It was very difficult looking for a decent lunch spot in Beaver Creek. We just happened upon Fiesta Jalisco because we ventured away from Hwy 6. With that, what's that iHop saying? The portions at Fiesta Jalisco are generous, even with the small combo plates. I ordered the Chalupa with black beans and rice and barely came close to finishing it. Mom had the Beef Tostada with pinto beans and rice and I was surprised such a small woman polished off her plate. The food here is good, the shredded chicken is much more flavorful than the beef. The Margaritas were top notch tho. Fiesta offers flavors like peach, mango, strawberry, and even huckleberry. We opted for Don Julio Silver and it was delicious. The Sopapillas were ok. Not overly sweet but not a fan of the extra whipped cream topping. Another bonus was that the telly's were broadcasting the Broncos game, so we didn't skip a beat there (and neither did the Broncos!) The down side: service and cleanliness. Food on the floor, under the tables, and the seat benches had rips and tears. It was hard to find a comfortable spot to dine. On top of that, our waitress wasn't super attentive. She did not offer water refills or second round of drinks unless we flagged someone down....when we could find someone. Love this place for a casual Mexican dinner. I got a chimichanga as usual which was delicious. We also split some queso with our chips, so I drizzled that on my chimichanga and rice which made it extra yummy. My boyfriend ordered the enchilada mole and was pleasantly surprised. The service was good, but I will say our server dropped off the wrong check with someone else's credit card at our table and then had to do a switcheroo so that we could get our card back. read more

My husband and I stopped in for lunch/early dinner while on vacation. The waitress was nice and they have an extensive menu. I do feel like their prices are very high though. The restaurant was not busy at all, and the atmosphere was casual. You have to order at least one entrée to get the chips and salsa which of course we did. The salsa was just OK and the chips were not very flavorful. My husband had a shrimp dish that I cannot pronounce and he said it was pretty good, but it was definitely more expensive. Since I have gluten issues, I stuck with the chicken flautas with corn tortillas. They were not good though, a definitely lacked flavor, even though they gave a good portion. read more

To be fair, they've close to closing. However, we asked if they were closing soon and they still let us in and told us no. I asked what type of oil they used and the bartender refused to check. This is the first time I have encountered this while in Breckenridge. It would have taken 2 seconds and honestly, if I couldn't eat anything asked on the oil type due to food allergies, I would have left. It takes two seconds. The bartender was rude and ignored us. I would not recommend this place just based on attitude. It honestly would have been a better experience if they checked either way. I have weird food allergies and I know that I can't eat every where. However, being treated with kindness would have went a long way. read more

My review is based on the lunchtime enchilada special. The Beaver Creek visitor center recommended this spot for Mexican food. I wish I had yelped the area first before going blindly with the recommendation. We came during a non-peak time so it's not a surprise the place was pretty quiet but still had 4 tables occupied. Fresh warm chips and homemade salsa arrived promptly - that was probably the only highlight of the meal. The enchiladas were among the worst I've had...? Ouch, I hate to say it but they were dry, lacking flavor and borderline cheeseless! You can't have enchiladas without the cheese - yet Fiesta Jalisco was pretty stingy with theirs. :( You can see only flecks of dried cheese from the picture I took. At least the refill of salsa was free so we took the small win. Otherwise, I would not recommend coming here based on the enchilada experience. I just don't understand why people are leaving such bad reviews. The margaritas are great and big. Food is inexpensive compared to other Mexican restaurants in the Vail valley. The food is plentiful and really good. We had an alacart chili relleno, side of beans, pork burrito dinner plate, carne asada dinner plate. It was all really delicious. We had a plan for a later dinner reservation for our group of 9 people and were worried it may be too late (8:45 seating when the restaurant closes at 9). Since it is a 20 min drive and few places in the area are open late, we called in advance and spoke with the hostess who assured us that they could seat us before leaving. When we arrived we were told the food would have to be to go and the restaurant is closing early. When we mentioned that we already called to confirm the timing, they told us that person went home and was uninformed in the restaurant closing early. Such a major disappointment and inconvenience. Established in 2001, this family owned restaurant has been one our go-to places when in Vail. Located just west of vail, in a town called Avon, the place is cozy, run impeccably well by the Rodriguez family. I think there are a total of 6 restaurants but don't quote me on that. The service is always friendly and prompt. We always have the big margarita: a must! This time around, we started with the queso fundido with chorizo. The chorizo had a little kick to it and it went well with the chips (from the chips and salsa that was brought earlier) to the tortillas that came with the order. We also got one of the large combination plates: the number 17 to be exact. The chile relleno was spicy! The tamale and enchiladas were tasty too, not spicy luckily. Lol My partner had a small combination platter: number 3 to be exact and added an extra taco. The taco came with shredded beef and it was outstanding he said. We finished everything with the churros: four churros with lots of whipped cream that had caramel drizzled on top: YUM!! No wonder we keep coming back to this place when in town! read more

