos where garbage, had a bite of each and put them in the trash. Carney Asada: the meat was closer to mush than nice diced steak, the texture reminded me of a can of roast beef hash. The flavor was very bland, the avocado covered up the beef. I added some of their spicy salsa on my second bite and it did not help much. I think the biggest issue with the taco was probably the texture of the meat. Hippie Crack: Couple of issues. They do not double the corn tortilla so this was busted right out the gate, could not even pick it up without most the filling falling on the plate. The filling reminded me a Taco Bell Burrito, just a mush of bland babyfood. I hate to be this negative in a review, but it is a rare occasion that I would throw a taco away without finishing it, especially when I was hungry. I am not sure if the other locations food is this bad or it was just this one off trailer. Cannot recommend or return. read more

Yum!! So delicious!! We went to the Rocky Mountain Taco food truck that is parked at the main location for Vail Brewing Company (41290 US. HWY. 6). **This is different than the "tasting room" in Vail Village. It's about a 5-10 min drive away and worth it!! There is not a food truck at the tasting room.** Food was delicious (especially the carne asada!!) Grabbed a few delicious beers from the brewery to have with our meal and enjoyed some live music at the brewery on a Thursday night. Highly recommend! read more

I have never in my life witnessed such profound rudeness in food service. A couple young women in front of me were ordering and got mixed up about which tacos were sold out and therefore unavailable. The person (who appeared to be the owner), belittled them, then quizzed them on which tacos were available, and condescendingly congratulated them on successfully reading back the available menu options. If I hadn't needed to feed my wife and children, I would have gone to bed on an empty stomach to avoid giving money to this business. I just cannot overstate how offensive it was. Your experience might be okay. This happened when I was waiting to make a second order, and I made my first order with a perfectly nice guy who was not the owner. Love the cool vibe in here! There's skateboarding videos on the tvs and skateboards hung up. Super casual place and fun! They have never messed up my order or made it bad and I have been here several times! The people who work there have always been nice to me with a chill vibe and helpful! Love the food as well! After a full half-day of skiing in Vail (meaning, we started with first chair, quit before one, but still got almost 19,000 verticals in), led by our friend John, who lives in Edwards and knows Vail (and BC) like the back of his hand, we were ready for some grub and grog. This is one of those off-the-beaten-path food trucks that only locals know, paired with Vail Brewing Company for a symbiotic set-up (grub-grog), but it is separate, outside of VBC in the parking lot, in a truck. To order, you go outside of VBC and walk up to the window to place your order (thank goodness it's not cash only), and they give you a buzzer to let you know when to pick up. There are a variety of sauces you can help yourself to when you pick up the food. I went with 3 tacos (see photo - the carne asada, alambre, and hippie crack, which is vegetarian); it was about the 'right' amount of food (the reason I'm able to lose weight on this 10-day ski trip!), but look out if you ordered the tacos - TWO people eating it will still pack on the pounds even after a hard day of schussing. This place is so Delicious! Every time I'm in Vail I head over to Rocky Mountain Taco at the Vail Brewery location. There is always a line but I appreciate that line because it is a telltale sign of how good the food is. I'm vegetarian and I love the hippie crack. What takes this food to the next level is the habanero Crema sauce. That sauce is so good I could drink the entire bottle. I wish they sold the sauce in jars so I could take it home. The people who run this taco truck are good people. I witnessed them host a charity event along with the brewery and the turnout was unbelievable. The absolute best place to eat in the valley. All of their tacos and burritos are delicious (and I have tried them all), but their carnitas are the absolute best. Don't skip their homemade salsas. I've been her before and have loved it, but yesterday was different. My boyfriend and I ate quesadillas here yesterday around 4:30 pm. I got steak and he got chicken. Come 8pm I just did not feel well at all. I felt super full and like I needed to vomit. So I did, thinking I would feel better, man was I wrong. It escalating into 8 hours of vomiting and diarrhea, often at the same time, every 10-15-20 minutes. When I tell you this is the most sick I have ever felt, I mean it. Not to mention, I am still feeling incredibly awful - dehydrated, feverish, and bloody diarrheas, nearly 20 hours after eating here. Bad batch of meat? Contamination? Who knows but this has absolutely wrecked my body and ruined my supposed to be last day of skiing vacation. Tried this food truck out while passing through town after visiting family in Colorado. Whenever we drive through, we make a pit stop there. The guys that run the truck are amazing- great and inviting personalities. Every item on the menu does not disappoint- in fact the best torta I've ever had in my life has come out of that truck (and that's a lot to say for someone that lived in NY and Mexico and now has been living a few years in CA). The tacos are great but they can not get it together for catering orders. They have accepts $700+ dollar orders for me twice and not had the food ready or even close to ready for pickup. Very stressful when you have 50 guests waiting to eat. read more
