I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Tocko on Frisco was disappointing from start to finish. The moment we walked in (we were the only people in the restaurant) the staff who looked more annoyed than welcoming. The food was the biggest letdown. Everything tasted bland and rushed, like it had been sitting out too long. Ever experience soggy nachos? Well, this is the place for you. The chicken wings, that apparently are not only deep fried are also baked (as I was told by the server) take about 50 minutes to come out. Steak quesadillas were lukewarm, and frankly all of the food was simply meh. Ever seen brown guacamole? You can see it here. Service was equally frustrating. It took forever just to get someone's attention, and when I did, the attitude felt dismissive, almost like I was inconveniencing them just by asking for basics like water refills. "Can't you see we are short staffed" - buddy, I have worked and owned places that are short staffed but have to ask for water 4 times, hanging another table do the same .... I can go on and on. Frankly, so many better options around that are so much better, also short staffed but friendly and at least make an effort to be friendly. Hope your experience here is better if you are brave enough to waste two hours for crappy food and incredibly sub par service. read more

I had a margarita and some nachos and though they were good and staff was nice and restaurant itself was clean and good view we were overcharged. We made sure to order everything to get under $40 because we were saving for something but were charged above $70 plus of course we tipped because they were kind but again I'm upset about that and confused, my boyfriend didn't even hear the amount till it showed on his bank. Tocko is a cool bar / restaurant located on main street. It can be found on the second floor and offers a great open dining area that's also open to the bar area. It's known to be a whiskey/ tequila bar and they sure don't disappoint when it comes to beverages. The spicy Margarita is jalapeño based and I would highly recommend it. The chips are tasty as they too are also homemade. Order this with the guac! Server was nice, Juan did a great job Ian making our drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. Walking around downtown Frisco, we stopped in and ate at the bar. I hadn't been here for a few years, back when it was under the prior name/ownership, so I figured it was worth another try. The staff was friendly and they had Avalanche Amber Ale on tap: always a great choice. We shared one of their nacho dishes, which was huge. The toppings were great, but the beef was boring (didn't taste well-seasoned or anything). As an appetizer it was fine, but I'm curious if it's better in their tacos. Pictures can definitely make the food look better that's for sure. I was skeptical since reviews weren't looking so good but the last one gave me hope. Skip this place! Both service and food were terrible. There were only about 4 tables already seated/one sat after us. We waited and waited for someone to take a drink order - literally thought about walking out but my fiancé is more patient than I. Finally got a drink order and chips and salsa ordered. Again, we waited and waited. I finally waved down our waiter who blatantly admitted he forgot. To quote him, he said "it was the worst fish taco he's ever had!" I got the blackened (again not blackened) fish taco as well and the Chimi Steak. Kid you not, I had to spit my fish taco into my napkin. It had that nasty fishy taste (you know, when you're like, if I continue to eat this - it could be reallllll bad)! I thought ok let's try the Chimi Steak - my two bites were so fatty I couldn't enjoy it. It was such a disappointment - it looked like maybe this place could be good but the food was just flat out TERRIBLE! With the service also being bad it's just not worth it. Was craving some good food & drinks after a bike ride in the mountains and stumbled upon Tocko. Very cool spot on Main Street with a bunch of tacos, burritos, apps, and drinks. Friendly service and all the food looks great. My boyfriend and I stopped by during happy hour and ended up getting the $15 pitcher deal of Incredible Pedal - the pitcher was huuuge... definitely plenty for the both of us. On top of that, we got the nachos which were also huge! They were very tasty, deliciously flavored, and so filling. I like to rate restaurants based on three factors: food, service, and atmosphere. We had a group experience at Tocko. The atmosphere is generally nice. The menu options are okay - I'd recommend the quesadilla and chicken burrito, but recommend staying away from the salsa and tacos. The service gets a thumbs down from me. For a place that includes a 20% tip for groups, our food took forever to get to our table, we had to constantly flag our server, and I even had to go up to the bar to get the check. So, overall, the atmosphere is about the only nice thing about Tocko. read more