Actually the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant... To start, the margarita was awful. Syrupy and way too sour. I asked for a different one and the waitress went to ask and came back and said that I couldn't have a new one without being charged. I said okay I'll just drink it. The food took forever to receive but when it finally came no one received their rice and beans. When asked about it the waitress gave us attitude saying it was our fault we didn't order it properly. I then ordered it still and waited 15 min extra min for it to come after waiting 30 min for the food to even come. Upon receiving the check, I said I was not happy with the service and wanted to speak with a manager. The waitress brought out the manager and he was even worse than her. I told him of my dissatisfaction and he too gave attitude but finally agreed to comp the marg. Check came and it wasn't comped. I said I'm not paying for this the manager said it would be comped. Waitress then said well we'll just call the cops then cause he's not giving it to you for free. Then she came back and again and said I'll take care of your whole check don't worry about it. Then came back again with a modified check comping the marg stating she'll just pay for it since the manager won't. The disfunction was crazy! It's up the manager to make things right not the waitress. If I were her I would quit immediately that's awful. Wont be back. read more

We went there on Sunday and they had a tv running advertising up in the dining area. They kept advertising taco Tuesday and we decided to go back on Tuesday. We call that morning and asked if the taco Tuesday was at a certain time and they said it was all day. When we got there and asked about it we were told that is old advertising and they haven't done that in three years. The food is okay, but kind of pricy for the amount of food. Have been going here for years and it has been great. Quality seems to have gone down some. Last night there was metal shaving in my step fathers food and when pointed out they snatched the plate away and refused to address it until we asked about it and was told "well since you ate most of it you still have to pay for it" and "my manager is too busy to talk to you so feel free to talk to him on your way out". Very good service by hard-working hostesses and servers. Food pretty good and in large portions (mega!). Prices reasonable. You will be served fairly quickly. It's not a fancy nor pretentious place but kind of an everyday eatery. If a person is in Vail or Beaver Creek it's easily possible to spend 5 times as much on a meal but if you only wish to go out and eat basic Mexican food in a sit-down setting Fiesta Jalisco fills the bill. There's sort of a view, from some tables, of the interstate and a hill to the north but otherwise it's in a strip mall without charm or ambiance. And not lack of trying. The chips were decent. The salsa had a bit of a ketchup taste. First bad hint. The waiter was missing. Could not get water refilled or find him to fix problematic orders. Other reviews talk about having the worst cheese enchiladas. 100% the worst enchiladas I have ever had. Also the worst and must tasteless rice and beans. Too much cheese that was under cooked in the enchiladas. I sent it back when the waiter showed up. They re did the order BUT the same way. I suggest the owner taste the food. Another local spot that is as good as it gets. Gigantic orders of veggie fajitas for $15 each, they customized to make it vegan for me. Threw in a bag of chips and salsa too. Super friendly and fast although they for sure made the food to order. I bet I will go back before I leave town for home. read more

First and last time eating there. Pretty much the worst food I have ever eaten and I'm not just talking about Mexican food. The food had no taste including the rice. How do you mess up rice? It honestly tasted like rubber. My beef taco was beyond disgusting. I think I'd rather eat Sopapillas after rubbing them on the honey soaked floors of Casa Bonita. It's just so surprising how a restaurant like this has been open for so long...and it was jam packed! I wish I could provide this poor of a product and still be in business. Was there last week....for dinner. Ordered the special of the day...chicken and steak fajitas. Came with rice and beans. Have had fajitas at numerous places here in LA ...always disappointed....now after being at Fiesta Jalisco.....nothing compares. Fiesta Jajisco cooked it perfect, enhancing taste and optimum charring. I think this is one of the keys. This is not boiled food, it is really pan cooked.....then charred....that added to the taste. And I'm sure they added a secret sauce. And before that we had salsa and chips. I'm a prisoner of spicy tastes, so I asked for a hot salsa. So I can be liberated. They delivered. I would give this place four stars for service and friendliness, but the food was a solid 2-3, unfortunately. Our food was served lightening fast on hot plates, but when we dug in we noticed the food was stone cold. When we asked if our plates could be reheated, they made us new entees that were slightly warmer. The food seems fresh but what we ordered lacked seasoning. Bar service was great - we enjoyed the sangria and top shelf margarita. We were served a complimentary sopapilla with whipped cream due to the issues with our food. Very nice. Would be willing to give another try if we lived here. They have a very large and diverse menu from which to choose. Oh, and the chips were fresh and crisp. read more