We came this past weekend on a Saturday around noon. We were the first patrons to be dining here so service started out great. The bartender made our house margaritas with less sugar as requested and we ordered the frisco nachos with chicken to start. The margaritas were delicious and the frisco nachos were good- it did not come with queso as indicated on the menu but rather shredded melted cheese ( i think queso would have been better). The chicken on the nachos were a bit dry & Jalapenos were not put on the side as requested but rather pickled onions on the side (which was not requested). As we dined, more patrons started to frequent the restaurant. Service got impeccably slower & worse. We decided to order the Street Tacos (12.95) and they were $1 extra per taco if you ordered shrimp or blackened fish. We ordered 2 blackened fish and 1 shrimp taco (total $15.95). My god, these were awful- they looked awful and tasted awful and certainly not worth $15.95. We didn't even finish them. Tortilla was also cold & hard on the side with barely any toppings. Secondly, we received 2 shrimp tacos & 1 blackened fish so she couldn't even get our order right. We also ordered several rounds of margaritas from the same bartender, the last round was much sweeter- meaning she forgot that we asked for less sugar. All in all- DO NOT GET THE STREET TACOS (see pics). If you can't handle give the same consistent service when there are more people in the restaurant then either 1. hire more employees to help or 2. don't allow this many people in the restaurant if your service & food is going to take a hit. read more

Tragically poor. Don't roll the dice like we did. The place was mostly empty which should have been our clue, but others' reviews were decent. Marguerita was fair at best. Food just not good - brown lettuce and brown guacamole served with our overpriced and mediocre fajitas. Wait staff smiled and took our order, but it quickly became apparent that there was a major language gap, because we did not get what we ordered. Best part of the meal was the rice, but who can screw up rice! if you're dying for mexican, Taco Bell would be a better choice. What a fun spot located on the second floor in the center of downtown frisco. You walk in and you just feel the buzz! We started with guac and salsa duo both very good the chips were warm maybe homemade? Very good. We had the steak taco plater my husband thought they were just ok , a bit bland. As someone who was a server and also a bar manager... this place blows. It's currently Wed 3/31 @1714 and I'm sitting at the bar. The people's next to me wings are cold, my steak tacos bland, no lime, the rice over cooked and burnt, the beans alright, and the queso curdled and so bad I asked for guac instead. Now I'm laid back. Super chill. Love the idea of the staff having fun. However there's one patron by the name of marco, has made inappropriate multiple comments about which bartender is going to fk him, so loud, so many times, that everyone else has noticed. 1 of the staff behind the bar is completely wasted. The others oblivious to checking food time, or Following up on the couples next to me non existent fry order that they asked about over half a dozen times, and it's her birthday, or asking if you want water, or perhaps how's the food, or giving you silverware... Time management is quite horrendous. The one girl however in the beanie, dark hair, short, was being attentive and managed her time decently. The food terrible. The tacos had no flavor. No lime. The rice burnt. The beans alright. The queso so curdled and overheated or re-heated that it even have a bad flavor, the onions on the tacos days old and going bad. The guac was okay. Y'all seriously need to lock it down, or you're gunna tank like every other establishment that has been in this building. Not trying to be a jerk, just telling it like it is. I definitely recommend going for half size if eating as a meal since the full size is enormous in size and volume! I shared with everyone at my table. This place is a must! The outdoor seating (make shift and permanent) is awesome. The servers were friendly. We started with a house marg and spicy marg - no fake neon free stuff - made with real lime juice. The chips are seasoned lightly with something special and make them even more addictive than you thought tortilla chips could be. A healthy serving of guac and the house salsa paired perfectly. I went with the Loveland Burrito - Blackened shrimp and alllll the fixing. They press the outside of the burrito once made to give it this magical crispy outside shell. For a mountain town, I had low expectations for shrimp but it proved me way wrong. The seafood was fresh and juicy. Be warned, though, it's a bit messy to eat (but messy food is more delicious). The tacos were phenomenal and my husband almost swallowed his burrito whole because it was so good. The jalapeño cornbread was a touch too sweet but still super yummy. You cannot go wrong eating here. The outdoor patio is cozy and the wait staff were so good to us! First off, the customer service was so amazing! We were treated so well which is hard to find these days, it was a treat. The food was so delicious! Brunch is new on their menu, we went the first day they started serving it and we were not disappointed. The veggie breakfast burrito and the crispy hash browns were delicious.
